"Where are you going? Cowards! Come back here, we have to fight the horse! Retus, you no run, you hear?!"
Retus approaches the vicious horse and takes a very cautious stab with his dogslicer, trying to stab as far away from the beast while still trying to reach it with his weapon.
Move, attack defensively. -4 Attack, +2 AC. (AC 19)
Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 4 = 10

Retus, if we want a shot here, I could use the flanking bonus for some extra damage.

Reta, I need a Knowledge(nature), and a Climb check, please, before I can process your action. Also, that dog is two stories above you. See the second slide of the map.
Chuffy's swing is a bit too tentative, and misses.
Poog stands, and tries again to climb the ramp, but is again unsuccessful. He doesn't fall flat on his face this time, thought.

It's been 23 hrs, so I'll go ahead and make Reta's rolls ...
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Knowledge(nature); untrained is okay: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
Reta struggles to climb the ramp, falling prone in the mud, as Chuffy did earlier. From her position on the ground, she notices the ball of mud suspended near the top of the ramp is a wasp's nest that might easily fall if the vines are moved by someone climbing.
I'm ruling Poog and Reta are squeezed into the same square at the bottom of the ramp, because the cinematic visual of them fighting each other to be first up both amuses me, and seems very goblin-like. Treat them as squeezing.
Mogmurch fires his crossbow at the horse, trying to ignore the two squabbling goblins at the base of the ramp. His bolt hits with a satisfying noise.
The filthy grey stallion rears its hooves at Chuffy. (Retus, Chuffy: 1d2 ⇒ 2) The little green rogue dodges nimbly out of the way of both attacks.
hoof: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14
hoof: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11
The smaller dog a few floors above you continues to bark and yowl, straining at its leash. The one who broke free, charges down the plank, slipping in the mud, but barely keeping its balance. (single move) The mutt catches a vine on his way down, and the ball of mud begins to roll free.
Dog, climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Reflex, Poog: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Reflex, Reta: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Poog tries desperately to get out of the way, while Reta does the miraculous. She catches the hornet hive before it smashes to the ground. The insects buzz angrily, but are not yet to the point of attacking.
(Poog, Reta: 1d2 ⇒ 1)
The dog, reaching its destination, bites at Poog, missing.

Those were some great rolls.

Retus, Chuffy and Mogmurch their powers combined, fell the horse.
Pog slashes out, his awkward swing further hampered by Reta being in the way.
Reta, still prone from her fall down the ramp, drops the hive on the adjacent dog. Directly in front of her. Then realizes what she just did (and likely swears loudly in goblin). Wasps burst out in every direction (15' radius spread) stinging indiscriminately before dispersing.
Reta, Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Take 1 Dex dmg, and another save next round
Poog, Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Saved
Dog: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 Take 1 Dex dmg, and another save next round
The dog cringes and yelps at the stings. It lashes out at Reta in return, but misses, distracted by the stinging wasps.

Decidedly unhappy about being next to Reta, an angry dog, and a cloud of wasps, Poog waddles out of the mess as fast as his little legs will take him.
"Zarongel, this really isn't going great. Help a goblin out?" Poog says, while wiping off some of the mud.

"Agh! Stoopid Poog." Apparently Reta is happy to blame Poog for her ridiculous actions.
Reta flops in the mud, trying to get the wasps off, then stands up. Seeing the vicious canine to kill, though, makes her grin a little through the pain.

Retus takes a moment to drink the two potions they had found earlier. Bull's strength and bear's endurance.
He immediately begins to grow stronger, his muscles visibly larger. As the others look on in envy, Retus remembers the warnings he had given them previously.
"Oh, right..."
The goblin begins to circle, crying and screaming and dry heaving.
"Wait...what just happen? Me not remember...what we doing here?" He falls to the ground and poops his pants with loud accompanying sound effects.
"These potions bad stuff..." he mourns, though he quickly stands up. "Hurry...we gotta go." he says as runs up the ramp.

@Mogmurch (and others): take a look at slide #2. The level where the dog is above an overhanging room. You can't see it from where you're at, only hear it. It's quite difficult to even get a good angle to lob something up that high, because it overhangs the walkway. Chuffy could only see it because he climbed so high in the tree that he was several stories up.
Unless, of course, you're scurrying around to the stern of the deck (right side of the map), climbing a ladder to move up a level, racing across that upper deck, and then climbing *another* ladder to get where you've positioned your avatar. .. Then that's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.
And I need climb checks from anyone wanting to go up the ramp. You may take 10.
Poog DH

With the aid and the take 10, that would be one check automatically made. Taking 10 isn't good enough for the second, though. This would be my second round of actions since casting Divine Favor.

As he splashes into the mud yet again, Poog mutters, "Zarongel, if you do this to me one more time, I'm gonna go worship Desna."

Take 10 on Climb check, for 18.
Chuffy casually strolls up the gang plank. He seems ill at ease on the deck, though, taking frequent looks at the goblin skulls lining the ship's railing.
"Maybe we have to go into the ship? Fireworks are probably hidden. In the basement, I think! Then maybe dog will shut up as well..."

| GM Crucible |
The goblins successfully, and with a minimum of hijinks, climb the plank. It's a bit easier with the wasp nest out of the way.
I've positioned everyone on the main deck, and re-ordered the slides, as we'll now use the ship map.
The dog you recently killed broke free of the main mast on this level. (right-hand side). The other dog is up a couple of levels.
Where do you head now? I heard a vote for the "basement", which is area #6 on this level. (Oddly, there are no areas "below decks" on this map.) If you wish to go to area #6, please position yourselves outside of that door, and tell me who is opening it.
| Iff's pregen |
Sounds good, Retus.
Chuffy looks at Retus with a wary look. He sort of missed the goblin's earlier antics, drunk on glory from killing the horse. "Why you so pumped? I think I see magic! You drank potion, did you?" He tries to look stern, but his ugly face spoils most of it.

Retus slams open the door.
The air in this cabin is thick and close, stinking of swamp and sweat, with a thick, glistening layer of mud on the floor and swaths of oily fungus clinging to the walls.
No, really. You guys had some lucky behind the scenes rolls to keep her sleeping through all that racket.
On a crude bed by the far wall lays a fiersome looking goblin. The stories, if anything, downplay her ferocity. This is most assuredly Vorka. Her mouth is a bit too wide, even by goblin standards, the front teeth filed to points resulting in a snaggletooth grin that leaves little doubt as to her preference for tough, stringy meat. Like goblin meat. She wears rags and bits of stained cloth—probably trophies harvested almost at random from her hapless victims, over her equally patchwork leather armor. She raises the floppy, pointy leather hat that was covering her face and swears under her breath as she sees you.
Decorations of goblin bone and animal-part fetishes hang from the ceiling on lengths of sinew. A giant frog sits up from what appears to be a nest made of rags, sticks, mud, and cast-off bits of clothing lies against the westernmost wall.
Scattered amid the filth and clutter are several exotic-looking man-made objects—including a tantalizing red chest.
