"Huh I must not of seen'ya there" Hernvet turns to Maffei "The names Hernvet Bargill and yours?"
Turning to the newest member of the group, the Shae introduces herself. "You may call me Maffei. I saw you fighting in town during the attack. It is good to have you with us."
With the room free of danger, as far as you know, Kyzen moves to the sarcophagi are start inspecting them. The carving on them identify them as the resting place of old Taldan soldiers. From what the kineticist can see, there are no traps on them.
Inside the tree alcove to the north stand a single black pillar. Each pillar has a dozen of small niches carved into it. Inside of those, you find a small funeral urn. Finally, in the southern alcove, you see stairs spiralling deeper into the ground.

Kakrish stands back to allow the others to look into each of the sarcophagi. He hums silently to himself trying to come up with another tune.
It takes a few minutes, but the group manages to inspect the entire room. The urns in the pillar only contain the ashes. Probably from long dead people that were burnt on a funeral pyre. The sarcophagi take long to examine but also reveal better surprises. The first two contain the corpses of long dead soldiers with age damaged armor. The last one, however, reveal a very nice light steel shield. It shows no sign of rust. As you pick up the shield, you also notice a ring on the corpse's finger. It is made of black steel and feel cold to the touch.

Without a way to detect magic I am unsure if I can use spellcraft to identify anything. Gonna try. I think I recall something about working with someone else who can detect magic. Welp, does not matter. lol.

The group decend to the next level. There, they find a smaller room. Near the east wall of this oval chamber is an altar, the front side of which is carved to resemble a winged eye. A chalice and a small leather-bound book sit atop the altar. There is a double door to the north.

If he finds no traps he will look into the chalice and examine the book's cover without picking it up,
Confirming that there aren't any traps, Kyras moves forward and studies the items on the altar. The chalice seemed to be made of pure gold. The craftsmanship level of work and the precious stone decorating add even more to its value. As for the book, it would be a collector's center piece. It is an antique tome of prayer for devotees of the Last Azlanti. On top of it, it is currently in very good condition.
