Actually, did we see how big the robed runner is? Can we tell if he's small or medium?

As the dragon flies past and begins to bank, Lanliss lets an arrow loose and strikes this tiny beast and it takes 8 damage. It looks as if the dragon was initially heading towards Barnabus, but it has changed its course and flies in for a fly by attack on Lanliss.

Clearly not happy with Lanliss’s attack, it flies by and gets a bite off on the leg of Lanliss. Lanliss takes 4 damage.

As it flies by the dragon glares at Barnabus and says;

Draconic:
“You have made a poor choice, I will save you for last.”

Edit: Brunner double moves and makes headway on catching up to the robed figure, the clocked figure turns holds out its hands and begins to cast a spell and says; “Not a single step further or I will have to make you stop....

As Brunner charges in he looks up and sees that this robes figure is first startled, but then regains its composure and thrust out his hands palms out. Barnabus, with the help of the detect magic spell, is able to find some interesting things in this cavern. In the hoard you find a lot of mundane goods stolen from Barrow’s Edge. Plows, tools, clothes, etc. You also find 8 daggers, 3 short swords, 1 Composite Longbow, 14 arrows, 3 bucklers, 3 leather armors. With the help of detect magic you find a few magical things. You find a scroll case, a potion, a cloak, and a ring. Also within the hord you find 10 platinum, 754 gold, 1021 silver, 2435 copper.

Brunner sees the dragon fly up and out and walks over to inspect it. He cannot see where the dragon went, but it can tell that it goes up a good distance. In the corner where the chute is, Brunner discovers a collapsed entryway. There is a marble archway, stairs, and walls before there is a collapse. Not finding anything else he walks to the mage and finds that it was a hobgoblin.

K-Engineering DC 18:
This stonework here is different than that of the mine/Temple. There is something familiar about it, almost Dwarven craft but now. You finally put your finger on it. This looks like the craftsmanship of the Duergar.

Does Brunner search the mage?:
2 Acid Flask, 1 Alchemist’s Fire, 1 Smokestick, a Scroll, a Wand, 2 Potions. A Pearl and a diamond encrusted brooch. You also find a heavily used spellbook.

Brunner rejoins the group with a robed hobgoblin over his shoulder. When Brunner arrives he finds everyone looking over what was found in the horde. Scarlet is busy packing away all the coins, while Barnabus is working his magic on the items.

Barnabus opens the scroll case, and using his Read Magic spell he discovers three scrolls within. Scroll of Repel Vermin, Scroll of Warp Wood, Scroll of Detect Undead.

Looking over the potion, Barnabus is not exactly sure what it is. It is not a color of a potion the party has come across before. You do however read an Aura of Transmutation.

The cloak is a fine cloak. You actually find it surprising that it isn’t filthy being that it was found in a pile of goods in a damp cavern. This blue cloak with silver trim is a Cloak of Resistance +1

The ring is interesting. It is a silver ring that has an opal stone in the middle that shines brightly. On either side of the stone it looks like there are phases of the moon that lead to an onyx stone on the other side. On the inside of the ring there is an inscription in a language. The ring detects an Aura of Evocation and Transmutation. (Without putting it on) You believe that this ring will grant the wearer the ability to cast the spell Light at will.

With the aid of Read Magic you know that the scroll is a Scroll of Magic Missile and the Spellbook contains the following spells: 0 level: all. 1 level: Burning Hands, Cause Fear, Color Spray, Magic Missile, Sleep.

The wand is a Wand of Magic Missile with 10 charges. You are able to easily discover what the two potions are because you have had them previously. Potion of Cure Light Wounds and a Potion of Resist Energy (Acid).

Detecting Magic on the Pearl and Brooch give no aura, it could be something that the hobgoblin found pretty.

Rerk perks out with a wide toothy smile. He then slides his sword into the sheath.

Goblinoid:
