The weather in Magnimar is similar to Portland or San Francisco. They don't get a lot of snow, but the wind can blow cold. It seems everyone here wears a scarf. All varied in colors and hues. Discussing with the other Pathfinders, the weather does get much colder as you near the Stoval plateau to the North East or the border with the Land of the Land of Linnorm Kings to the North West.
Varisian Scarf
Scarf, normal 5 sp 1/2 lb.
Pocketed 8 gp 1/2 lb.
Reinforced 10 gp 1 lb.
Traditional garments in Varisian culture, these lengths of colorful
cloth, transparent silk, or woven wool are used to warm travelers, distract gawkers, and preserve a family’s history. Aside from mundane scarves, Varisians have repurposed these accessories for a variety of uses. Pocketed: An elaborate design disguises several small pockets on one side of this scarf. This scarf grants you a +2 bonus when hiding Tiny objects on your person. Reinforced: One side of this 8-foot-long scarf is reinforced with chain links and metal plates. While not enough to provide a benefit to Armor Class, these versatile scarves can be used like a length of chain to climb short distances or bind an enemy. A reinforced scarf has hardness 10 and 4 hit points. It can be burst with a DC 24 Strength check.
No need for snow boots or Cold weather gear yet, but Magnimar is a major trading port and you can find just about anything here:

Varisia is also well known for tattoos
When you have an available feat Spell casters you can get a magic one:
PFS Legal Varisian Tattoo
Source Inner Sea World Guide pg. 289 (Amazon), Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide pg. 15 (Amazon), Pathfinder Campaign Setting pg. 147 (Amazon)
You bear intricate tattoos that inspire and empower your natural magic ability. These tattoos mark you as a worker of the ancient traditions of Varisian magic. A Varisian tattoo typically consists of a long string of complex characters from the Thassilonian alphabet.
Prerequisites: Spell Focus.
Benefit: Select a school of magic (other than divination) in which you have Spell Focus—you cast spells from this school at +1 caster level. Additionally, you gain a single spell-like ability usable up to three times per day. The spell-like ability gained (and its Varisian name) are as follows:
Abjuration (avidais): resistance
Conjuration (idolis): acid splash
Enchantment (carnasia): daze
Evocation (ragario): dancing lights
Illusion (vangloris): ghost sound
Necromancy (voratalo): touch of fatigue
Transmutation (avaria): mage hand

My apologies for Delay of Game. Probably a fifteen yarder.
Friends, we ask your patience and understanding for this next season of our lives (no pun from previous metaphor intended). This week we are finalizing preparations for putting our house on the market, which should happen Friday. We are working until dark thirty every night doing this. C is working extra shifts and I am working 10 hour days so we have enough time off to find our new house. Dear Jerry was transformative and important. That trip did not allow us to participate in the game and caused delays. We leave Saturday morning for Ft Myers to see Cassidy, then to St. Pete to look for houses. Again, probably not much posting going on. Pablo will be in Ireland that week, but he manages to post while doing all kinds of strange things. It looks like it calms down for C and I after June 1, but I know Pablo has his own great adventure later that month.
I just wanted to let y'all know what is up. I am having a lot of fun with the game and am sorry that we delay it so much. If needed, we can go supervise the peasants at the estate for a while to let the game move forward more easily. Thanks for your patience. :)

Done will add it to you ever growing wand list.

Yup! Since we started the magic item creation binge, that's what happens! Need to discuss a wand bandoleer similar to what Rolande has, and perhaps a fortified tube for storing the more mundane wands.

Yes! I will echo the no worries, Brent and C! I hope things go well with both ends of the move! Remember that you will be missed, though! Don't know when we'll be going to Florida again.
We can take our time. It is summer and we all have the summertime to do list! Game-wise, this sort of reminds me of a scenario that involved storming a tower with barbarians some years ago! We can keep a lively discussion going in the interim. I have questions, or I need GM rulings, about class abilities and such. Thinking of going back to my original build plan, which would go right along with the description from the book of my current class.
And now, for the low low price of 188 gp, you too can have a Wand of Disrupt Undead!

![]() |

How often are you actually going to use that?
It would be for a caster that doesn't have the spell and they would have to make a UMD roll. You never know when you might need a ray of positive energy. Helps keep the dead dead! It would have been more helpful before I had access to 5 cantrips daily and had to make a decision whether or not to be prepared for undead.
Hes a Magus, with the Wand Wielder (Su) Feat
Benefit: The magus can activate a wand or staff in place of casting a spell when using spell combat. If he fights undead and holds the wand in his off hand he adds extra 1d6 per hit.
Wand Wielder is actually a Magus Arcana. I can't wait until I can get close to an enemy with a Wand of Shocking Grasp in my off hand! Though at times it looks like I would be better prepared if I were to concentrate on ranged attacks! Next level- have bow enhanced!

I'm not sure of the subtleties of white, but it seems to be whatever white you think it should be...
Potion purchased!
You don't want to put in there yet - only good for 24 hrs.
Would Buchart be able to help Fernleaf make these potions since he can cast invisibility?

Heading to the airport in 2 hours for Ireland. I'll be able to check posts, but will be slower than normal next week. If you are up for attacks go ahead and I'll put them in order.
I don't know if there's a fog of war set up or something but I only see the glyphs for Cela, Fernleaf, and Sekkim and not the rest of the party or enemies.

I took a shot at doing a bloody skeleton ogre with the skeleton template and the bloody template and I came up with different results, which I will share below.
I also do want to ask if you want me to refrain from using Animate Dead. We can roll that all back if you are one of those DMs (like me) that find it a rather annoying spell in the hands of a PC.
Anyway, my numbers:
Ogre
CE Large undead
Init +4; Senses darkvision 60 ft; Perception +0
AC 18, touch 9, flat-footed 17 (+7 armor, +2 natural, –1 size)
hp - (4d8+8) (cha bonus to hit points)
Fort +2, Ref +2, Will +4
Speed 30 ft. (40 ft. base)
Melee greataxe +8 (3d6+8)
Ranged javelin +1 (1d8+5)
Space 10 ft.; Reach 10 ft.

Base Atk +3; CMB +9; CMD 18
Feats Improved Initiative
DR 5/bludgeoning

I don't have a problem with animate dead (Cela as a Cleric or Sarenrae will frown on using this with any frequency). In the situation you are in (50 vs 11) it can be overlooked and they put the scroll as loot for a reason. I would say frequent castings would shift a character's alignment toward evil.
Your right on the Hitdice. 4d8+8 looks correct (24 hitpoints) - OK on the stats for me.

Well, Sekkim is worried about the rangers and wants something else around that can take a hit. I've been trying to have him be guided by his life experiences (you'll notice he melees less), so I suppose how much he'll use it in the future depends on how much it helps now. On the player side, I super don't want to deal with posting actions for an undead horde, so I can't see myself animating tons and tons of stuff.
As for alignment changes - let me know when they happen and i'll play them. Muwahahaha.
