After coming out of the water, Shayla urges Akeyra to back up a bit so Cogstadt can approach the door.
While Cogstadt inspects the door, Shayla takes her wand of cure light wounds.

CLW, Akeyra: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
CLW, Self: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
"Anyone else requires some healing?" Shayla asks, and notices Archibald probably does.
With a sigh she moves over to the human, and taps the wand against his wounds.
Because he helped me with that spell of his...
CLW, Stinky and hairy human: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW, Stinky and hairy human: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
With everyone back to full health, Shayla attaches her wand to her belt again. Shayla then takes her bow, hopefully ready for whatever is revealed to be behind the door.

While waiting, Kalaron decides to inspect the other door.
Clandelve Hammerhand

"Aye, if th' door proves too difficult, le's bypass it an' try another way," Clandelve says.
Sounds like his take 20 won't get through, in which case I'm not sure what other options we have. I'll also try take 20 on bashing it down for a 23...sounds like that may not work, either. Heinrich could get a 24 on bash, with an aid from me for 26.

Well it's not really worth it to spend too much time on a door so...- even though you could just have gone looking for the key ;)
With some effort (nice name for a crowbar) you are able to force the door open.
This room is full of massive rusty cogs and enormous, toothed clockwork wheels that move in rhythmic, clanking "ticks" like a gigantic clock. The huge mechanism is powered by water streaming down into the buckets of a mill wheel. It pours from a chute near the ceiling in the northwest corner of the room. The wheel turns an axle along which most of the cogs turn. These cogs then turn other, smaller cogs and cams that seem to mark out time. At intervals, they trigger rods that direct water into channels in the floor, which run in various directions out from under the room through narrow gratings in the floors.
The groaning, squeaking din of this mechanism is deafening and constant, and a fishy carrion reek emanates from the water. The axle with all the cogs turns in two huge sockets, above a dark pool of water. Only the two largest cogs are big enough to be reach down into the water. A series of stone catwalks spans the room thirty feet above the churning waterways.

Just to clarify, the glowing this isn't the moving thing Shayla saw..I'll assume that Shayla meant to shoot the moving thing
As Shalya shoots an arrow down into the water it just barely manages to hit the moving thing and doesn't seem to do a lot of damage to it (DR), it does attracted it's attention though and it's starting to surface
As it reaches the top of the water you can see it

I didn't read the second spoiler, in which I assume the moving thing was mentioned. I did see the glowing thing, which is what I aimed for.

Archibald moves closer (I assume) and attacks the blob at range It's immune to crit hits, but that doesn't matter much right now since you missed the confirm anyways
hitting it with a wet *thud*
Cogstadt moves closer and fires his crossbow at the thing..hitting it with a bolt..but it just harmlessly sinks into it's mass (doesn't get through it's DR)
Kalaron moves closer but finds out he's too high up on the walkway to be able to swing his axe down to hit the gibbering mouther but looking down on it and seeing a pudding with eyes and teeth everywhere he does remember that being enveloped by the creature would be bad Something similar to swallow whole that does automatic damage and drains away some con and that it can't be flanked
@Shalya ..ah..that would have had the same reaction..just would have done 1 damage less, so minor difference
Shalya sends 2 more arrows into the glob which do seem to tear some of it's substance away which then drifts away on top of the water while Akerya moves down to get within striking distance (3-D movement get's a bit weird, but I think you can climb down one of the walls..but remember those move gears I mentioned?)
But as Akerya starts to move down a few of the cogs start to get dangerously close
To hit hit Akerya's AC: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
but the snake is able to bend with it's movement without getting cut to badly
The cogs and gears keep turning and come around for another pass
(basically if your not on the walkway or the ground/in the water, you get an attack against you)
Since I think that if Heinrich and Clandelve will do anything this round it will most likely be to move and I might not have access to a computer till later tomorrow I'll update the globs turns now
The gibbering mouther continues to gibber
Everyone (I think this includes the snake, unless for some reason it's immune to mind-effects) DC 13 Will save or be confused for 1 round. This is a mind-affecting compulsion insanity effect
It then exudes another stream of acid at Shayla (doesn't provoke)

And then it tries to bite into the big snake with multiple of it's mouths

@Shalya; as far as I can tell it doesn't provoke seeing how it's an SU it isn't listed as a ranged attack..I could be wrong here..but I see it more as a pustule filled with some sort of acid bursting open out of the creatures skin then an actual attack which leave it open to a counter attack

@Kalaron's question I took a look at the gibbering again..if you managed to save against it you are immune to it's effects for the next 24 hours.. I think that some of you managed to save before and rolled against it later. Sorry about that...I'll shift the attack from Shayla's confusion to the gibbering mouther and let it hit to compensate a bit
Your combined attacks are enough to bring down the gibbering mouther and it sinks to the bottom of the pool..oozing little bits of gunk all through the water.
As you investigate the source of the glow in the water (by going down the walkway and climbing down the ladder...avoiding the swirling gears and cogs) you find out that it's caused by a long sword (which when you cast detect magic on it..turns out to be magical).
