I'd rest and get the whole party, when you check in with the two deputies guarding the entrance they sent two to check if ye were ok and they haven't returned. They didn't know ye had gone off to the goblin Thistletop so were gone a long while from their point of view.

Milgen nods at the two unexplored tunnels. "Let's set town guards on this area, it's defensible, and we can come back tomorrow and clean this area out and then collapse the tunnels or fill them in."

Once back at the glassworks factory, Milgen waves to the guards. "Goblins. Tsuto is over here." He drags the unconscious and bound Tsuto out of the closet he'd been secured in. "He was working with the goblins. We need to put him in the jail. This doesn't go to the populace at large. We found a goblin fort on Thistletop. We damaged their bridge for now, should buy us a day or two. We need to start arming the populace. The dwarf needs access to a forge."

Anneka hurries home, where she quickly sheds her muddied and ripped clothes before her mama sees them. She should have asked Azalia to prestidigitate them, but her mind was in such a shambles after returning to the glassworks...

She doesn't want to tell mama what's happened, even though she knows the rumor mill will be turning by morning. By that time, however, she plans to be out of the house. This, of course, means confiding in her sister Arika, so that she will cover for Anneka in the store. This is an awkward conversation, one where Anneka both has to defend her ability to do anything with her disability, and also neutralize her sister's inevitable jealousy that Anneka should be the "hero" while she continues on as an ordinary baker's daughter. The irony of it all is that Anneka would give almost anything to be "normal" again herself...

Drazh returns to the tavern for the night, feeling elated from the day’s events. The death of so many goblinoids at the end of his hammer made him feel closer to his allies.

Early the next morning a letter is delivered to each of you from the Mayor Deverin. She requesting that any of your group who is willing explores the tunnels beneath Sandpoint that ye discovered. Yesterday two deputies went down to try to find your group and have not returned. The mayor is asking for volunteers from your group as you've proven yourselves highly adaptable and capable. She offers fifty gold pieces each for the attempt but if you find it too dangerous to proceed at any point you may stop but she would like to know the fate of the deputies and what exactly the goblins were so interested in down there.

Remember anyone still injured the day before can get free healing from Father Zanthus!

Miron will try to round up any of the slayers he can.

He will swing by the church after receiving the letter to pray, and to receive healing, before heading to the Glassworks.

The morning church bell heralds Anneka's arrival at the cemetary. Prone to cycle through the shrines as the mood strikes her, today she takes her morning prayers among the graves. Dressed in a dark cloak with a broad, swooping hood, she must appear a phantom herself, wandering among the headstones and mausoleums.

What did you know? she asks Father Tobyn's now-empty mausoleum. Did you know something about Nualia? Anneka has been giving a great deal of thought to the foster daughter of the priest, who evaded a burning death in the great fire, only to become implicated with goblin raids and the raiding of her own father's tomb.

Perhaps the answers lie in the goblin village, or perhaps they're found below the Glassworks, in the unexplored tunnels where Tsuto had laid his trap...

She returns to the cathedral to find Miron and rejoin the others.


Male Human Level 3 Investigator

One of the tunnels leads east to a collapse after four hundred feet. The other tunnel wanders for fifty feat before veering north for one hundred feet.

A small cavern is attached to this tunnel and inside there is movement. A hairless humanoid lurches on back-bent, dog-like legs, its hideous mouth flanked by tiny arms with three-fingered hands in which it grips a ranseur. A his elicits it's maw as it prepares to assault your group.

Drazh was the first person into the room, and it was to his great surprise that he saw the...thing...that was inside there. He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. Was it undead?

He had fought many an undead creature before, and given where they where he immediately thought of the ghouls he had heard of. While he had never actually fought one, this seemed to be like it? Or maybe an abberation?

Regardless of what it was, he swung with all of his might. It was a clumsy blow, that would only have the chance of hitting a truly surprised opponent.

Why is it that the high damage rolls usually come with low to hit rolls? Well, if it isn't undead, then it will only hit if the creature has flat footed AC of 12 or lower. Here's hoping...

This creature is a Sinspawn are corrupted products of magic used by spellcasters in a past era as shock troops for their armies. Literally the embodiment of a sin made flesh, they are sentient abominations of distilled ectoplasm imprinted with the soul-image of slain creatures that possessed an abundance of a particular sin.

After a few moments, he replies to Ferocia.

"I have no idea."

He begins to search the creature's...lair?

Inside of the creatures lair ye find the two deputies. They seem to have been viciously killed and then their bodies moved here.

Further down the main tunnel there are two tunnels heading east while the main one continues north.

Miron looks at the bodies with a blank expression.

"At least we have found the deputies. We should retrieve their bodies on our way out and ensure they receive proper funerary rites. I suggest that we head north. It is the larger tunnel, and may be more likely to have importance."


Male Human Level 3 Investigator

This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testifed by the twenty cells that line the room’s perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.

Bones lie in each of the cages and two more of the strange creatures with ranseurs stand guard here. The area through which you enter does not appear to be part of the original construction.

Far more alert than the previous one encountered they let out a rage fueled cry and spring forward to attack Drazh with their polearms but the hardy dwarf's breastplate turns aside the attacks.

GM, okay to assume Anneka would have used her cloak of shadows by now? She'd likely have activated it when entering the tunnels.

The light from Azalia's ioun torch casts Anneka's silhouette behind her. She gestures, and her shadow begins to crawl up over the ceiling toward the creature. Though perhaps if anyone were to cast a second glance, it hasn't moved at all.

Those spells are all fine to have up. It looks like whoever dug the tunnel came out into a cell. It's meant to indicate going up to another level on the map I think but that's quite awkward so as far as I am concerned you are coming through the cell.

Whenever Anneka replies in the affirmative, he will also reply with a "Yes.", picking up his spear.

I don't actually have heal, though, so these three combined is the best I've got to try to puzzle it out. Haha.

This room contains several ancient relics of what appear to be torture implements, although their function and style seem strange and archaic. In one corner sits a spherical cage with spikes protruding inward from its iron bars. In another stands what appears to be a star-shaped wooden frame, its surface studded with hooks. And in the center of the room is a long table covered with leather straps and a number of cranks that seem designed to rotate and swivel.

There is a door leading to the east and one to the south from this room.
