Scarlet smiles at the blacksmith. "Yeah. The bag is real handy in carrying loot and other stuff. As for all these weapons and armor, they are what we got off of the goblins and hobgoblins."

"We are looking to sell and trade these stuff. One of the items we are looking for is a composite longbow that can use a person's own strength. Two of these bows if you have any."

After conferring with Barnabus about the magic rings, Lanliss takes it to the elven magic shop owner. He introduces himself, explains what he knows/suspects about the ring, and then asks the mage if he can determine anything else about the ring.

"Don't you see? Eldarniel created the ring to aid Alenea in her travels. I don't know if Alenea ever finished her search, but I suspect that this ring never did. It's possible that Desna has given me this ring to guide me in my own travels."

After finishing the meal and hearing Sarah tell use about the city.

"You are a wealth of information Sarah here is a coin for your troubles" and hands her a silver coin.

He gets up, grabs his things and heads out the door.

Scarlet @Blacksmith
“I don’t have anything exactly like that. But, if you are going to be around for a while I sure can make them. I can easily to some trade with the weapons and armor you all got from your bag there. Give me a few days and I will have them done for you. 400 gold worth of trade?”

Brunner & Dalron @Inn
Sarah things for a moment before responding to Brunner “I heard there was a wizard to the north, might just be one in that town. I am sorry, I don’t travel much. I don’t know for sure.”

Sarah reaches out for the silver coin, her eyes widen, and her smile goes from ear to ear. “You are overly generous. Thank you! And, it was no trouble. It is my pleasure.” She gives a little curtsy before going back about her work.

Dalron @Sten Goodseller’s Emporium
As Dalron walks into this crowded shop he hears the jingle of a bell attached to the door. Coming from around the counter Sten greets you with her warm smile. “Master Dalron, you’re back?” Looking around to see if anyone else is with you “Just you, is everyone else ok? What can I do for you today?”

Scarlet smiles. "Sounds good to me. We'll be staying at the Inn, just send word when the bows are ready and we'll come and pick them up with our trade."

Heading back to the Inn, he'll inform those that are still there what he has done. "I've a good trade going with the blacksmith. We'll trade in the useless armor and arms we collected for two nice composite bows that let you use your strength more efficiently and a little bit of gold left over. They will be ready in a few days. Which is good, some of us still need to rest some. Especially because of that poison."

Barnabus visits Thaimor at his shoppe and purchases materials for 4 additional scrolls of first level spells.

After making the purchases, Barnabus asks the elf.

"Thaimor, one of my companions heard a rumor of a wizard that lives in a city to the north? Have you heard anything similar? Would you have any other information?"

"My friend, you need not to worry. I have never found a need for a great many coins in the wilds. A creek does not ask for them and when you take a drink, a tree does not ask for any when you pick a fruit. And I still have quite a bit left if I need it for things that I must use them for. Besides a lady like that I am sure has caught the eye of one or more farmers sons around these parts and she could use some coin for a dowry for when one of those lads catches her eye as well. For me my hart still belongs to the morning sun rising over the tree topped mountains and the cool breeze in the air as you watch the deer take a drink from the babbling brook.

He pats his long whiskered friend on the shoulder as he walks out the door and call out.

"Watch for spiders I would hate for the elf to be stronger than you." as he gives a smile and giggles out the door, ready to duck if a mugs get tossed his way.

at Sten's Emporium
"Greetings Lady Sten, we have all arrived back in one piece. Well mostly in one piece, Brunner took a bite from an over grown spider and still feels the effects from the poison, but he should be right as rain in a few days. Do you have anything to help fight against poison?

I am glad to say that the caves are clear, but when you travel to your suppliers, still take guards along if some of the goblins got away from us and go back to waylaying wagons on the road again.

And talking about traveling, the city to the north, do you know if someone like a wizard sells services to add magic properties to arms and or armor? Brunner is wanting to magic up is gear."

Barnabus @the Mysticality

Thaimor gathers all of the components for Barnabus and places it on the table before him. After hearing his question, Thaimor’s eyes narrow as he thinks.

“What are you in need of? I do offer a lot of services of the arcane arts... There is one in a village to the north, but not one that can offer much more than I.”

Dalron @Sten Goodseller’s Emporium
Listening to the story of what happened, Sten face glows with excitment.

