That crit was brutal. Hoga's taken a bad hit. He needs "heals!" (Vork in The Guild). Dropping his bloodrage is too close to no hp.


Kakrish downs the last foe with a perfect swing of his sword. With no other statue coming to life and the corpse in the sarcophagus still dead. You are now able to see what is in there. The dead knight has a golden circlet on his head and a golden full plate armor. There is a clasp that holds the remains of a rotted blue cape about the corpse’s neck. On one of is finger, you find a ring inlaid with green gems.

Hoga, don't forget that Hernvet healed you for 6 points before the battle ended.

Here's the loot you found in the sarcophagus. The full plate, the clasp and the ring are magical.

Taking a short rest of well deserved victory, the group start taking a closer look at what is in the sarcophagus. After everything is done, one thing starts feeling weird, this seem to be a dead end.

Kyras shrugs. I am no wizard. I cannot even tell if they are magic.


Looking around, Maffei finds a secret compartment in the base of the sarcophagus. Once opened, she finds a single lever inside. She doesn't notice any traps on it, so she decides to try it out. There is a moment of silence and then a stone grinding noise can be heard from the previous room. Looking back, you see that the floor as open up and that the stairs now continue to spiral down to a deeper level of the crypt.

"Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!" Kakrish races into the other room. He waves the others to him, urging them to hurry. A gleam of excitement is in his eyes.


With Kyras in the lead and Kakrish close behind, the group descends deeper into the crypt. Finally, the stairs end. The room is about twenty five feet in diameter and there is only a single door to the west. It is a massive one, decorated with multiple carving. The last few steps of the stairs are covered by water. Once on the floor, you judge the water level to be about one foot deep. It is also extremely cold.

The carving on the door seems to tell the story of a warrior. You see what looks like the depiction of his different victories throughout the years. The center one shows the same warrior, but now he is standing next to a depiction of a woman. The two are standing in front of a keep. The woman looks a lot like the one you saw in your dream the night the town was attacked.

Hernvet detects no magical aura, and Kyras finds no traps. The door, however, locked with what looked like a very sturdy lock.

Kyras and Maffei manage to unlock the door, yet the door still won't open. It feels like the water level isn't equal on both sides. Someone strong needs to push on the door to fight the pressure from the water in the next room.

Whoever tries to open the door needs to roll a strength check of 18 and an Acrobatic DC 10

"You unlocked the door but it won't open? Are you sure you unlocked it?" Kakrish steps up and fiddles with the lock enough to convince himself that it is open. "Well then, I guess this just needs a bit of brawn to open." He grabs a handle on the door and begins the pull as hard as he can. He boots slip on the wet stone beneath his feet.
