Just asking. Is it safe to assume Laz's/Quig's drone is flying above him in the same square?

Keskodai moves into the room, dropping a Fog Cloud in the back. Making them come to us! he telepathically shouts to his teammates.

That seems the most logical position for the drone

Laz moves forward silently, while Keskodai casts a spell.

The goblins run out of the cloud, and three of them FIRE FIRE at Obozaya, with another one joining from the catwalk.

One of the goblins attempts to level a shot at Obozaya, but instead hits a canister of explosive, toxic sludge. The explosion covers himself and the nearby goblins, who both let out horrible, agonizing screams as the sludge dissolves them.

The goblin next to Obozaya carefully steps back, then fires at the Vesk, but the gun functions so poorly that shot goes wide. The other goblin have better aim, though, and manage hits on Obozaya, Navasi and Altronus.

Altronus' shot brings down the lead goblin, leaving only the two cowering ones to surrender.

Combat over!

The two goblins may have surrendered, but they are still fierce little pests to contend with. Careful not to get bitten!

Keskodai sits cross-legged on the ground, away from the goblins. He speaks to them telepathically in Common.

"As rude as your greeting was, you two at least have had the good sense to surrender. I expect you'll continue to show the good sense and tell us why you chose to react so... violently to our arrival."

"Yah, we've got some questions. First off, what can you tell us about that signal coming from under this spire that you live in? Any idea what's down there? Second, a ship came by recently that crash landed here. Any survivors?"

Obozaya will describe Livewire's crewmates and their ship 'Archer' to see if the goblins have any information to impart.

The bow of the half-disassembled ship clearly reads 'archer'. The goblins see the futility of resistance, and offer some sort Hsss. Longshanks thinks we stupid, we weak. Shattered pieces of the Archer cover the hangar bay’s floor, but the cockpit is still somewhat intact

Altronus sheathes his weapons, now that their opponents have stopped fighting, and stares blankly at the goblins. "Big glowing green god? I have no idea what they're on about, but I suspect this Gutproud has a better idea of what it really is." He turns away to look at the ship, and seeing the name etched across the bow he walks toward it to cautiously have a look in the cockpit.

There's a pile of debris blocking entry to the cockpit.

After regaining his breath, he quite easily manages to get access to the cockpit.

There's a jammed locker, and the cockpit still holds some audio logs:

Bago: “I’m done! I’m sick of my brother Borgor bossing me around. I’m sick of his talk about “kill or be killed.” It’s just so ruthless. It’s just...not me. I need to break free, but how—it seems impossible. Even recording this log without his constant peering over my shoulder is difficult.

“I found a way to rid myself from my brother’s oppression, but it’s expensive. Maybe, just maybe, after this expedition to Salvation’s End, I can take my share and split for good.”

Borgor: “I feel them slipping away. I think they’re planning a mutiny. I’ve been able to delay them—I promised after this next big score, they can all go their separate ways. I have no intention of sharing the spoils of this heist. I’m going to kill them all, one by one. What to do with my dear brother Bago? It’s just not a simple matter of murder with him. No, I’m gonna enslave his puny mind. “I picked up a rich score: something my contact called Salvation’s End. It seems this hunk of scrap holds all manner of riches inside. My contact said the salvage rights were just purchased by some group called the Starfinder Society, but by the time they arrive to investigate, I’ll have it picked clean!”

Livewire: “It’s been a simple gig so far. Pilot the ship, flee the authority, get in and out. Sure, it’s tough being around that slag-head Borgor, but his brother’s attitude and constant apologizing goes a long way to make this gig palatable. Just 5,000 credits more. It’s all I need, and if what the captain says about Salvation’s End is true, this should be my last job.“

Snips: “Aw yeah, I gets to kill things, and it’s good ‘cause my murder thirst needs quenching. I don’t like captain Borgor very much. I like his sniveling brother Bago even less. I swear if Bago says, “let’s just take another prisoner,” or “how ‘bout we just knock ‘em out” one more time, I’m gonna put that big lug in my crosshairs. Huh, that’d be two kills in one shot. Anyways, after this big score, I’d be in my rights to kill ‘em all and take the Archer myself. I’m sure I can convince ol’ Don to help me out.”

Xalak-don: “Aw frag this, I got nuttin’ to say!“

Reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

"Ouch! Guess construction is not gonna be a fallback career for me..."