“Wow, its amazing that you all came to help us. Hopefully Evia was able to write out a a tale to tell in taverns.”
“Something for poison? Have you tried talking to Listra at the Erastil Temple? That seems like something that she would have dealings with.” As Sten mentions this, you remember that Listra did mention that she had a few antitoxins for sale if the group needed any.

“Adding magic to weapons and armor? That seems like the work of a skilled mage. You might need to travel to a larger city to find a mage like that... you know, you could head west to Segeleta. That is a much larger city, I know they have mages that could do that kind of magic. If you were heading that way, you could make a delivery of goods for me along the way. There is a small town just north west of Segeleta called Kingsholm. I deliver goods to them from time to time. There could be some coin in it for you all. What do you say?”

“Interesting. Well there is a mage to a village to the north, but nothing beyond what I can do. I cannot enchant items. You will need a larger city. There is one that is to the south and one to the west. They are about the same distance away, almost a weeks travel.”

Everyone goes about their day running what errands they wish do to. An odd thing is beginning to happen as it begins to get later in the morning, almost approaching lunch time. The people of the community begin to becomes more and more friendly, welcoming the party and thanking them for being in Barrow’s Edge. Clearly word has spread about what you have done for them. From time to time you will find a child that will run up to a member and give them a little token of thanks; a paper doll, or a ribbon. It doesn’t seem like much, but to them it might be the most they can give in thanks.

About midday the party meets back up in the inn’s private room for lunch. You all look around and notice that Evia has not returned for lunch. In the middle of the table you find a wax sealed letter, unaddressed.

Wax Sealed Letter:
You open the letter and find a short note written within.
“My Friends,

It has been a great pleasure to travel with you and am glad that I have been able to help where I could. I believe that I owe you a better fairwell than a note left behind, but I am not good with goodbyes. The path I am setting off on is one that I must travel alone, but I have our story to fill my heart of our time together.

It might not be much, but as I set out I will share of the heroic deeds that were done here. You are all grand heroes that deserve to go down in legend for saving the lives of these humble people. I will do my best to spread your story. Maybe someday, down the road, you will stumble across an inn with a bard in it singing about your deeds.

Thank you, and you will always be in my thoughts. - Evia”

Shortly after arriving Sarah comes into the room bringing in a tray with dried meats, chesse, and bread. When she brings in a few pitches of wine and water she speaks up;

“I hope this day has been relaxing for you all. Did you do everything you needed to do?”

How that for a plan everyone? Do we have some coin to pick up any anti-toxins from the temple? Just in case Brunner goes playing with spiders again."

Earler Barnabus @The Mysticality
As you are getting up to leave Thaimor speaks up. “As much as I do not want to let these go, here are the books you came for. They were great studies... Thank you for all that your party has done for us. We didn’t get much travel in the first place, but this certainly will help the small flow we did have.” [i]Thaimor seems to go back to looking through a book as you see yourself out of his shop.

Now
The the rest of the day goes by fairly uneventful. Those who go out about the town will eventually be overran by all of the villiagers trying to thank you for the work you have done. This evening, if you go out into the common room, you will also find that it is full. Looking around it almost becomes obvious what has happened. There is a three to one ratio of girls to guys. You don’t need to make a sence motive, heroes are in town...

If anyone wants to do something specific let me know and we can RP that out.

The Next Day
Morning comes, maybe earlier for some than others who spent the night drinking and dancing. Eventually, everyone makes their way to the private room.

Walking into the private room you see the dwarf Arvel Durgedown waiting for the parties arrival. “Morning friends! I don’t mean to rush you along, but I am excited to see this mine and the temple of Torag. Whenever you are ready lets head out.”

You see a tray of fruits, and dried meats. Also two pitchers are sitting there. One of water and one of milk. Everyone is able to eat their fill

If there is anything you’d like to do upto this point feel free to do so. I will check back in a few to see what everyone would like to do.

Scarlet drinks some of the water, learning the hard way that milk doesn't go well with travelling in one's stomach. He does grab some of the fruit though to snack on along the way.

"To the mine."

Brunner relaxes the rest of the first day there in the private meeting room. Smiling and nodding as he passes through the common room to go to his bedroom later that evening. Sleeping like the dead very tired, he isn't disturbed by the carousing late into the night.

