Darvan steps forward. "I will deal with this." He spends several seconds concentrating, eyes closed, then he erupts in a flurry of voice and motion, and a pony appears on top of the pressure plate.

Lol love the interactions... That works. However, I need you guys to move yourselves to wherever you would be standing in that room. In other words, please set up your marching order. I put you guys into what I guessed would be your marching order. Also, before I continue I just want ot make sure of one thing because I am not very familiar with traps... Does detecting a trap also tell you what that trap does? I just want to make sure I am doing everything right.

The pony walks onto the pressure plate. There is a loud creaking noise as rocks come crashing down from the cieling and fall into the middle of the room onto Sidney. There is a loud bang as a stone portculis cuts you off from each other.

Marcus considers the situation for a moment. I’m assuming if we try and hack our way through the stone, without the proper equipment, our weapons will break before the stone will. We could try a combined effort to lift it, although it looks pretty heavy.

Marcus checks the ground along the bottom of the portcullis, to see if it is sand or stone. After examining the bottom of the portcullis, he visually inspects the top to see if it can be by passed, or toppled over. He also looks along the sides, to see if they are secured, or by passable.

Marcus turns to the group. The designers must have some way to enter or exit as a contingency. After considering the likelihood of an alternative entrance, he begins searching the area.

You can take 20 I think... Taking 20 assumes multiple failures before success. So, you try a few times and are unable to lift it, but then finally with a final surge of strength you are able to lift it! Either way , there is more than enough rolls here to lift the portcullis. Please arrange yourselves in your marching order.

Shafts of sunlight shine down from slots in the ceiling of this long, straight corridor, illuminating the piles of sand that have accumulated beneath each slot. Elaborate carved reliefs, their paint now faded with time, cover the walls on both sides of the passage, depicting the legendary deeds of a great pharaoh.

The causeway is 750 feet long, stretching from the outer temple to the outer doors of the pyramid. The slots in the ceiling are spaced 10 feet apart; they are wide enough to
provide normal light in the causeway, but too narrow to admit anything larger than a Tiny creature.

A 10-footsquare stone pyramid stands in the causeway 375 feet down its length.

Knowing the mindless object is about to head, full throttle, into his unsuspecting friends. Marcuse pulls out a holy parchment and holds it high into the air. He then calls to the god of battle, for the strength to stand before a worthy foe.

Shield of Faith:

School abjuration; Level cleric 1
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (parchment with a holy text written on it)
Range touch
Target creature touched
Duration 1 min./level
Saving Throw Will negates (harmless); Spell Resistance; yes (harmless)

This spell creates a shimmering, magical field around the target that averts and deflects attacks. The spell grants the subject a +2 deflection bonus to AC, with an additional +1 to the bonus for every six levels you have (maximum +5 deflection bonus at 18th level).

In anticipation of combat, Marcus's request was granted. A protective shield of faith surrounds Marcus granting him addition protection from the object. This thing is animated! Prepare for combat!

In a heightened sense of glory Marcus moves to intercept the object and readies himself for a mighty blow.

Seeing no other way around then thing, Marcus moves up five foot brining himself close enough to strike the thing. While moving in on the object Marcus draws his finely crafted greatsword, then shouts back to the rest of the group.

In order to damage this thing you will have to strike it with a mighty blow. It will not be effected by poison, sleep, paralyses, stun, or death spells. There is no way to hit it in a critical spot, and it will never slow down because of exhaustion or fatigue. This thing will continue fighting till we are all dead or it is destroyed.

Rest or move on?

If you move on...

A pair of heavy stone doors carved with images of rampant sphinxes stand at the terminus of the long causeway.
The stone doors are heavy and stuck closed (hardness 8, hp 60, break DC 28), but up to two characters can work together to open the doors, adding the results of their Strength checks together.
