When Lun's fist finally connects with skeleton, a high-pitched sound vibrates the undead apart. Old bart's attack is more conventional, breaking the spine of the skeleton with his shield. Cedric's eidolon finally manages to chomp on a few bones as well, it's mouth filling with the taste of bonemeal.
Sixteen sends an explosive in, which explodes right on top of the final two skeletons, covering them in fire and spreading the bones.
Combat over!
Something stirs in the closest end of the large cave...

Yes, the cave is gloomy and depressing again, and the mental state persists.
The stirring in the darkness appears to be a humanoid form, whose outer flesh has been torn off. Great wounds fester across the body's chest, and Cedric notices that is doesn't seem to have any bones. Then, it opens its eyes and speaks, with a cracking voice Has my brother returned?

I come from a corner plane, a higher reality. Everything is more bright, more vibrant there. This lesser reality...
You wouldn't know. Lathuraz, my brother. He is a powerful and dangerous being. I helped... his face shows the signs of pain I helped stop him once, but I was greatly wounded in the battle. Now you must either take up the cause or stand by and watch this lesser reality become his personal toy. Hidden behind the four doors, there are four items that can be used to defeat Lathuraz. The rod of mercury - it serves as a compass to find him. The cloak of trapping, which will bind him, the manacles of lesser reality will render him helpless. And then there's the sword - his own blade - which will slay him.
So much to explain. The four doors, they open every 500 years. 500 years I've waited here, 500 years my brother has been locked up. He cannot escape... the gaunt man rattles the fourth door...

Yes, the staff. It has a ball of mercury in it. It might point toward me a bit still, though I am weak. My brother, he is much stronger. If you have it, use it to find him, but not before you have the other items... at the very least the sword. Weapons you produce cannot harm him, only the sword...

Sixteen, Mimir, are you both doing well?" Lun asks before moving forward in this dreadful place.

The mimir still looks somewhat shaken, but Sixteen is doing Status: green. All systems functional.
Moving deeper into the cavern, it suddenly fades, giving way to a deeper darkness, a black nothingness stretching in every direction. For long moments, the avdenturers simply feel as if they are drifting silently. Then, sensations come in. Nobody is able to move, unable to lift as much as a single eyebrow, but there is the feelings of... things.. moving along your flesh. You feel a great pain, as if a thousand creatures crawl and bite in your skin, as if they are eating you alive! Lun sees one emerge from beneath his eyelid, rising up before plunging down again. It's a long, pale-colored worm, bloated on the meat of his body.
I need everybody to make a DC 13 will save or be dazed while...
The vision fades, and is replaced by the now-familiar sound of dry bones moving about.

Sorry for the delay and lazy post. My new job has really taken the wind out of my sails now that I've gone from an average of 4 hrs a week with sporadic casual shifts to 38, with a crazy new sleep schedule to boot. I'm disgustingly behind in some of my faster moving games so I've been focusing on keeping abreast there. Feel free to bot me for any quiet spells in the next few weeks. I haven't lost interest, I'll just need some time to settle in to the new routine.

Stepping through the archway to the south, Lun hears a a sound that holds the middle between a clicking and a hissing. The air smells a bit stale here, and the cavern floor is ever vibrating. The cave is large and deep, and Lun can't escape the feeling that something is lurking in there.

Lun notices somethign chittering in the darkness, some spiderly abomination. It would be completely invisible in the darkness, if it weren't for one of his eight eyes occasionally releasing a faint, but colorful, sparkle.

Bart will lunge headlong toward the fray, ensuring his compatriots stay safely behind him and meeting the spider head-on. Double-move. Maybe overextending myself, but with 20ft. landspeed I don't want to have to take a Run action in the dark.

Old bart runs in as fast as his weary legs can carry him. The spidery creature looks antagonized, and climbs up a pile of rubble, one eye aiming at the floor in front of Bart, shooting a frosty ray and covering the cave groun in an glassy sheet of ice.
Sixteen starts babbling while a compartment opens in its side, producing something that looks like a syringe Alert: Significant threat detected. Advice: proceed with caution. Assessment: recent actions contrary to advice. Evaluation: Expansion of martial resources required. Action: superprompt extrasystemic skeletomuscular accumulation
With that, Sixteen charge at the Fuzz, aiming its syringe for Fuzzy's behind.
