Surrounding the lone wolf the group finally manages to put it down, albeit with some sadness from some members of the party. Their current docking location provided them some measure of isolation as not a lot of people are in the area and those that are in the area are well off in the distance doing other tasks.

Passad emerges from the hold of the ship and sees the carnage from the recent battle. Matella the dwarf is behind him and also sees what the party has wrought and hisses angrily "This is just what I feared! We must flee the harbor immediately! Before more Razmiran guards come around!" and she begins barking her orders at the sailors to shove off.

"Get what you want from the dead and then toss them overboard once we are off the docks..."

RETCONNED
Hellena and Beckett ensure none of the Razmiran guards perishes from the dock fight and the group heaves their unconscious bodies off the boat onto the wooden docks before leaving. Acknowledging that the docks were currently sparsely occupied during the fight, the group knows it takes a lot of time to undress an unconscious body, and not knowing how much time they do have- wisely leave the guards clothed before pushing off and continuing down the river.

The expression of lost and confusion on the young halflings face is amusing to look at. "But... ay? ..." But he slowly accepts that he will not understand everything being said. "I'm.. a hireling? I suppose I can play the part."

The party continues their discussions about themselves and what best cover story and approach to use as their boat sails down the river.

The river narrows ahead, flowing around a central isle thick with trees and vegetation. The northern fork of the river runs beneath a canopy formed by the isle’s overhanging trees and riverside foliage while to the south, the river is open to the sky above.

"Which fork of the river do we take.... north or south...?" one of the crew asks the adventuring party.

Again taking a step back in decision making.

As they press on towards their destination, Ser Dante takes the time to practice his sword forms on deck in the glorious weather. Still wearing his full armour, unwilling to be taken unawares by any 'faith barges' or Sczarni river pirates, the Taldan Knight steps between each form elegantly, shifting his balance to allow for the odd movements of the barge. As the crew enquire on directions, the warrior shrugs.

"I know very little about sailing so wonder why it is the decision is asked of us instead of using your professional judgement." he replies sternly. "But let us humour the 'fates' eh?"

The crew sail the boat down the north side of the river and as the boat skirts the island that bisects the river. As the group is chatting away, sharpening weapons or practicing swordplay a few folks notice a ripple in the water near the ship... which sprays upward as a drake throws a snake onto the vessel in a surprise move...

Hearing a splash interrupt his training, Dante turns in time to see a Drake and its lunch crash out of the water towards the boat. Reacting quickly, the Warrior darts up the stairs towards the Drake and slashes with their Sword.

"So Taggins! Seems we have met our Dragon already!" he laughs, clearly oblivious to the distinctions.
