Realizing that Deaglan might be in a serious situation, Alia rushes to his aid.

Alia moves W, W, NE. She then spontaneously casts Cure Light Wounds (sublimating her prepared Protection from Evil spell) on Deaglan.

Ah, as I look at the map closer, that appears to be the gnoll that I was targeting! Sorry for any mix up.

Ruprech hurls a bomb at the gnoll but his aim is thrown way off as he stumbles over a loose board. The bomb ends up gong right over Ennoia and the sailors landing on the over side of them and wounding one of the sailors as the bomb bursts in a torrent of flames.

Again Allenye places herself in a position that puts her enemy between herself and an ally. I am not sure who or what enemy because the map still shows me on the plank ;-) If I have to move through threatened squares, Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27.

As she takes position, she punches with her dagger.

"Shades! All this commotion is distracting me," Allenye thinks to herself as she misses her target. "I must focus!

Hmm I have you on the ship as you had just flanked and killed the previous sailor.

Allenye tumbles around the deck avoiding all of the blows from the gnoll and sailors swinging at Ennoia and makes it around behind the sailors.

I need damage for your main dagger as it hit also Allenye

Alleye swings her daggers at the sailor as one connects biting deep into his flesh.

Snarl cracks his whip at Ennoia in another attempt to trip her. As the whip grasps firmly she holds her ground.

As the two sailors around her smash with their hammers missing as they strike the deck.

If Ruprecht or the first arrow kills the gnoll, feel free to reassign the remaining arrow(s) on the closest sailors, but please substract the smite (-3 to attack, -2 to damage) since it's on the foreman only.

Ruprechts bomb arcs over everyone on the ship as it lands directly on the gnoll. As the smoke clears the gnoll is lying on the ground with the smell of burnt hair as wisps of smoke rise from the body.

Ennoia takes a step back and releases two arrows at the sailors that have been assaulting her with their hammers dropping them both to the ground as an arrow protrudes from their chest.

The Foreman is down! Let's get out of here The sailors yell as the remaining two sailors jump from the ship in an attempt to get away.

Combat Over

Ennoia takes out a wand and heals herself while the dust clears off. She makes no attempt at stopping those who run for their lives.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Back at full hp, 30 charges left.

If you wanted to save your wand a bit, Ennoia, I haven't used any of my burst healing yet, and I don't mind burning up a couple, or even a few. If so, then:

Alia gathers the divine power of the bright goddess Sarenrae, releasing it in a waves of healing energy.

GM, was the -4 a -4 to max hp or a -4 to 0 hp for Deaglan? I am not sure what his current hitpoints are.Also, how many rounds have passed since the start of combat, enlarge and bless both have a duration of 12 rounds, starting at combat start -2 and -1

Deaglan nods and moves towards the set of stairs, he stows his longhammer and takes out waraxe and shield as these are better suited for close quarter fighting.

Deaglan- Only 4 rounds have passed and that was 4Hp subtracted from your max hp so you should be back to full

On the sailors you find a light hammer on each while on the gnoll you find a set of hide armor, a masterwork handaxe, a masterwork whip, 34 gp and a potion of cure light wounds

I reloaded the map, I must have been looking at an old version. I thought it refreshed automatically.

Dagger Damage: 1d4 + 2 + 2d8 ⇒ (1) + 2 + (2, 3) = 8 2d8 for sneak attack

Allenye claps her hands together as if wiping off something nasty. She looks at what the sailors and their leader have on them, but finds nothing of much interest. She sees that the rest of her companions are heading to the stairs with readied weapons, she follows keeping her daggers at the ready.

As the Party descends the stairs they see, chained the length of the ship, two to a bench, are 50 filth encrusted oar slaves bleeding from lacerations and open sores and slumped in sleep or exhaustion. The benches form a five-foot-wide aisle down the center of the galley, constricting movement in all but three areas: a 10-foot diameter around the main mast, slightly fore of midship, and the extreme ends of the galley which hold rooms.

