As you look around the room you see that the altars still contain their silver altar services,
As well as two silver holy symbols of Nethys (one on each altar).
In addition, a divine scroll rests atop each altar one on the black altar, and another scroll on the white altar.

"Perhaps best not to linger around here much longer. We need to keep moving." Pointing at Daniloth, Mosi, and 'Jiro, "Check the doors leading from this room for anything of note and then we will decide our next course of action."
This tower has already crumbled once prior to us coming in here, and I wouldn't want to be around in the event it decides to start coming down again.

That is golden. Sorry I set it up 'Jiro, assuming a door was there like previous floors of the tower
"Vohnkar it appears you're right. I guess our friend's senses failed him a little in this regard. I believe that leaves us the only option of going up the stairs further."
Markas approaches the staircase, "Daniloth reported a door up one level from us now, I say we head there next," as Markas begins climbing the stairs.
Looking at Daniloth, "You said you didn't see or hear anything here so when we are ready I will open it. Vohnkar its probably best you and I enter first."

After taking everything that was on the altars the party finds out there are no doors in this room and follow Markas up to the next floor.
Having arrived there you open the door to see;
Crude bunks line the walls of this room, which is filled with the nauseating stench of troglodytes.
There are 3 troglodytes in this room who get up from their beds when they notice you opening the door and they get their weapons out and ready to use.

Hoping to the spell takes hold, Fronar tries a comedic insult to see! "Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"
School enchantment (compulsion) [mind-affecting]; Level bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (tiny fruit tarts and a feather)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one creature; see text
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
This spell afflicts the subject with uncontrollable laughter. It collapses into gales of manic laughter, falling prone. The subject can take no actions while laughing, but is not considered helpless. After the spell ends, it can act normally. On the creature's next turn, it may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect. This is a full round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If this save is successful, the effect ends. If not, the creature continues laughing for the entire duration.
A creature with an Intelligence score of 2 or lower is not affected. A creature whose type is different from the caster's receives a +4 bonus on its saving throw, because humor doesn't “translate” well.
dc: 11 will save to negate

Since it doesn't really matter at this point and because the action sounds sorta cool..rollin' with it
As Markas hit's the creature on the side of it's head Vohnkar waves his sword in front of the trogs eyes, distracting it from what is to come.
Mosi uses this opportunity to stick his sword two handed through the trog's chin from below. Mosi's blade emerges from the top of the trog's skull.
At the same time Danoloth jumps on top of one of the beds, hitting the headboard and tipping it over as he continues his move and manages to shoot an arrow right past everyone into the door post next to where the troglodyte's head used to be,..right before it started to slump to the floor and Daniloth hit's the floor as the bed topples over behind him.

The 3 "little" trogs carried a club each. The big one has a club, a javelin strapped to it's back and a key hanging from a piece of string tied around it's neck.
Not much else can be found in this room (other then some blankets and pillows).

Looking through the open door into the room that the big one stepped out of you see;
A brazier of glowing coals sits in the center of this room, its acrid smoke mixing with the ever-present troglodyte stench.
A few knives, pokers, and other metal implements lie atop a rusty iron box nearby.
There's a closed door in the NE corner.

Pulling his sword out of the head of the troglodyte, he wipes the blood of by using the little bit of clothes the troglodyte is wearing. He picks up the shield he dropped and steps into the other room.

"We definitely should take this key," Markas says while removing it from around the trog's neck. As Markas puts the key in his belt pouch, he states "It might only unlock the door we already busted down, but perhaps it has a different use."

The box doesn't seem to be trapped, or locked.

As Seijiro opens the rusty iron chest you find out it containts :
a suit of masterwork studded leather armor, a masterwork buckler, a masterwork rapier, a shortbow with 15 arrows, two scrolls, a wayfinder (a sort of magical compass that shines with light on command and grants a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost), and a climber’s kit.

![]() |

Seijiro looks with some surprise at all the items in the box, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the rapier. He takes it and tests its balance before looking at the others. "Anyone mind if I use this?"
IF there are no objections, he straps his old rapier to the side of his pack and slips the new one onto his belt/sash.
He also examines the wayfinder with curiosity. New to the Society, he's seen them before but never handled one, so he plays with it a moment, making it shed light with a grin on his face. He holds it up then and asks, "Who wants this little gem?"

![]() |

"Fronar are you able to determine if the scrolls have anything magical to them?" Markas says upon seeing the contents of the chest.
Looking at 'Jiro, "You can have the rapier as I prefer something with a little more weight to it. The rest of the items should either be used by someone now or we should gather to take with us when we leave the tower."
Markas gathers any unclaimed items and stores them in his backpack. He then looks to 'Jiro, Mosi, and Daniloth. "One of you check the door for traps and for any signs of anything waiting for us on the other side. Once we know it's clear I will lead us into the next room. Vohnkar care to join me up front? Wouldn't want our nimble and less armored allies to be met by an enemy weapon when the door opens."
Moving across the room towards the NE door, Markas positions himself to open the door after being given the go ahead from one of the other party members.

Fronar unrolls the scroll and recites it's contents. Upon finishing the last word, the scroll glows red as if it's on fire and disitigrates into ashes that flicker for a moment, then disappear as the begin to fall to the ground.
