Quint Bonechisel |

Well my/Quints suggestion is to split the council into the home and away teams, have the away team follow the tracks and then rendezvous with the caravan closer to or at our destination. As to the wagon I suggested leaving a small group of craftswarves, guards and labourers lead bymaven to repair and then haul it to catch up with the main caravan. I imagine they should be able to do so by nightfall or else early the next morning.
Does this sound feasible to everyone? (GM included)

Dwunderbran Vulgarbeard |

In the interest of possible peaceful negotiations with our gray-skinned neighbors, it may be best if Dwunderbran isn't on the away team this time around. He can stay to help protect the wagon team, though. And maybe creep on Maven a little bit.

Dakún Rabbúhamash |

If we do have an away team, I suspect it makes sense to have Dakun on it and at least one Linguist based character. Being able to communicate with the natives would be helpful if it comes to that.
I highly favor fixing the wagon, even if it delays the main expedition. We don't exactly want to set down stakes until we know exactly who are neighbors are or whether we are within any 'national' borders.

Quint Bonechisel |

Well someone else needs to remind Quint what he said about possibly being able to talk to the Strix and suggest it would be a good idea to have him tag along. Unless it's an expedition to some strange ruins (or some other interesting or personally beneficial purpose) he's very unlikely to ever volunteer to leave camp :p

So the plan is to divide up into a group that will follow the wagon back to its source, and another that will stay behind to repair the wagon (I think I quoted the GP cost of repairs upthread either here or in gameplay; you can figure out a timetable based off of that depending on how good a craft check is made to measure progress).
The big question is who will go where? With Mineko and Angrin background NPCs at the moment this leaves you with:
Dwunderbran
Quint
Maven
Rogath
Dakun
Logem
Dwunderbran already ruled himself out for the away team, as did Maven. Logem is a toss-up, I'm not sure which direction he'd go in.
That leaves Rogath and Dakun alone (unless they enlist a few of the settlers to accompany as backup), without Quint being coerced into going along.
It's up to you to decide a team, someone make the call and I'll advance us forward! :)

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Logem has already volunteered to go on the away team - his knowledge of nature will come in handy either way, but I think it'll come in handy more with the away team.
Though, it would be nice if I could bring along my new bodyguards.. but I don't think I've finished recruiting them yet, have I?

Rogath Silvertarn |

Rogath'll go. He'll always volunteer for the away team. Unless I'm unable to post for a while for some reason, of course.
This time, I'm preparing comprehend languages at least once, possibly twice. Maybe I'll get someone to help me make a scroll of it to be the second casting.

DAKUN: Check out this. There's new info on the Ouat dwarves.

Mineko Yamauchi |

Morning Guys, I had some things come up. Long story short.. I am back home and have access to the forums. Not sure how long it will last for, but while I am here no need to get e-mail updates. I'll let you guys know if things change.

Going to have to delay tonight's update until tomorrow in light of this unexpected turn of events! I've got some map updating to do for you guys anyway.
In the interim, can I get a series of five Survival checks (for tracking) from either Logem, Quint, Rogath, or Dakun? Or you can nominate one person to roll and everyone can aid another. I need to find out how far you get tracking the Duergar.

Dakún Rabbúhamash |

Apologies regarding the lack of posts lately. I have been very busy at work and at home lately. Will try to keep up better.
I'll make the survival rolls if everyone wants and you can all just aid Dakun.
People of the Sands looks really awesome. I may need to open my wallet again soon.

Sorry for the delay, guys. RPG Superstar and two freelance projects have been dragging me down. I finished the cartography needed for the next section and am going to try and get the update post for both groups tonight or tomorrow ahead of the reveal for this round.
Also, don't forget to vote come Tuesday on this current round :)

Adding some info here while I work on the update post (yes, it's finally coming!)
By using a team of laborers to repair the wagon with their +50 craft modifier, you can get the wagon repaired with 1 full day of work. Given that you are splitting the laborers from the main settlers (being led to the settlement site by Mineko) it will count as a secondary action (travel bring the first), therefore I will have Mineko make a Diplomacy check (DC 18 due to current unrest) to keep the settlers comfortable.
Mineko: Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Which, thankfully, is successful. Further detail will be in the upcoming post!

Dakun, Logem, Rogath, and Quint: Please chime in to the Away Team Thread.
Things are going to get busy in both threads, so as to not confuse things I've split the party.

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Question, Rob:
As mentioned here, I would be done recruiting my mercenaries by the 11th - considering that is the day we found the battle-scene (And split off from the group), does that mean I have my mercenaries?
Or, actually, since I failed to remind you about this before the group split, it probably means that my mercs are guarding my remaining supplies along with my other hirelings, aye? (I have no issue with this if its the case)
I need to work out what Dr. Logem brought along with him, as theres little chance in hell that he could carry everything he owns. I'm gonna do that before I make a post, so I know what he left behind and what he took with him.
Damn me and my too-much-gear attitude. Heh

Okay! After a long delay due to RPG Superstar we're back up and running. The Hills Camp PCs have a bit of danger coming their way, and I'll need Dwunderbran and Maven (and Mineko if she's around!) to declare their intended actions. The sound of fighting is just over the nearby ridge.
For the expedition team, there's been s split between Quint wanting to explore south and Logem suggesting North. I haven't heard from Rogath in a while, so his decision could help things.
