Kyras pushes the door open and he is greeted by a rush of freezing cold water. It seems to last for an eternity as he struggles to hold the door open. After a while, the level equalise and he is able to fully open it, revealing the room beyond. A single stone sarcophagus, its lid carved to resemble a handsome human aristocrat, sits at the western end of the room. Four circular alcoves open into the room at the western end as well, each of which contains a less ornate stone sarcophagus.
Kyras Darksoul
This looks Ominous. Kyras states. I recommend we buff before going in. He will cast Bull's Strength on himself and drink his potion of Shield of Faith.
Kakrish Stonetoe
Kakrish peers through the doorway. "Even before that, Kyras, we should probably do a little checking for magical auras and stuff." He slowly casts detect magic throughout the room.
Kyzen
"Seems to be a bad thing, since I heard you say it twice" Kyzen then stands ready for action...
Maffei-
"I heard it too" She then pull out her swords and stands ready...
Kakrish Stonetoe
"Ew. Necromancy." Kakrish first lifts one foot out of the water, then the other. Of course, not being able to levitate, he has to put the first foot back down. He does this jig for a few beats, splashing water on everyone around him, before he gives up.
"We should keep our eyes open. Could be some undead around here." He wields his sword and slowly scans the room, looking for movement. He moves into the room in a ready stance.
Kyzen
Kakrish, I've moved your icon into the room, ajust it as you please
"Not staying in that filty water!" Kyzen double moves into the room by climbing the wall so he could be about 1 ft to the ceiling and clear the water (it's 1/2move for him in the water) and has he enter the room... "Now let's take a look at this room"

Kakrish walks into the room, sword at the ready. He is followed by Kyzen who uses an innate ability to climb walls. As expected, within seconds of the two being in the room, the noise of stone grinding on stone can be heard from one of the farthest alcoves. It is followed by a big splash and then two smaller one. Kyzen can barely make out a humanoid shape moving near the sarcophagus.

Kakrish looks around at the sound but fails to spot anything. Ripples glide across the water from the far end of the room. "Ok. Whoever you are, come on out and face the music!"
Perform(sing): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 A low roll like this deserves a bad song...
He slowly begins a song with a low voice.
"Undead and scary,

but moldy like hay.
That's what you are to me.
Undead, in bed, moldy hay, everyday.
Undead, in bed, moldy hay, everyday.
Undead, in bed, moldy hay, everyday.
"
His song starts to peter out as he struggles to find more lines. He moves forward and wields his greatsword, ready to attack if anything comes close.

Kyras Darksoul
Kyras advances to a side room that the undead did not come out of and proceeds to open a coffin.
Rannik
Yep, the miss chance was for the undead attacking Hoga.
Looking down at what remain of the creature, Kyras is able to identify it as a wight, a nasty undead creature that can drain people vital energy when they attack. Before his magical enhancement expires, Kyras move to one of the alcoves to open one of the sarcophagi. With his new size and increase strength, Kyras as no problem sliding the cover off. As the thing land in the water, you hear the same noise coming from another room. You also start hearing whispers that are slowly growing in intensity. But, while they are getting louder, you still can't make out what they are saying.
While a new creature appears in the archway of another alcove, the one in the sarcophagi that Kyras opened jump into action also.

School illusion (shadow) [shadow]
DESCRIPTION
This spell functions like shadow evocation, except that it enables you to create partially real, illusory versions of sorcerer or wizard evocation spells of 2nd level or lower. If recognized as a lesser shadow evocation, a damaging spell deals only one-fifth (20%) damage.
shadow evocation
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range see text
Effect see text
Duration see text
Saving Throw Will disbelief (if interacted with); Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
You tap energy from the Plane of Shadow to cast a quasi-real, illusory version of a sorcerer or wizard evocation spell of 4th level or lower. Spells that deal damage have normal effects unless an affected creature succeeds on a Will save. Each disbelieving creature takes only one-fifth damage from the attack. If the disbelieved attack has a special effect other than damage, that effect is one-fifth as strong (if applicable) or only 20% likely to occur. If recognized as a shadow evocation, a damaging spell deals only one-fifth (20%) damage. Regardless of the result of the save to disbelieve, an affected creature is also allowed any save (or spell resistance) that the spell being simulated allows, but the save DC is set according to shadow evocation’s level (5th) rather than the spell’s normal level.
Non-damaging effects have normal effects except against those who disbelieve them. Against disbelievers, they have no effect.
Objects automatically succeed on their Will saves against this spell.

Hmm. Kyras is not in a good position and would not have placed himself there as he cannot attack adjacent creatures with his weapon. He anticipated the creature being in its coffin and would have been within his 10' reach. With permission I'd like to rearrange the battle field only slightly and will do so If its a priblem we can reset it back. The squares not being square causes a little confusion as well. Let me know if this is ok.
Rannik
The wight is still lying on his back at the bottom of the sarcaphagus. Attacking from 10 ft away, I don't think you would be able to reach inside. Also, no matter how big you are, to push the lid over, it would make more sense to be on the side of it. Plus, while the creature isn't helpless, it is in a coffin, lying on its back. So I don't see why you can't just do this.
Kyras Darksoul
RAW I do not threaten adjacent creatures and cannot attack them. I do not even threaten at 10'. Only 15 and 20. I did not mean to bog down the game. Sorry about that. I just do not want to be adjacent to an undead that I cannot step away from or attack while large in a small room. And expecting the undead, would have never moved to where you placed me, even if it meant not opening he lid. So how do you want to proceed?
Rannik
I know the RAW, but more realistically, this weapon was meant to drag knights of their horses and then kill them while they were on the ground. So, someone should be able to do a downward two-handed thrust to hit an enemy at their feet. But anyway, I moved you back outside the small room. You can make an attack vs a prone opponent, but he also has a cover. So that is a +4 -4 situation.
Kyras Darksoul
Gotcha. I can't really anticipate how you might allow house rules in advance though and sorta have to play by RAW. :) I do agree though.
Anticipating that an undead would be in the coffin Kyras strikes as soon as the lid slides off before 5' stepping to not totally block the door. He is ready to take an attack of opportunity when the undead stands or when any other approach closer than 20'.