As the groups eye's adjust a little more they see a hunched and feral, hyena-headed humanoid drinking some sort of a liquid from a vial. Almost immediately the creature begins to grow and contort it's limbs as the creature doubles in size.

WE did say we would see each other again one day fair elf but unfortunately for you this will be your last.

Silently Ruorecht pulls a bomb and sends the acidic vial toward the large creature.

Ennoia steps aside to get a clear sight of both the Captain and Pildapush. (5-ft. step to the SW)

"I am no elf, the blood of the Heavens flows in my veins. Feel the just wrath of the Azata!"

Ennoia then shoots two arrows at the hyena, seeking to stop it before it reaches her companions.

Sing it, sister! Alia thinks, as she springs forward to take a warding position. A few guttural words and a crackle of divine energy arcs from the aasimar's hand to her scimitar.

Alia moves forward (W, W, W) and then casts Divine Favor on her sword, giving it +1 to attack and damage, for one minute.

Deaglan is still enlarged

Deaglan strides forward to the area around the main mast and positions himself to the left of it, awaiting the hyenafaced creature.

Double move to south of the main mast

Ruprecht hurls a bomb at the enlarged gnoll striking the creature in the shoulder. The bomb bursts as flames lick the gnolls fur. The group hear screams as the slaves are suddenly awake. It seems that a half of the firs row on each side of the slaves were injured in the blast as they are lying, chained to the bench, their flesh melted on their bodies. The captain seems momentarily injured by the blast but ultimately shrugs off the pain as he is still standing with his fur smoking.

Ennoia launches two arrows at the hulking beast as one strikes the beast in the leg the other arrow simply strikes the center mast in the room.

Deaglan and Alia move to better positions as Alia blesses her weapon

Pildapush makes his way forward to the mast as he stabs his dagger at Deaglan. Ohhh even better. Aasimar. You would fetch a fair price in the slave market. I may even keep you for my personal collection. How would you like to be a prize in my office? Either way Keep this one alive Captain. The rest you can dispose of Pildapush states as he points towards Ennoia.

The rushes forward as he swings his mighty greataxe at the dwarf's head as he lets out a howl of delight similar to a hyena as his axe strikes deep into the enlarged dwarves body.

Alia rushes forward and brings her scimitar down hard on Pildapush as she slashes a large wound from her blade.

Ruprecht throws his last bomb of the day at the giant gnoll.

The bomb strikes the gnoll once again as fire erupts around him striking the gnoll, Pildapush and also Deaglan as well as a row of slaves as the slaves fall to the bench in a yell of pain. The concussion from the bomb knock the gnoll to a knee on the bench as he stumbles ever so slightly. The rest of the slaves look to the party with fear in their eyes as they cower on the bench.

pildapush reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Pildapush is unable to evade the flames as the flames splash out and strike him also.

Deaglan would have gotten an AoO on Pildapush as he moved to attack Deaglan, a large creature has reach 10'. Not that it matters anymore

Deaglan is glad that the massive greataxe missed him when he suddenly is surrounded by flames from Ruprecht's bomb. Although it hurts he is not distracted and swings his waraxe in a mighty arc towards the gnoll's neck.

Allenye already has her blades at the ready and sprints into the melee. (S,SW,W,W,W,W), rolling under the two sets of large legs to land behind the ugly dog thing.

Round 2:
She lands in place behind the beast dodging the strikes from both Pildapush & the doglike thing. Maybe? She stabs at it with everything she's got.

The stench of the beast in front of her, throws Allenye off target...temporarily.

Deaglan- yes you would have gotten an AoO on pildapush but the rest of the group had already downed him. You can still take it if you like.

-Deaglan I believe that the axe did hit you which would put you at negative 3 HP. Your original AC was 18. when enlarged you get -2 to dex which would put it at 17 and you also get a -1 to AC which would put you at AC 16 for a hit.

