Rerk looks puzzled as Scarlet is talking. He starts to look between Scarlet and Brunner. As he begins to speak is points his sword between the two of them.
Rerk looks around and sees Dalron and goes up to him and begins to speak to him.
After the short time that this enteraction has been happening, you see a few more goblins peaking into the room from down the hallway.
Scarlet Blood
Scarlet scratches his head. "Hmm... Seems Rerk calls himself the new chief now and says they will stay."
Dalron Northfield

Dalron looks at Rerk
"hagr sfieu nv dbb sdbie kijdh errf Grsssj jhagxndhd tsgsrer zzess kdhs hhhkkiut."
[spoiler=Goblin]The deal was you would become chief, And I told you that it will be unsafe for goblins here in this cave so you need to lead your people to a new home.[/ooc]

Scarlet things for a moment and then smirks. "Akhuun daan zel'darlaan. Dach duun daal. Taan ar o shac kegaan der daal ar o huulkeraan khruur duun taach ac mech daal. Rhaaluulkaan dhagaar or tuulkaakhec."
Brunner Hammerfell
How humiliating, is Brunner the only one who doesn't speak goblin?
'There was the wolf rider we captured, they should find him, let him help them.' Watching the conversation, Brunner, taking out the key to the padlock on the wolf-rider they captured, he recommends: "They shoods fin' th' wolf rider an' gang as far frae th' humans as they can." Holding out the key, he offers. " If ye fin' th' wolf-rider, unchain heem. Ah woods hae awreddy but he ran aff."
GM RelicBlackOUT
Looking between Scarlet and Barnabus Rerk speaks up;
Rerk turns and goes down the hallway where the other goblins are looking out from.
The two things you have not checked out yet is the mine that was covered in spiderwebs, and the dug out tunnel. But, you have completed what you have came here for. It is your call.
Brunner Hammerfell
Watching the new goblin chief leave, Brunner snarls. "We need tae quit promisin' these gobo's 'at we will lit them bide."
Shrugging his shoulders, "What's dain is dain." Pointing back to the room, "Let's gang see if thaur ur onie prisoners 'at hae survived. th' dug it tunnel is jist athwart th' way." He begins walking back to the room which had the tunnel dug in the corner.
GM RelicBlackOUT
The party goes back into the room where the hobgoblin battle was, both have been bleeding and there is not sign of life.
You all look at the dugout tunnel and realize that the humans and elves will need to craw, the dwarfs will need to crouch uncomfortably.
Is it safe to assume that Scarlet will be taking the lead?
The tunnel takes a steep decline and plateaus off about 30 feet worth of travel. Once you get to this point you start to feel something sticky on the walls of the tunnel, with a closer observation you notice that this tunnel is tarting to be taken over by spiderwebs.
Does the party continue on?
Brunner Hammerfell
Crouched in the narrow tunnel, Brunner see's the webbing on the wall. Chiming in with Barnabus. "It is stoaner tae believe it is jist a coincidence. we shoods hae gart 'at gobo teel us whit they did wi' th' prisoners."
He taps Scarlet on the back, "We shoods gang back an' see if th' mine is connected. it looked loch we coods at leest stain up thaur."
Turning to the others, he recommends, "Let's gang back laddies."
Lanliss Endarro
How humiliating, is Brunner the only one who doesn't speak goblin?
Nope. Lanliss does not, either. Most clerics are woefully low on skill points.
Not fully able to follow the conversation with Rerk, Lanliss doesn't say anything since it seems that the goblins have decided to leave peacefully. For now.
Scarlet Blood
Scarlet nods at Brunner. "Yeah. Lets head back and go the other route with the spider webs. I really don't look forward to running into a giant spider while we are all crawling through this tunnel. Especially with me in the lead." He gives a strained laugh.
GM RelicBlackOUT
The party turns itself around and head back towards the mine section of this Dwarven Keep. Once they arrive you see that the fine crafted stone worked hallways turn into a more natural cavern system that winds deeper into the hill. With no light within, your are relying on torchlight or your dark vision. You can see that this area is still covered in webbing, something that is thicker than what you would see from normal spiders.
As you are looking you see railcart tracks poking out from the ground, and spotted here and there the carts themselves are still present. There is also a hint of fresh air that wafts from somewhere farther ahead in the darkness, carrying a low, weirdly melodious sound thought the caves. The sound rises at times to become a frightening shrieks, while at other times it rumbles into moans and sobs.
Walking 15 ft into the mining vein, it opens into an alcove to the west. This roughly 30 ft round domed room is thick with webbing. Looking around the room you find large oval shaped pots clung to the walls, size range from a helmet up to something that looks like it could fit a human. You can feel a breeze coming from the top. It is hard to notice, but you see what looks like a chimney chute going up. Possibly causing the noises you are hearing.
Once moving forward, the party comes to a split in the mine. One path Ys to the left, the other Ys to the right.
GM RelicBlackOUT
After casting a light spell on a rock and tossing it down the left passage you see that the webbing begins to settle down. You notice that the webbing on the ceiling continues to move, with your perception you notice another one of these built in chimneys. A few moments pass and the light begins to become dimmer and dimmer. This is unnatural because it hasn’t diminished due to spell length.
Everyone notices thousands of tiny spiders encompassing the stone the light was cast on.
GM RelicBlackOUT
As you have been walking through the halls of this Dwarven Keep, you find yourself running your fingers over the phases of the moon on the ring you found. The Elven inscription; “for Alenea,” floats in your mind. Something that you possibly have heard of.
At this exact moment Barnabus cast the Light spell, an Arcane Spell, and your mind becomes a whirlwind, then it becomes crystal clear. Is Alenea referring to the legendary sorceress from three millennia ago.
You have studied her in time because, much like yourself, she was an adventurer and a wanderer. Along her travels, Alenea had become the lover of Eldarniel a wizard and court mage of a powerful elven king of old.
It was said in legend that he crafted a ring for her that would always guide Alenea’s path back to Eldarniel. Him being the court mage, he was not free to travel the world as she was.
Lanliss Endarro
Lanliss was lost in thought as he looked at his new ring. Then he looks up, sees the spider swarm, and his eyes go wide. He frantically digs out the flask of alchemist's fire from wherever the party has stashed it.
Scarlet, please put my name in cell C17 on the "Expendables" tab of the loot sheet. :)
Brunner Hammerfell
'How do we destroy all those spiders at once? What else do we have that will burn.' Pondering for a moment, Brunner finally asks. "Whit if we pit th' oil oan th' grin in a dub. 'en pit a glowin' rock in it an' ance th' spiders shaw up, catch it oan fire?"
translation, oil puddle, glow stone, spiders show then burn em
Scarlet Blood
Scarlet reaches into the bag of holding and pulls out one of the flask of oil. "Here is one of the oils."
"I sorta hope those spiders are the ones that made all of these webs and they aren't just babies."
Scarlet Blood
Scarlet hands over the vial of oil and watches with excitement in eyes for the fireworks.
GM RelicBlackOUT
Dwarfs have hardvision and can see 60 feet in the dark
Barnabus cast Light on a rock and tosses it onto the pile of spiders. They swarm onto the Light. After a moment they have now noticed the party with the minor conversations they are holding.
Barnabus and Brunner can see this if no one has brought out a torch up to this point, and may take an action as they are approaching. Otherwise we will go into initiative.
Scarlet Blood
Scarlet reaches into his pack draws out an acid flask. It might not be as good as the alchemist fire, but it at least does splash damage.
GM RelicBlackOUT
It seems that everyone is frozen by the sight of the approaching spiders. Dalron takes several steps backwards. Thousands of tiny spiders creeping and crawling their way towards the party.

