Taking a step back, Melathiel stumbles a bit as she screams quickly in pain from her leg being sliced open. "Blast these eternally damned creatures! Mr. de Lura, I trust you can handle these two next to you?" as she begins to move her hands in a different fashion, a blast of magical energy flying straight towards the goblin that attacked her.
Chuckling, Liliana can't help but hear the two behind her. "Oh come on now, not everyone has the same definition of exciting..." as she steps forward, using her whip to attempt grabbing one of the goblin's feet to try and trip it.
As Melathiel's blast of energy leaves her finger tip, it hits the goblin hard, knocking the breath out of it as it coughs up blood immediately. However the goblin that Liliana attempts to trip is able to see the whip coming and avoids it with ease. And one of the other goblins by the cart continues to ignore everything else, waving it's blade at the passing crowd.
Laughing, Theodric responds to Melathiel's question. "You're joking right? These little things? Like slicing through melons!" as he swings his giant blade at the goblin that attacked him.
As Theodric brings his blade from underneath, the blade hits the creature's leg with such impact that the metal slices through flesh and bone with ease, continuing upwards as the creature howls in instant pain. It's howls are cut short quickly as the blade continues to slice through flesh and bone easily, rending the creature into pieces as it's body crumples in such a fashion that allows for an arm to be cut off as it becomes decapitated as well.
Moving around the cart, another goblin comes into view, seeing one of its own decapitated and thrown like it was nothing. It's eyes glaring, it moves its hands in it's own fashion, the pitch of it's tune changing through it's song.
Almost immediately, Theodric hits the ground, dropping his blade as he starts to laugh manically.
Arya moves towards the goblins in front of her glancing at the woman with a whip. "Speaking of exciting, I can think of a few exciting activities that involves that whip." She readies her daggers and throws it at one if the goblins.
Watching the dagger fly through the air, the goblin doesn't even get the chance to react as the small blade impales into it's stomach hard, coughing blood up from the impact.
Seeing the dagger come through the air, one of the goblins comes around, swinging it's blade at the woman who just impaled it's buddy with a dagger.
Managing to hit, the goblin's blade comes up and slices into Arya's leggings, leaving a gash along her thigh.
Following suit, another goblin moves forward, but swings it's blade at the woman who tried to trip it.
Moving through the food on the ground however shakes off it's aim as the blade misses the woman entirely.
Continuing to move away from the scene, the crowd still moves around.
Dropping his bow and pulling out his blade on the move, Satinder moves up to the goblin who attacked Arya, and swings the blade against it.
As Satinder brings his blade down, he easily cuts down the goblin as it hits the ground lifeless, blood streaming out of it's body.
Watching the larger man come down to the ground, the goblin in front of him takes the opportunity to bring it's blade down on him.
Despite being on the ground in laughter, the goblin still isn't able to attack the man.
Another goblin however decides to try and take it's opportunity to attack the downed man as well.
Being able to stab the man in his arm, the goblin laughs in glee as it pulls it's blade back.
Watching Theodric hit the ground and become subject to attack, she yells out towards him. "MR. DE LURA! GET UP OFF THE GROUND, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS!" as she takes a step back, motioning her hands in a similar fashion from earlier, a blast of cold frozen energy leaving her fingertip towards the goblin that sunk it's blade into her partner.
"Well let's make it through this first, and then we can talk about using these whips later..." Liliana responds, pulling one of her daggers from her waist against the goblin in front of her.
As the woman misses with her blade, the goblins laughs sadistically as the other one next to it jumps forward against the woman who impaled a dagger into it's stomach, blade in full motion against her.
The movement of jumping forward however agitates the dagger in it's stomach, and it's blade just narrowly missing her.
Despite being stabbed in the arm, Theodric continues to laugh on the ground. "I'm sorry... I can't... I just... so funny..."
Pulling it's shortbow out, the one goblin continues to sing as it moves forward.
Arya smiles mischeiveously saying, "That sounds promising indeed." She then pulls another dagger out. She lunges her sword toward the goblin who just tried to attack her.
As Arya misses the goblin approaching her, the goblin next to it once again brings it's blade against the woman in front of it.