Allenye- You only missed the initial round. You were at the bottom of the list for the round so after the mobs went I rolled you in with the rest of the party. Your action is the end of each round. Allenye rushes at the gnoll and rolls under his enlarged legs as she ends up on the other side of the gnoll.

Catain Gnarl swings his Greataxe down on Alia as he is enraged that his employer is on the ground bleeding.

Deaglan's normal AC was 20: 10 + 7 armor +1 dex +2 heavy steel shield. Enlarged that becomes 18 for the adjustment to dex and the size modifier.

Ah ok I just saw 18 on your normal sheet and was going off that, which prol didn't have the shield

That is correct, I try to leave out situational modifiers on the sheet, as it is very easy to forget to adjust that. Sorry for the confusion caused.

Deaglan swings his waraxe again at the hyena like creature. He grins as the axe bites into the chest of their enemy!

As Deaglan swings his axe he strikes again and the giant gnoll falls face first onto a bench, cracking it with his immense weight, trapping a few slaves under his heavy frame.

Combat over

With the gnoll captain's mighty swing, Alia drops to the floor of the hold as if she had been a marionette that had just had her strings cut. A great darkness envelopes her.

Out of that inky void, she hears a voice like a cool scented summer breeze speak to her.

Te iterum videbo, etsi non prope diem, non prope diem.

Ennoia was about to raise her bow once again and unleash the fury of the heavens upon the unholy beast, but she refrains from doing so as the hyena-like creature hits the ground.

Enough... so much blood has been spilled already.

Coming to her senses and trying to see past the adrenaline coursing through her veins, the aasimar remembers their primary mission. "Where is Lady Anilah Salhar? We need to find her fast.

She looks around for the Chelish Lady, hoping it is not too late.

Ennoia does not see Lady Anilah in the crowd of slaves

"Check all over this ship. She must be here!"

Blood continues to flow from Alia's aggregiously wounded body, as she lays unconscious, among the bodies.

Little help? Anyone? Buehler?

Realizing that Alia's in danger again, she uses her wand to bring her back to consciousness.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 31 charges remaining

Then she tries to soothe her companion with a soft brush of the hand upon her wounds, using her holy powers to close it.

Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Whispering gentle words to the woman who almost faced death, she tries to be comforting. "There, there... Falayna heals you, for she has other plans for you than dying in this horrible place. You have yet to bloom, Alia. It's not time for you yet."

As Ennoia tends to Alia, Allenye notices the 2 doors behind her.
"We have some hidey holes over here."

First she checks the door to the port for traps & locks, then if nothing seems out of place, she opens the door.

Detect Trap: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Disable trap (if found): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Pick lock, if locked: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

After a cursory glance at the first room, she heads to the door in the bow of the ship and works her magic, opening the door if all bodes well.

Looking up at Ennoia, Alia realizes that she has rejoined the living.

I want to be Ennoia, when I grow up, she thinks to herself.

Allenye does not notice any traps on the doors and as she unlocks the door to the bow of the ship she sees a woman backed against the far corner of the room. As the woman looks up and notices that it is not the gnoll Captain entering the room she has a sigh of relief as she rushes into your arms. Lady Anilah thanks the PCs graciously: “I owe you all a favor I can never repay.”

After the PCs turn her over to Venture-Captain Alissa Moldreserva, she eyes them up and down, “You handled that well. Guess I had you wrong. The lot of you may prove useful to the Society yet. Get yourselves a drink, on me.”

Feel free to continue the roleplay. I will email out the chronicle sheets tomorrow night. I still need information from Ennoia and Ruprect in the discussion thread to finish reporting this and sending out the Chronicle sheets.

With Lady Anilah's recovery, Ennoia relaxes and is much more friendly than when she was set on her mission. She beams a gentle smile at her team, the women in particular.

"We were worthy of Falayna's trust! Ladies, we all learned something over the course of this mission, be it on the field of battle or in our mind. Let's revel in the teachings of the Warrior's Rings, for she tells us that we shall truly come to bloom as we fight to discover our true nature. Good job everyone!"