Scarlet throws the vial of acid in his hand at the spider swarm. "Sorry, but I don't want to take a spider bath."
He then backs away from the swarm. Not wanting to be in front at the moment.

"Fun fact: Many problems can be solved with fire!"
To illustrate his point, Lanliss hurls the flask of alchemist's fire at the spider swarm.
splash attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
He misses the particular spider he was aiming for, and... hits the one right next to it?
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Then he draws the bugbear's morningstar hoping that the broad head will be somewhat effective.
GM RelicBlackOUT
Scarlet and Lanliss throw vials of liquid towards the incoming spiders. Scarlets hits true and seems to deal more damage than it would have to a normal foe. Lanliss’s vial hits moments later dealing a large amount of damage finishing off the spiders. You hear the tiniest of screeches as the acid and fire burn them away.
So they are flat footed, those attacks are touch. Their effective AC is 10

Barnabus shouts out to the group alerting them to what he sees. The webbing above begins to vibrate more and more as whatever it is continues to get closer.
Everyone has the time/ability to do one standard action before whatever it is, is within sight. It currently is out of sight of the dark vision for the two dwarfs, the light from the hallway behind the group doesn’t shine in deep enough for those with lowlight vision to see.

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
'Huh? something moving through the webs.' Distracted by his friends impressive display of pest control, Brunner doesn't throw his vial of oil. Instead, when Barnabus calls out, warning about something in the webbing, he pockets the vial and begins to draw the hammer. "Weel, big ur wee, th' hammer shoods be able tae smash it."
Standard action: puts away the vial... he will draw the hammer next round
GM RelicBlackOUT
As everyone is getting into position they hear a screech that is answering the screech of the mass of spiders that were burning away. This high pitch screech some how also has a low roaring effect. Coming into view you see a massive spider crawling its way towards the party on the ceiling. Its abdomen and legs are a glossy black. As it continues its way towards the party you can finally make out a marking on it, a red hourglass.

Double my bad. The ceiling height is only 15 feet. This creature is about 10 feet away from the group on the ceiling hanging down, its large size. So yes you would be able to hit it. And they are standard potions. They last a minute, so they would be over by now.
Scarlets arrow flies and strikes the spider causing it to scurry for a moment. Its eyes, all of them, focus in on Scarlet.
Brunner Hammerfell
'I'm glad Scarlet moved back, he will be easier to keep safe back there. Now to deal with Momma' Having tucked the oil away, Brunner moves forward, drawing his hammer.
