Kakrish Stonetoe
reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Kakrish jumps back but the flames still singe him. "What? I thought the raven was going to the south while we were going to check the north alcoves. But I can help here." As Kyras kneels down to check out the trap on the floor, Kakrish puts his hand on the halfelf's head and mutters a few words of divine magic. "There, you have some guidance in your task now."
cast guidance on Kyras
Hernvet Bargill
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
The fire shoots up as hernvet turns his back to it, after the fire passes there is a faint bit of smoke coming off of the end of his tail.
"Ouch!"
He grabs the end of his tail and pats it out
"Might I suggest a lil'bit of patching up before we continue?"
Rannik
Kyras manages to find and is working on removing it, when the Raven flies back toward you. "You got incoming, fire elementals showed up in the alcoves when the room filled with fire." As he finishes speaking, three small fire elementals walk into the room.
Kakrish: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Hoga: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Hernvet: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Kyzen: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Kyras: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Fire Elementals: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Kyras, you may either participate in the battle or continue to disable the traps. You estimate that it will take you about 2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8 rounds before you finish. If you fight now, I will let you keep you roll of 27 for after the combat.
The fire elementals took their turn to get in the main room, you guys are up.
Hernvet Bargill
Hernvet grabs his holy symbol out of one of his many pockets and says something under his breath and uses Channel Energy on the party.
Healing: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
Kakrish Stonetoe
Kakrish looks at the incoming elementals. "Ok. This will be fun." He steps back to Hoga. "Here you go. Now you can really smash them." He touches Hoga on the chest and a pulse of power surges in him. At that same moment a wave of power from Hernvet floods over Kakrish and heals his wounds. "Woohoo! That felt great!" He draws his weapon. "I'm ready now."
Activating a blessing. Hoga, you have a +2 increase to your weapon damage for 1 minute.
Kyras Darksoul
Hmm. if I do not think the trap will reset immediately I will join the melee.
Kyzen
Feeling rejuvenated, Kyzen moves ahead and blast the one to the left
"Hummm much needed healing, now lets blast them quickly, shale we!"
Kinetic Blast (Point-Blank + Elemental Overflow)
Blast/B Att: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 20
Blast/B Dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 16
Kyras Darksoul
Then Kyras needs to stay and disarm the trap. 8 rounds is a long time. I did not
Even know that it could take that long.

I was surprised too, but that what the table said on this page: [url=http://aonprd.com/Skills.aspx?ItemName=Disable%20Device]Disable Device[/url
Just waiting on Hoga.
Hoga the half orc
Hoga goes into bloodrage mode, casting Resist Energy (10, fire) on himself as a free action, and attacking the closest, hoping his magic axe can hurt it.
bloodrage, PA: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Not now, anyway...
Rannik
As the elementals get closer, only Kyzen attacks one. His aim is perfect. The elemental is burning with a lot less intensity, then the other two. Since Hoga is the first one in front, they all focus on him.
slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Hoga Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Hoga, what is your current AC? I see 16 & 20 on your header and 17 on your character sheet.
Back to you.
Kyzen
Kyzen moves into the room and focuses on the same one...
"Lets see if this one can douse you completely!"
Kinetic Blast (Point-Blank + Elemental Overflow)
Blast/B Att: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 17
Blast/B Dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 17
Kakrish Stonetoe
Kakrish steps forward with his sword swinging.
greatsword@elemental: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Hoga the half orc
Hoga, what is your current AC? I see 16 & 20 on your header and 17 on your character sheet.Back to you.
Hoga's at 17, normally. so he got hit once. I'll update his AC. It should be 17 (21 if he has Shield up, which he doesn't). Since he's bloodraging, it falls to 15.
Kyzen
Where is Maffei? We lost her since post 2854 on page 58.
Kyras Darksoul
Right. She should be with us. Could use her in this fight since Kyras is stuck disarming a trap for 8 rounds. (I did look up disabling a magical trap and the time requirement simply says "varies". I figure I have to spend the time to disarm the trap or it will hit us all again since it takes 8 rounds to disarm at best Kyras has two rounds to do other things. But he has to be back to the starting point at the end of 2 rounds and that is cutting it too close.
