Finnius’ dagger misses by a hair’s breadth, and then everyone but Kyra is gagging on the cloud of stench that fills the room and can’t do much more than clutch their stomachs and retch. The cleric casts a spell to bless the party, though it doesn’t help them at the moment. Vladamir tries to get past the dangerous little creature, but the effort is too much and it lashes out with a claw (AoO Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 = Hit! Claw Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3), wounding the sorcerer.

The demonic-looking thing attacks the sorcerer that tried to rush past it and bites his leg, wounding him so badly that Vladamir nearly passes out.

Party is up! But everyone except Kyra is nauseated while you remain in the room, which means you can only take a single move action for the time being. Kyra, I do need another Fort save from you, so long as you stay in this room. Sorry folks, that’s a nasty spell for 1st level characters to deal with so keep in mind this situation can get really bad really quickly (even worse than it is!) There is a door to the north that leads into the hallway, but you recall that Vladamir mentioned that he spotted a trap on the far side of it. Your only other option is to somehow try and get past the foul creature blocking the doorway...

Finnius moves to open the door, which springs the trap, causing the statue to topple over, its wings smacking at anyone that would have been standing on the other side of the door! Fortunately, as the knight opened it from inside the crypt, he is unharmed, and the path out of the room stands open!!

Vladamir, you are still in the cloud and will continue to be nauseated until you move out of the room (taking only move actions, unable to attack or cast spells.) Since you only moved 5' this round, I'm allowing you to instead move your full movement out into the corridor through the north door with your single 'move' action in this round, if you wish. Because of the hard corner, the demon cannot take an AoO against you. Just wanted to make sure you understood the situation.

How does a low level monster have DR/5? Even with Cold Iron/Good, A group of level 1's stand very little chance at taking it down. -Just asking!

Vladamir will take off his backpack and take out a potion of cure light wounds and drink it.

Not sure how many rounds this will take due to being Nauseated and Disabled and not knocking myself unconscious with the effort. Please advise.

Kyra staggers away too, and the demon slobbers and gibbers as it moves through the cloud after the retreating Pathfinders, catching Gery and slashing at him with a claw, its talons again raking into the warrior's flesh painfully. As the others continue to retreat, Vladamir pauses, reaching into his pack to draw forth a potion of healing as he continues to retch.

Remember all, only a single move action only while nauseated, and opening a door is considered a move action. And for the record, I agree, this is a horrible monster to put into a low-level game. That Stinking Cloud is deadly...

Gery stumbles away from the demon, and the creature claws at him when the fighter drops his defenses for an instant but its talons scrape off his armor. Moving behind the sorcerer, who quaffs a healing potion, Finnius and the others take a stand, the knight standing protectively ahead of the others, with the exception of Vladamir, who is busy chugging a potion. The demon's eyes fix on the less armored of the two and the slavering thing lurches forward, its talons slashing and unfortunately undoing the healing he had just taken! But at least he isn't killed outright...

The party tries to regain control of their heaving stomachs in order to fight as Vladamir backs away,but unfortunately the demon steps toward the sorcerer and continues to attack him, dropping Vlad as one claw tears into his neck (5 damage), opening a near-fatal wound. Immediately the creature spins to attack Kyra, biting her on the leg (5 damage) like a rabid dog!

I tried finding information about this, but couldn't find any. They all state that I get a penalty=negative damage, but don't state if my Con bonus is added or not. I am adding it to the roll, if it doesn't apply, then subtract 2 from the result, please.

Finnius makes quick work of the demon, the first dagger driving deep into its chest, and the other slashing its neck, nearly to the point of beheading the evil demonling!

Moments later, the others are able to breathe and act normally, though the floors are a disgusting mess. Kyra is easily able to prevent Vladamir's death and heal the others. The rubbings in the crypt have nearly been completed, perhaps another half hour of work is all that remains. But the Pathfinders have other issues to deal with as well. For a demon running loose in the temple is of great concern...

Nice work! The cold iron got through its DR, which is cold iron OR good - not both (which kinda surprised me.) Vladamir, you would have made your roll and failed re-roll after Finnius finished the dretch, so keep your folio reroll, as I doubt you'd have used it knowing that Kyra could heal you unhindered in the following round. You still have several rounds left before you would have died permanently. Kyra, just let me know the details of your healing, whether by spell or channeling (Vladamir will be at -6 HP on your action). I'd also like to know how you plan to proceed, whether you finish the task you started or do something else.