Waking up feeling better, he moves downstairs going to the private room. Seeing Arvel he smiles and offers the local dwarf his hand in greeting. "Greetings auld mukker, nae rush at aw. aam probably as excited tae shaw ye th' temple as ye ur tae see it. lit us grab a bite tae eat an' we will be aff."

Seeing the others grab food for the trip, he stuffs a couple apples in his pockets. HE stabs a large piece of ham with his knife and follows Dalron out the door. The party takes their time getting their fill of breakfast before setting out. The journey goes rather uneventful. As you approach you see the visual remains of what looks like a tribe of goblins leaving. Junk, object to heavy to carry, and broken goods litter the entry way to the mine.

You show Arvel around the mine. He is happy to see the size and possibilities of what could be here. The main rooms he is interested in are the temple, the mine, and the chamber the dragon was living in.

In the Temple
“By the great hammer.... this is even more grand than you described.” Looking over the rubble “These were once statues of Torag’s Paragons, his chosen warriors in the war against the underdark drow.”

In the mine
“This is a sizable mine, it will take some work to clear the webbing and see if it can still produce. But, if it can this will change the lives of everyone in Barrow’s Edge.”

In the Dragon’s room
Pointing to the collapsed stone door way
“There was a time when this mine was active, they dug deep and found an entry into a lower world. They found a distant relative, the Duergar. These deep dwarves traded with us, and gained our trust until.... until they turned on us and slaughtered most of these followers of Torag.” Pointing down to all the bones on the ground

“We used the remaining explosives to cave in their entry with hopes it would not allow them to retreat home. The war ended after years of struggle that happened here in this room. The mine was long forgotten.” He pulls out a book. “This book is called The War with Kin... I had no idea it was of this mine and temple. Thank you for clearing it, I believe it would be an honor to those who had fallen here and to Torag to reopen it.”

The if anyone wants to do anything here they can, just let me know

The party heads back to down after the mornings journey to the mine. Upon arriving back to the tavern, you see Garret leaning against the bar talking to Sarah who is polishing mugs. It is rather obvious, but there is something between these two. Garret turns when he hears the group come through the doors.

“Well, I think I’ve got them like you asked. They are a little better than the ones I make for the hunters around here, but I do believe they will do you all well.”

The party has two Composite Longbows Mighty +1

As you are talking to Garret, Sten walks into the tavern. “There you are Dalron. Any word on what I had asked you about the delivery? If you are able to take it, I can have everything packed up and ready to go this afternoon.”

Garret smiles at Lanliss’s praise of his craftsmanship.
“Well to be honest, most of the weapons I make and repair are bows for all the hunters that come through the woods, and even short bows for the farmers to get rid of foxes and scare off wolves. But thank you for your kind words!”

Sten responds to Barnabus “Well it looks like you all have talked about it. If you are going to take load, I have a small cart and a donkey that can haul the load for you. You can leave it there, I will be able to head that way in a few weeks and pick them up. Just not able to head out there now.”

Earlier
’Even had a statues of his chosen warriors, impressive…a sizable mine, that’s what I wanted to hear, I wonder what they were mining, and if it relates to that holy symbol we found. ‘The war with the Kin’ I wonder if he would let me read it. As they leave the mine, Brunner walks near Arvel. ”As ye ken th' bain shares everythin' equally. th' toon trysted us 'at we coods keep whit we fin'. noo ay coorse we will need someain local tae oversee th' mine, an' Ah can hink ay nae a body better than a fellaw dwarf tae dae 'at.” ’I know Arvel is a devout dwarf, but profit helps whet the stone.’ He smiles at his of friend. ”whit percentage ay th' profit will ye need tae help 'at come tae pass?” What % does he want?

at the tavern
Seeing the blacksmith, Brunner waits until Garret explains about the bows, as Sten speaks to Dalron, Brunner draws out the holy symbol, ” Ho ye garrit thes symbol was in th' temple we foond. woods ye be able tae teel me whit type ay metal it's gart frae? an' if it's common in these parts?” What kind of metal?

If you need any skill rolls for answers to the questions, please let us know :-)

Is that what you really want to do?

Arvel talking to Brunner
“It’s hard to say, the book is more about the war that took place between the surface Dwarfs and the Duergar, it has no mentioned about the resources mined. It will take some time to clear everything off to explore the mine. I will have to hire some expert dwarfs to come in and help out with this. It will take a good bit of time before I can even get to thinking about what is being mined and the profit that we will see... That is no bother for this moment.”

