Ants win.
After the unexpected intervention of the kind dragon, you all travel for a few hours in relative peace. But not long after, you come across two large ants. They are picking apart a large wasp. Just as you go to hide, Charlie grunts and slams his hooves into the ground. Both ants look up, seeing fresh meat in the form of charlie. They come after him. Not being able to get to him directly, one at attacks Charsi and one attacks Luthor. Luthor easily dodges out of the way due to his years of training, but Charsi get bitten by one of the ants giant mandibles. Luckily it only barely connects.
"Foul Vermin! Have at thee!" Luthor draws his Saber and strikes the ant.
Ow ow ow it bit me!
Charsi wailed out not so deftly drawing her sword and smacking the ant with it as hard as she could swing.
"Oh, no!" Adalric gasps in horror as giant bug monsters attack his friends. His eyes flicker, and his hands begin to move in strange patterns. Suddenly, a barrage of hard snowballs fall from the sky above the ants.
4 MP, Instant Duration, Targets 1 area, Range: All Areas. A barrage of snowballs is hurled at the area, inflicting [SPI](1 die) damage to enemies, while allies in the area receive half damage.
Sam darts forward with his trident in hand.
The ants, now a bit chilly, fight back with fervor. They bite at Charsi and Luthor again, both connectling.
Luthor grits his teeth, holding back a grunt as it would be unrefined. He slashes with his saber at his attacker.
Seeing Luthor is pretty beaten up, Adalric rushes up and touches him with a soothing hand. He chants in a strange language, and Luthor feels a bit better.
Charsi bit and pelted with snow, began to cry. Not the silent short sniffles of a sad child, But the aggressive wailing of one that fell down and was hurt/surprised/scared by it.... while flailing away with her sword at the evil ant.
Sam grunts at the pesky snow and continues his attacks!
Both ants fall after the flurry of attacks hit true. They crumple to the ground, lifeless.

Sam draws a knife and gets to work.
Sam is able to carve off the carapaces of each ants.
After Sam is finished with the carving, you all set out for the city. After a few hours you finally make it.
wiping away the last vestiges of her tears the plucky candy queen watched as Sam went to work.
Wow, You recken parts of dem ants is good eatin? I wonder if we can make candy from any of that?
She pondered while watching him work. The whole journey to the town she continued to ponder about ant candy.
The town is small, but dense. At its center, a wide river flows through full of boats and piers. The market seems busy, but there is something off about it.
Luthor takes a look around suspiciously. "We should resupply here, but something is wrong."
Adalric looks around curiously. "Ain't never been in a town like this afore. Is all this normal? I'd thought it would be same as the market back home."
Same here... mutters Sam. He sticks close to the group and squints a lot in the bright light.
"I do not know, but I am at ill ease as of now."
We should stop by the candy store, Candy always make everyone feel better.
She began as if the problem with the towns folk was obvious. They definitely needed candy.
"I do not see how that will help but fine, we may make a stop there."
