Devic Zaitsev |

Devic heads back to her seat.
I not one much for travel, think is Egypt too hot. She mentions.
We weren't there for long though. Like Ramiel say, I like my little corner. Can I ask you what you do know about us, and what we're doing already? Easier to fill in blanks than entire canvas.

"As I said, I am Skjor, and I am a professional musician. Perhaps you have heard my music before?" Skjor said, raising an eyebrow at the new woman. "And Cairo was interesting, should have a concert there some day."

Jaster Kite |

Silver smiles and leads the group to the dining room they met in that first day. A meal of everyone's favorites, based off of suggestions and trial-and-error.
Glad to hear you enjoy the traveling. Silver said. You'll be doing a lot of traveling in the very near future. She said, seating herself. Brazil, to be precise. She said. And while we have a gateway leading to Rio de Janeiro, you're actually going to have to venture into the Amazon for your mission.
Frida spoke. The Amazon is no stranger to a vast array of monsterous predators. But something else is going on there. Something's corrupting the forest itself.
And naturally. Silver said, filling her plate. Given your growing reputation as a team, you were the first called to investigate.

![]() |

"The Amazon? I have not been there before though I have heard much about it," Skjor said, taking a large bite from his steak and eggs. "I take it we are to find out the cause of this corruption?"

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

The Amazon? cool! I wonder what monsters we'll find. We should be careful though now that i think about it if we end up fighting a fey or something we could end up with problems, I was never too good at resisting mind control.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

Well if we are going to be leaving then i'll be back, gotta get my armor on Ammon dashes away clearly excited, he returns around 8 minutes later still getting his full plate on, his tail assisting in putting it on, his massive blade tied to his back over the shoulder. Eventually fully encased in his suit of metal. So when do we leave? This is gonna be so much fun.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

For most people it would be, but thanks to my demon blood and training, i'll be fine This armor's like a second skin for me by now. Besides back home i worked in a forge, smithing it get's about as hot in their as i expect a jungle too.

Jaster Kite |

Along with a few other unnamed missions, of course.
Of course I'm advertising you guys. Silver said. I've been thinking of having some photography taken of you all under the name Silver's Angels.
Next time I'll send you all to the barren snowcapes of Siberia, Alaska, or wintertime Pennsylvania. Silver said. It'll let you cool off.
Silver smiles at her new recruit. I thought you might feel right at home right there, Amalarra.
Right on the nose, Skjor. Silver said. It's dark magics, that much I know. Unfortunately, it's not just that. It's deep in the rainforest, in the dead center of monster inhabited territory. It will not be an easy trip.
Frida speaks next. The portal will be ready at earliest convenience, whenever it is that you all might need it.

Amalarra Torviir |

Answers looks at her own clothing, some used jeans and a hoodie weren't going to be all that good for a forray into the Amazon. She's have take a run to the store and purchase some far better attire. Lighter clothing and sturdy boots would suffice immensely. Of course, in the more magical part of her mind calling out to her, the thought of just running in to it with her birthday suit and wear what nature provided like some crazy comic book villaness did pop out, only to snuffed by the logical From mindset. Then back again upon remembering some cousin's of hers.
"I'll be back then. Before we go I must by some essentials."

"Oddly enough, my stage outfit would fit in well with that climate," Skjor said with a shrug. Standing up, he added, "Let me go get changed and I shall be ready."
Leaving and coming back several minutes later, Skjor was decked out in one of his stage outfits. Armor decked with studs, heavy combat boots laced up to his knees and covering leather breeches, arms bare up to his shoulders, and his ever faithful companion Aegis strapped onto his back, Skjor was ready to rock the jungle stage.

Amalarra Torviir |

Coming back from a quick change in her car, Amalarra returns wearing more fitting attire. A blue windbreaker that hugged her waist over a plain white T-shirt. Her tennis shoes were now thick rainbow that went over dingy grey khakis. Hair tied in pony tail, a faded red hat with a curly white W rested atop her head. Everything else on her person remained the same, save for a pair of ornamented bracers with the a small symbol on each that seemed to be a sort of Crow holy symbol.
"Well I'm ready to go. I can pitch in possibly for some medical supplies if need be."
A, let's say Knowledge Religion or Local check of maybe a DC 15 to identify the symbol as a one of of the Torviir family and in addition has slight symbolism for Nocticula. As well, I am offering up 50 or if needed 100 for the healing supplies. Amalarra also owns a default car worth 4d25 in scrap. It has the broken condition for anyone whom uses it except her. However, it always has a 15% it will breakdown on her at any given time.