Back at the tavern

Sten continues on; “The delivery needs to be made to an old friend of mine, Herron Hilltopple. He is the owner of the Kingsholm General Store. If you don’t mind, please give him this letter. When you are all ready to head off come on by and I will have the cart and donkey ready to go.” Sten hands the party a wax sealed letter.

Garret takes the holy symbol from Brunner. “Hummm, I haven’t seen anything like this in a long time. There was a man who came through that had a sword made of this same material. A very exquisite piece. At first glance you would think that it was just a royal decoration, but it was rather deadly... and accurate. He called the metal adamantine. It is the metal of the celestial he said.” Handing it back to Brunner “This is truly a priceless item.”

The rest of this day goes on without anything out of the ordinary. The party have discovered that everyone has quickly gone back to their way of life, as simple as it is they need to continue to makes ends meet.

Unless the party wants to explore the mine and the resources within, it will take longer than the party really wants to spend before Arvel gets the miners in town to unearth the resources.

Fast forwarding to the next day.

The party gathers all of their belongings and head over to Sten Goodseller’s Emporium. When you arrive you see Sten outside loading up a wagon. You see a two wheeled wagon being supported by a donkey. From the looks of it, two people can ride upfront guiding the wagon.

She sees you all walking up “Hey! I have everything set for you all. It is about a weeks travel to the East. I packed some provisions for the journey. The roads are mostly safe, just don’t travel that far off the path. Is there anything I can help you all with before you go?”

Scarlet takes the wax sealed letter from Sten and secures it in the bag of holding. "Safe and sound."

The next day, after eating some breakfast, he joins the others at the Emporium and climbs into the wagon, taking a rear seat looking backwards. Figuring he will keep an eye out behind them while they move toward the city.

on the road
'That is no bother, Good, we will sort it out when we can.' Listening to his friend as they walk back to town, Brunner nods, "Perchance puckle devit men will come visit th' temple an' inspect th' mine at a reasonable price. Ah lae it in yer hans. consider yerself uir steward, Ah will send fur wuid when we hae time."

at the tavern
'Metal of celestials, well it certainly is the metal of Torag.' Having a new admiration for the holy relic, Brunner, gently takes the symbol back. "Truly a holy item 'en. we will hae tae fin' a guid haem fur it."

Scarlet
'I would be selfish to keep it.' Taking the adamantine relic to Scarlet, Brunner hugs it for a moment then hands it to Scarlet, "Scarlit laddie, Ah want ye tae pit thes back in th' poke. it's a holy relic gart frae adamantine. we main fin' a proper buyer fur it. i've got nae reit tae keep it frae th' kirk, nur deprife mah comrades ay it's blessin'. Financial ur otherwise."

I would be ok with investigating the mine more, or just heading on and leaving it to Arvel. So we can get going, I will post the next morning.

Inspired by the holy relic Brunner wakes early and spends extra time in prayer. Meeting the others for a quick breakfast and a few fond farewells to the staff that had taken such good care of them, he follows Scarlet to the meeting place. Watching Scarlet climb in the wagon, Brunner nods, "Guid idea scarlit, ye drife, Ah will bide oan th' grin, whaur Ah can use mah hammer."

Turning to their new employer, Brunner takes her hand, "It's bin a pleasure Sten, we will gie yer supplies safely tae maister Hilltopple." Turning, he looks to see if Dalron is ready to lead them out.

Lanliss holds up a wooden circle that hangs around his neck with an elaborate butterfly carved onto one side of it. "My holy symbol is made of wood. From a tree, probably," Lanliss offers.

He will walk alongside the wagon. Bow in hand and strung when it warrants.

Before we are on the road to Kingsholm

Dalron will go to the temple and spend 2500 cp and 750 sp to buy 2 Antitoxin. That should lighten the bag with that has no weight.
He will give one antitoxin to Scarlet and the other to Lanliss.

Talking to Arvel
"We came across a bag of gems could you tell us the value of them?"
Showing the pouch from the Shrieker room.

Talking to Garret after looking over the bow
"Well done master blacksmith, you are truly a man of many talents. This town is blessed to have you here. How much would you give me for my old longbow and this composite longbow here?

