Raelyn shoots at the worg.
"Can one of you subdue one of the goblins with magic or nonlethal force for questioning? Take my net if you need it."
Take net out from his pack and put it down in case anyone want it.
Marcus rushes up 30ft and lets loose a blast of wind and rain.
And misses horribly.
Knowing his ability to use a net would be laughable, and nervous of the wolf and its rider, Deudon moves to stand beside Raelyn, to defend the archer if necessary.
We have to find refuge quick!, an open place is a death sentence if we found ourselve outnumbered
"Good idea, high ground would be preferable. Somewhere defensible."
Raelyn will talk it over with Marcus.
"What do you think Marcus? Thorkaa?"
Verd will see if he can find that poor guy that was being chased by the goblins. "You all right, friend?"
""This is a tough decision. Run into the clearing to catch him and get information? Or fall back to a position we can defend? We don't know what is just over that hill where the Worg rider left. "
Marcus looks to safety and back towards the fleeing figure."Now is as good a day as any." He flashes a smile at Raelyn and rushes directly for the little man. "Run for the hill, I will catch up if I can."
Raelyn will prepare to lay down covering fire for Marcus.
Armitron groans as the Worg rider turns. "Thorkaa is right, that is trouble. We should stick together whether in the clearing or on high ground".
When Marcus rushes the clearing, Armitron rushes back to his original position to grab and reload the crossbow.
"That fool druid won't last long running off like that," mutters Deudon, kneeling down to cut the ears off/scalp/do whatever's needed to claim the bounty on the nearest slain goblin. He then mirrors Armitron's action, reclaiming and reloading his crossbow.
"You think this is a good idea, Verd?"
Armitron sees Deudon's bloody hands, "Good thinking. Might as well get credit for the marauders we face on the road as well".
Armitron turns to assess the situation and determine what to do next.
Verd chases the retreating man a small ways before stopping in a slump. "Dun gonna get in more trouble running off like that"
"Uh... yeah, sticking together sounds good."
Verd follows whichever way the majority of the party goes.
"It's better we weed out the foolish sooner rather than later," Deudon states bluntly, watching Marcus running after the unknown creature. "Should he come back alive, we know we have a capable and worthy man standing with us. If he does not, then let it be a lesson in caution to us all. Now come, we dare not tarry longer. Thorkaa and Thaluck know these lands, and if they say it's time to go we'd be idiots to ignore their counsel."
Despite his words, Deudon lingers with his companions until the last possible moment, crossbow at the ready. However, should their half-orc guides depart he will follow.
Raelyn shakes his head at Deudon disbelievingly.
What god did this guy say he follows?
Armitron frowns at Deudon's words, [b] "While your words may have a ring of unfortunate truth, we cannot simply abandon one of our own".
Armitron motions for Marcus to come back but holds in position with his crossbow if he does not.
Raelyn will not loose his arrow.. yet.
Ready to shoot.
Verd swallows hard, then takes off to follow Marcus. "Come back mister! One gobbo ain't worth it." He tries to get within 30 feet of the druid, but will stop short of exposing himself past the crest of the hill.
Under his breath, Deudon sneers "Fools!" and follows the two half-orcs.
Deudon follows the half-orcs, but keeps his crossbow at the ready. He has one eye on his companions behind him - should they be attacked he might still be able to aid them from range - and another on the small forest ahead - in case something unpleasant awaits beneath the boughs.
Armitron continue to hold his crossbow ready to provide Marcus with cover if necessary.
Even as he follows the half-orcs, Deudon's eyes drift back to his companions and search the wilderness for sign of more goblins.
Are they coming or not? he ponders.