Devic Zaitsev |

Will return my self. While out Devic will pick up:
When she returns she heads directly for the... repurposed room she had been in the process of installing various equipment inside. She gets to work with her workbench, having taken it out of her apartment.
Alchemists lab bonus via expensive bench, and taking ten gives a success on using the Funnel.
Over the course of the next half-hour, Devic creates an acidic, adhesive compound out of a tanglefoot bag/Acid, a buring compound out of tanglefoot/Alchemists fire, and puts acid and fire together just for fun evidently.
Where did you get a price for a car?

Devic Zaitsev |

How much would all of that gear be, Devic?
Hm, now that you mention it... Car price. I'd say 4,000 Creds to start, getting more and more pricey as you get closer to luxury.
Crowdsourced CLW wand: 125
Total: 738. Is there something I've missed? Setting specific price increase/decreases?
Plot convenience. It will likely never mentioned again and was used more as a joke. :)
Hmm. You've given me the idea to make our team a super vehicle. Excellent.
Edit: This post is formatting weird.

Jaster Kite |

Silver looks over the team and leads them to the Clockroom, towards the Brazil gate.
Here it is. The part of the rainforest that's being... Corrupted, is blocked off to civilian travel. You might have some time to wander around, eat some of the local cuisine. She said. I have a guide set to meet you at the entrance.
Another DC15 Fort check against the portal blending your breakfast when you go through.

![]() |

You'd think we'd start building up a tolerance to it by now.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Unfortunately, the heavily humid air, on top of the portal's effects, were more than the mighty Skjor could handle. With barely any notice, he found himself hunched over, emptying yesterday's food from his stomach.
True fact, heavy humidity will actually make me nauseous.

Amalarra Torviir |

Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Amalarra doesn't feel phased much from entering the portal and being deposited far from her original location. She looks around herself, tugging her backpack on her shoulder.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

Ammon seems to be getting used to the portal
fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Devic Zaitsev |

Да, возможно, мы должны сделать' запрос наличии для- *cough*. Maybe we find jet or something next time. Devic remembers to correct herself this time around. When the nausea passes, she'll look for the contact.
Using the actual Cyrillic writing this time, because the normal way screws the pooch here real bad.

Jaster Kite |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I was tempted to give you guys an acquired immunity, but that seems like some season 2-level crap right there :)
Rather than the lobby of a hotel such as Cairo last time, you enter the humid porcelein bathroom of a wealthy-brazillian home, a photo of Silver pointing at you with the text Please make sure to keep all internal contents either in you or the toilet, thank you.
From the bathroom, you enter the beautifully adorned living room. Absent save for a mustachioed buttler looking at you expectantly.
How much do I have to clean? He asked dejectedly.

Devic Zaitsev |

Is possible caused by unstable spacial dilution. Teleportation effects not typically induce vomiting. Ehh, maybe other things. Vant to look at portals before ve go somewhere else with them.
Devic adds Da, we should go if we nothing here. Oh, I need to change first, but bathroom is ehh... dirty.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

All set here, managed to keep it down this time the metal encased demon child says cheerfully

![]() |

Fortunately, Skjor managed to miss his clothes, so he was good to go. "If you would lead the way, we would be most gracious," he told the butler with a solemn nod.

Jaster Kite |

After Abrantes tidies up the bathroom, he emerges, deadpan as ever. Finished. He said. I'll lead you to your guides.
Leaving, locking the doors, and moving on ahead, He leads you down the level of Rio, down into a hole in the ground that looks, initially appearing like a sewage grate, but leading to an undertown of sort. Dwarves, Kobolds, and, most notably due to the smell, Troglodytes, gathered around in the marketplace. Abrantes points towards a stand with a sign that reads, Norris's Expeditions in four different languages. At the head, a tanned dwarf with a curly beard and safari hat sits. He wears a nametag that reads, Norris.
There he is. Abrantes said.

Amalarra Torviir |

Amalarra watches as the group goes from the above ground Cabela's to what can be only assumed as an underground extension. Once they got to their destination, it became a possibility that perhaps this trip to Brazil wasn't going to done in the Amazon but the under dark. She frowned a little, then put on her best smile.

Ammon Knight of Ragathiel |

Ammon stands waiting very anxiously for something exciting to start. his tail swaying back and forth very quickly.

Jaster Kite |

Aye, that's me. Norris said, heavily accented. She pays good. He smiled, nodding. He waved over the rest of the crew. Perikini, Novarra, Jon-Julio, and Steve. He said, pointing to a cigar-chomping Kobold, a dreadlocked elven woman, a hulking human With arms the size of Devic, and a Pech eating a bowl of plantains.
They all wave to greet you, except for Steve, who was picking plantains out of his teeth.
We also have supplies payed for. Norris said. Food, water, Giant Mosquito repellant. He said. Whenever ready, we may go to the Norris-mobile.
Any questions?