After hearing the logs, Obozaya says, "With a dysfunctional crew like that, it's no surprise they ended up crash-landed here. Let's see if there's anything useful in this locker."

Obozaya will take a look at the jammed locker unless someone else wants to examine it first, in which case Obozaya will step aside.

Altronus moves to help Obozaya shift the debris, but doesn't get there quickly enough to shield her from a couple of falling chunks. He bites back a shout of warning, since it's too late to be of any help now, and looks back at their other two teammates. "One of you keep an eye on those goblins please, while we check this out."

He follows the vesk toward the cockpit and listens grimly to the crew's logs, then looks over her shoulder at the locker. "Is it locked or just stuck shut?" he asks, and tries to bang it with one hand to see if it will spring open easily.

”I’ll lock ‘em down, Altronus.” Navasi keeps her pistols in hand as she oversees the goblins. ”You know, you might just be the lucky ones, getting away alive. Smarter even than your shaman. Perhaps you might even be able to get off this rock if you help us out. Where is Gutproud and your green god? And what does your tattoo mean?”

Ready to move?

Aye!

| AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM | How is my flying? | DICEBOT LOVES YOU |Starship combat cheat sheet | STEAL THIS TEMPLATE | Traveling until Jan 3, reduced posting frequency expected

The goblins pointed to the east as the location of the place where gutproud is hanging out. The elevator is to the left, but a quick inspection learns that that door is sealed off, some sort of airlock. It looks to be controlled remotely, but there's no movement in the door whatsoever.

The little area on the east side looks to be some kind of control room. A soft glow radiates from flickering computer screens, washing the various numerous workstations under a film of light the color of sea foam. The constant hum of electronics floods the room, enhanced periodically by several nagging pings from blinking console alarms.

DC 12 Perception:

There's a discarded key card lodged between the armrest and cushion of the north-most chair.

A green-screened mainframe computer terminal covers the eastern side of the command center. It periodically showers the area in harmless sparks as thick cables sprawl from underneath its exposed bulk. Entangled within the cables, only partially visible, are the charred, burned remains of a goblin.

Did Obozaya find anything in the jammed locker with the strength check that she rolled?

| AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM | How is my flying? | DICEBOT LOVES YOU |Starship combat cheat sheet | STEAL THIS TEMPLATE | Traveling until Jan 3, reduced posting frequency expected

Obozaya pries open the locker, and finds Livewire's hacking toolkit. It could come in handy in case the party'd need to repair a computer.

The mainframe seems to have been damaged by the crash of the archer, but the goblin has done a - it must be said - surprisingly good job in getting some stuff together, before he managed to turn himself into a goblin-sized fuse and burnt himself.

The engineering check isn't that hard, now that you have livewire's tools on hand

Maybe these tools will be helpful for one of you? I know my limits and when it comes to the brainy stuff, it's usually beyond me.

Obozaya offers up the tools to one of her more intelligent teammates. Which is any one of them...hehe

| AbadarCorp Entertainment Official GM | How is my flying? | DICEBOT LOVES YOU |Starship combat cheat sheet | STEAL THIS TEMPLATE | Traveling until Jan 3, reduced posting frequency expected

Oh boy, none of you have engineering? Guess we'll have to take out the good ol' crowbar then. I'll allow an untrained check with the tool (tools give +2).

Aramesh Maageri agender CG medium monstrous humanoid envoy 6 grifter | SP 12/36 HP 39/39 | RP 7/7 | EAC 16; KAC 17 | Fort +2; Ref +7; Will +6 | Init: +6 | Perc: +9, SM: +10 | Speed 30 ft, fly 20 ft (Ex) | Active conditions: none

I believe Navasi or Keskodai would be best suited for an untrained engineering check?

Altronus stares at the unfamiliar equipment and the charred goblin. "I could attempt some repair, in spite of not having any experience with the system here, but I would prefer not to end up like that individual. Perhaps one of you would be better equipped?" He looks hopefully at Navasi, who he knows is a resourceful individual.

We might have to all try it and hope for a good roll, unless one of the more intelligent folks does well.

Only one way to find out!

Navasi looks quizzically at the equipment for a moment before taking some of them and fiddling with the mainframe.

Engineering (untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