Swinging it's blade sideways, the creature slings it's blade against the woman's stomach, tearing through her dress as a red line appears across her belly, blood very slowly starting to seep out.
Through all the commotion, the crowd continues to leave the area, the majority of it fleeing into to the new cathedral.
"Well I guess I can say that it is nice to see you ladies are still in good spirits despite the circumstances." Satinder responds as he brings his blade against the goblin in front of Arya.
As Satinder brings his blade against the creature, he slices into it hard, bringing the little creature down as his blade cuts it open, falling it to the ground.
Laughing manically, one of the goblins brings it's blade down at Theodric once again.
Easily bring it's blade down, the goblin slices into Theodric's arm, as the other goblin next to him brings it's blade down once more again.
Attempting to attack while still laughing however causes the creature to miss his target.
Watching her partner begin to be hacked into, Melathiel starts to feel herself fume internally. "Get. Off. Of. Him. NOW!" as she motions her hands once more, releasing a force of magical energy against the goblin that hit Theodric.
Screaming out in pain from being sliced into, Liliana swings back at the goblin in front of her. "Aaargh!!! That hurt!!!"
Finally calming down from his laughter, letting out a loud groan of pain as the prior attacks now start to over come him, Theodric quickly grabs his blade as he tries to sweep towards the goblin next to him.
Bringing his blade up and over, Theodric just narrowly hits the goblin from the ground, opening the creature up as it falls back over limp.
Seeing this all happen, the other goblin down there stops it song as it draws an arrow, letting it loose at the man who seems to have felled two of it's compatriots.
As the arrow flies through the air, it finds a notch in his armor, sinking deep into his flesh as he lies on the ground.
"Oh these little goblins don't scare me," Arya responds to Satinder. She then swings her sword towards the last standing goblin in front of them.
Seeing it's comrades going down in what seems to be a quick fashion, the reaming goblin by the food cart brings it's blade against the woman in front it once again with a primal scream as it avoids Arya's attack.
It's rage however causes the creature to miss it's target, as the crowd finally makes it's way into the cathedral.
Quickly moving around the two women, Satinder hurries over to get another strike in at the goblin who remains.
Shifting her focus to the next goblin, Melathiel once again continues her hand movements and arcane speaking as another bolt of force energy leaves her hands and hits the goblin.
Stepping back, Liliana once again attempts to use her whip to trip the goblin across from her.
Gripping his blade in his hand, Theodric stumbles up onto his feet as he tries to get himself steady and level after being hit so many times. "This... This ain't fun at all..."
As the goblin in front of Liliana falls to the ground prone, the remaining goblin in the south end of the square notches up another arrow, letting loose at the man who's now gotten back up.
As the arrow flies through the air, it once again finds a slot in the man's armor, piercing deep once again as the man who had just gotten up now falls back to the ground unconscious.
Arya strikes at the goblin again with frustration.
As Arya brings her blade against the creature while it's down, her blade strikes hard against the goblin as the blade cuts into it's chest, the creature spitting up blood with a shriek of pain before going limp.
Watching as Arya falls the last goblin in front of them, Satinder turns his head and sees a woman still standing with her hands pointed at another goblin and the sight of what seems to be Theodric on the ground motionless. "Ladies, please there is a man down on the ground over there and woman still up. Will you join me in their defense?" he says as he rushes off immediately.
Watching Theodric hit the ground, Melathiel screams out in anger as she continues her rage against the goblin, ignoring the man who runs past her. "THEODRIC!!! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU YOU ROTTEN VILE CREATURE!!!" as another burst of arcane force energy flies from her hands, hitting the goblin.
Watching the man fall back down from it's arrow, the remaining goblin shifts it's attention at the newcomer quickly approaching as it notches and releases another arrow.
Flying through the air, the arrow makes it's mark, piercing into the man's shoulder.
Watching the man take off, Liliana catches her breath as she clutches her stomach. 'These damned creatures, constantly giving us hell. I suppose I better get down there, hopefully that man isn't dead before I get to him.' Starting to move down, she follows him. "Well if you are going to be asking favors, you go after the last one and I'll attend to the man!"