Hernvet Bargill
Hernvet moves around Kyras and draws one of his star knives and throws it at the elemental infront of him.
StarKnife(Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot): 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 20
Damage(Point Blank Shot): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Kyzen
I’ll play her gladly, I have lots of spare time...
Kyzen
Ah kids... always slowing us down!!!
*** WINK ***
Rannik
Nice crit Kakrish... too bad that elementals are immune to crits.
An elemental is a being composed entirely from one of the four classical elements: air, earth, fire, or water.
An elemental has the following features.
Immunity to bleed, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Not subject to critical hits or flanking. Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack.
Proficient with natural weapons only, unless generally humanoid in form, in which case proficient with all simple weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Elementals not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Elementals are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.
Elementals do not breathe, eat, or sleep.
With one elemental dowm and another injured, the battle is going well for the group. Both focus on Hoga and manage to get passed the Bloodrager's defense and inflict some minor wounds.
Slam vs Hoga: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Slam vs Hoga: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
11 damage total on Hoga since the start of the fight.
Back to you.
Kyzen
Kyzen will focus his attack on the injured one...
"Come on guys, lets put out those flames!"
Kinetic Blast (Point-Blank + Elemental Overflow)
Blast/B Att: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 23
Blast/B Dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 15
Kyras Darksoul
Kyras continues to work to disarm the trap.
I hate to miss the battle but the trap can potentially do more damage to us than these small elementals.
Hernvet Bargill
Hernvet moves up right behind Hoga and touches his shoulder and says Lets see them fell'as hit the floor and uses his Bit of Luck ability.
Here is what it does: You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Kakrish Stonetoe
Sorry about that.
Kakrish steps up to the elemental facing Hoga. "Here's a little more fire for you." He slashes with his greatsword at the elemental.
greatsword@elemental: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12
Hernvet Bargill
Hernvet touches Hoga again and uses bit of luck on him again.
Sense it was not needed last time and it only lasts one round ill give it to you again. You might want to roll them both regardless just to see if you get a natural. But do whatever you want :)
Kyzen
Kyzen moves a bit to the left, so to have a clear shot at the last elemental...
"Hey nice hit again... Lets go Big Boy, finish it off!"
Kinetic Blast (Point-Blank + Elemental Overflow)
Blast/PBS Att: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 1 + 1 = 21
Blast/PBS Dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 16
Kyzen
Sleeping is overrated... Hahaha!!!
Kakrish Stonetoe
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Kakrish winds up with his greatsword as if ready to strike the head off of the elemental but Hoga's axe seems to have defeated the creature. Kakrish deflates. "Well, I guess that's good." He turns to Kyras. "So? How's it going with that trap. Need some help? I can sing you a song of inspiration."
Without waiting for acknowledgement Kakrish begins to bellow a jaunty tune.
three, three, threeeeee
elementals, elementals, elementals there beeeeee
but not anymore, by the door, not anymore.
but not anymore, by the door, not anymore.
He repeats the catchy melody trying to get the others to join in.
Perform(song): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Kyzen
Kyzen follows up with...
"Hurry, hurry, hurry Kyras
Please disarm the traaaaaaap
Burn, burn, burn
Or burn, burn, burn We'll beeeeeeeeee"
Perform(song): 1d20 ⇒ 18
Rannik
With the last elemental down, the room feel colder. Kyras manages to get the trap disarmed and now the group is able to freely explore it. At the same time, Maffei walks down the stairs and take a look at the group. "I just finished exploring the surroundings of the crypt outside. There is no other sign of any undead out there." She pauses for a second then smile. "What happened to you guys?"
Kakrish Stonetoe
Kakrish's song tapers off just when Maffei arrives. "Heated? Ah! I see what you did there." Kakrish tries to slap Hoga in the shoulder but only reaches up to his forearm. Ok. So now where?"