What ever Garret is willing to offer above 80gp value for both, Dalron will take.

To Sten
"I was able to talk it over with the group and we have agreed to do the job. Will payment be here or upon delivery? And do you have a map of the area that you can part/sell us? I would hate to deliver the goods to the wrong town."
He gives a little chuckle.

So with a belly full of food, A new bow in hand, and hopefully a map in his pack. Dalron leads the party to their next grand adventure just down the road.

Is that what you really want to do?

@Dalron
Listra greats you and blesses you after you buy the Antitoxins and let her know where you are heading next. She is greatful for all you have done.

Showing Arvel the gems his eyes widen, as any good dwarf would, when he sees the gems. “You have a few nice sized gems in there. I would say with an honest merchant you would get 250gp worth of trade for them. You all did some hard work, and it looks like you were rewarded handsomely.”

Garret takes hold of the bows and looks them over. “I don’t have the gold, but I think I have something that you could use. I’ll meet you back here this evening.”

Later this evening Garret walks into the private room where the party is resting. He is holding something that is wrapped up in a cloth. He sets it down and unwraps it to reveal two arrows, but they looks wildly different from any arrows you have seen before. The heads of the arrow are a glowing red hew, and the shape of it starts off as a normal arrow and instead of ending in a point opposite of the tip, the end in what looks like flames.

“I came across these a few years ago. I thought that they were just oddly shaped arrows and was going to use them while hunting. There was a third one, I used it while hunting deer. When I let loose the arrow it looked as it if transformed into a flame, when it struck the deer the fur around where the arrow sunk into it began to burn. I was going to hold onto them incase things became worse with the goblins, but you took care of them. If you’d like, I would trade these two for those bows.”

If you took the trade you would have two Flaming Arrows, mechanically speaking they do an extra 1d6 fire damage.

Sten hears your request, but shakes her head. “I don’t have a map, but if you have a map of this nation I can mark on your map exactly where this village is.” If you have a map in your possession, she will mark on your map the exact location where Kingsholm is.

@Brunner
Arvel overhears the conversation between Scarlet and Brunner and he approaches “Brunner... I don’t mean any disrespect but you would just sell this symbol of Torag to a common merchant with the right amount of coin? I am a lover of coin and I wouldn’t do this. If you do not want it or believe yourself worthy, you should leave it here for the temple in the mine. Once we get it running I am sure we will have a priest of Torag over the mine... That is a holy symbol that belongs to a Dwarven follower of Torag, not on a merchants shelf.”

The party gathers the following morning at Sten Goodseller’s Emporium the next morning and loads up to set off. Looking at the cart, it can hold two people to ride up front. Currently Scarlet has climbed up onto one of the spots, there is still one more.

Everyone says their goodbyes and another round of thanks for all the party has done for the community. Hitting the road, the party finds the journey rather pleasant. Unlike the rain soaked arrival, you departure from Barrow’s Edge is a comfortably warm sunny day. The birds are chirping, from time to time you see different wild animals scurrying in the woods. You think that this could be due to fact that the goblins and dragon have been removed from this area.

The journey to Kingsholm isn’t an exciting one, but it also isn’t a dangerous one. The road is a main thoroughfare that allows for two carts to pass by eachother. At night you find yourself camping with other travelers, sharing stories of great deeds of the heroes of old. Those at your camp find your story to be amazing, some smile and think that it is more of a “tall tale.” As the journey goes by, the party is greatful for the provisions that Sten packed for you; rations, waterskin, and a barrel of water to refill the skins.

Just over a weeks travel, the party begins to see a warm glow of lights emanating from a village tucked away behind some rolling hills. According to the timeline Sten gave you, this is Kingsholm.

If there is anything you all would like to do before leaving Barrow’s Edge, or even during the travel to Kingsholm feel free to do that now. I want to get things moving, but don’t want to glaze over anything you all would like to do.

Scarlet gladly hands over the coins when Dalron request them, especially for the antitoxin, seeing how badly the spider hurt the group before. When offered one of the vials of antitoxins, he smiles and puts it in his belt pouch for easy retrieval.

-----------

Scarlet enjoys the journey, especially since they didn't have to fight anything along the way. When camping with others, he has to force himself to keep his hands to himself. Remembering it wouldn't do to have his friends and companions accused of stealing from other camp goers in the unlucky chance he got caught.