Kyra heals everyone, and only Vladamir has a few minor scratches and bruises left over from the brutal battle - and the sorcerer uses his magic to protect himself from further harm. Finishing their task after about 30 more minutes of work, it is approaching dusk and the Pathfinders must now deal with how to best confront the evil that they have suspected and now have definitive proof of with the body of the dretch, as well as the other evidence they've gathered...

Let me know your plans. Note that you have explored the entire temple and met all of its inhabitants. Pretty much all that's left is to confront Dakang - who is protected by his aasimar bodyguards. Just to help move things along a bit, you'll need to present evidence to the aasimar to help prove your case about the evil that is present in the temple in order to see Dakang (unless you want to battle your way through them instead). Feel free to discuss what evidence you want to present and who will be making the Diplomacy check (and if anyone will be assisting the roll). Also decide how you intend to approach Dakang himself, should you win past his bodyguards. If you want to discuss OOCly, you should probably do most of this in the Discussion tab until you're ready to post your final actions in the Gameplay tab. Though RPing out your plans in Gameplay is not only just fine, but also strongly encouraged! :)

The Pathfinders make their way back toward the door they were barred from before, and they find one of the aasimar bodyguards standing at attention, her hard eyes upon the group as they approach...

Regnum, finally over his caughing and gagging fit, reloads his musket, and follows the group to the barred door. Trying to look menacing, he waits for someone to speak.

The Pathfinders speak to the aasimar, who soon calls out for the other two, the trio of outsiders soon intrigued and then angered by the evidence and convincing arguments provided. When they are finished, the one speaks in a tone of loathing. "We have been deceived, but our oaths limit us in what we may do. Dakang was most clever in the wording of the contract that binds us. But reporting this news to our superiors cannot be faulted, and this we must do immediately."

Her eyes flicker to each of you in turn before she speaks further. "The confrontation with this great evil must therefore fall to you. But we can offer further assistance to this noble and good cause. Follow." The aasimar leads the Pathfinders through the curtain and into the chapel where she touches the font with lithe fingers. Immediately, the basin fills with clear water.

"Dip your weapons into the font and they will be blessed by Korada for the coming battle. We wish you luck in the struggle. You will find Dakang in his private room." And then the three aasimar take their leave of the temple, disappearing through the door and out of sight.

Once the Pathfinders have made their preparations, they move through the last door leading into Dakang's room, finding a spacious chamber containing a simple bed, a writing desk, and an enormous armoire. A Spiral of Korada is drawn along the north wall, but the drawing is made up of several small marks resembling the double-headed arrows that the temple worshippers would draw upon their faces during their rituals.

The obese Dakang is sitting at his desk when you enter, and when he turns quickly to face the Pathfinders confronting him his beady eyes narrow and the corner of his mouth pulls back in a lurid sneer.

Because of the evidence provided, the DC to convince the aasimar of Dakang's evil intent drops from 32 to 24 (-2 for each bit of evidence you mentioned providing), so you were able to convince them.
The water acts as Bless Weapon (10th level CL). Let me know any and all preparations you'd like to make. If you'd like to enter in a different fashion, I can retro that if need be - the result will pretty much be the same however you go about it, I'm just eager to push us through this final battle. If you wish to talk you may do so, or feel free to just roll initiative if you attack with no warning.

Vladamir drinks another potion of Cure Light Wounds (auto-healed the last 2 points to full), then dips his staff and dagger into the Font.

At this point, Vladamir is happy to just go in and gank they guy, but will follow the group's intentions.

I will dip both masterwork cold iron weapons, plus my flame forged steel and mitral daggers, then set my wrist launchers with flame forged steel and mitral and carry the cold iron daggers.

Regnum sees Finnius dipping his weapons into the water, and Regnum, smart as he is, dips both his barrel and bullets in the same water.

Kyra will dip her scimitar, and sling with 10 bullets in the blessed water.

"So they could not stay and tell everyone they were lied to and to help fight with us? We I guess it is best to have the ones who know what they are doing, to do the fighting."

Dakang rises to his feet as the Pathfinders confront him with their blessed weapons. "So, what is the meaning of this? You dare to confront me in my own sanctified chamber? Korada would be very displeased with your actions, and I can only imagine how he must feel about the fate of the aasimar you have defeated to reach me. Explain yourselves, and perhaps I can appeal on your behalf for forgiveness."

I know, I thought it odd the aasimar wouldn't hang around either! No reasons were given in the module, I just sorta made up that very weak excuse on my own to give some sort of logic to their reasoning for not joining you in the fight.