"Right behind you Satinder." Arya follows behind him and runs up onto the stage to gain advantage on the last goblin.
Ignoring the sudden pain in his shoulder, Satinder lets out a roar as he moves in on the goblin, bring his blade low and up against the creature.
Ignoring everything around her, Melathiel walks up and steps on top of one of the goblin corpses, and while moving her hands, looks straight at the remaining goblin. "I said die." as another blast of arcane force energy leaves her fingertip, hitting the goblin square in the chest.
As the last goblin falls to the ground lifeless with burst of blood coming from it's mouth, obviously a result the internal damage from the blast of energy, the area seems to go into an eerie silence.
Rushing towards the man on the ground, Liliana kneels down, pulling out the two arrows stuck in him. Checking for a pulse, she quickly responds. "He's alive, but not for very long. However, today is his lucky day..." as she takes her hands, placing one over the open wounds, the other over the man's chest and begins to speak, the pendants on her necklace glowing with warm energy.
Arya approaches the elf woman that finished off the last goblin.
"Nice finish there. Good riddance to that scum." She looks over at Theodric. "I hope Theodric will be ok. He seems to have taken a beating." Arya is relieved to see the human healing him. She then decides to search the goblin bodies to see if there's anything of worth.
Her eyes focused on the downed goblin, Melathiel comes back to as the half elven woman speaks to her. Quickly turning around, she rushes over to Theodric as the other woman tends to his wounds, seeing the divine healing occurring. "He will be okay, am I right? Thank you, thank you very much. I would be hard pressed if I were to lose my partner here. Is there any way in which I can repay you for the favor Ms..."
"Liliana. Don't worry about repayment though. I don't normally go out of my way for simple healing, however I can certainly assure you that this is not a simple case. Just don't expect me to heal every wound he continues to receive." she responds, laying the man's head down as she begins to get back up.
Looking over the area seeing the bonfire supplies start to catch fire, Satinder walks over towards the women. "Well I'm glad to know that he will be okay." Leaning over, he gives Theodric a few slaps on the face and then holds his hand out to help the man up. "Come on now, wake back up. I believe the few of us are going to be wanted by the city over the next day or two."
Gasping for air for just a quick moment, Theodric opens his eyes wide as he regains his consciousness. Seeing everyone around him, he calms down as he accepts Satinder's help to get off the ground. "Well as long as that don't happen again, I think I'll be fine..." Looking around to see what happened, he feels a little confused. "So uh, what exactly is goin on here?"
In what appears to be just moments after Theodric regains consciousness, the doors to the cathedral open up as Belor Hemlock, the sheriff, as well as Father Zantus and a few of the temple acolytes come out in tow, all making their way towards the group. "I had heard that there were some people who had begun to engage the goblins, I'm glad to see that you have been able to handle yourselves." Belor says. Looking over the group, Father Zantus quickly notions towards the acolytes. "Sister Celia, Sister Giulia, please tend to their wounds. Everyone, I urge of you to seek shelter in the cathedral until Sheriff Hemlock can assure us that it is safe." Saying a few soft prayers towards Gozreh, the young black haired woman opens her hands as a warmth spreads around everyone, as wounds start to heal. The other older woman starts to walk around, tending to anyone else who may need additional healing.
While everyone seems to be concerned more about Theodric, you manage to have enough time to only search one goblin before the group comes out from the cathedral. Searching the goblin that the elven woman took down, you manage to find only a sack on the belt of the creature that contains gold coins and a vial of dark red liquid. Taking as long of a look as you can, you assert that there are about 20 pieces of gold in the sack.
Arya slyly pockets the vial and coins looking around making sure no one sees.
Nodding towards the group, Lilana gives a warm smile. "Why thank you Giulia, always quite the warm presence. And thank you Celia, he almost gave his life trying to fend these creatures off. Sheriff, where there any of the Kitten that made it to the cathedral that you know of?"
Smiling at the older woman who tended to him, Theordic nods. "Yes, uh, Celia? Thank you for the extra care. I hope everyone was able to make it safe in there. If you need any help, I'm sure my partner, Melathiel, and I could find a way to enable such an ability."
