"A full Efreeti? Well, that makes some sense... how she could grant a wish and everything. I am sure that the potion of fire resistance will come in most handy. Thank you. We will most grateful for any assistance you render!"
Will have to check back on the previous posts, but I think we've exhausted our leads?

"Are you familiar with the giant Valsog? We have just come from there, and he too has agreed to defy Tygora. You should join him, and your people to stand against her. He could also use a friend, and I'm sure the two of you could combine your talents in interesting ways, both now against the queen, but also in the future. Armor that made your own warriors resistant to the flames might just be what you earthfollk need to help bring our wayward children back to you."

"Agreed Yanos. I believe you two would make wonderful friends"

GM Farmagnuðr |

Valsog? Ah you mean the giant! I heard of him, but since i spend most time in my shop, never saw him. You know,... The alchemist goes on about a formula that would allow him to craft an unusual strong potion that would function like a fire shield spell. You don´t understand any of it though and it soon becomes more boring that Miltons talk about laws and Asmodeus.
While you stand there talking, you hear uproar in the city around you. just on the next crossroad, you can see mobs of oreads assemble, who seemingly sweep through Crystalcrag, driving their ifriit together and disarming them. It seems the uprise has begun and it might be time to finaly proceed to Fury´s Hold, Tygoras palace.
If all are ok i move you there.

Now I feel like an ambulance chaser!
You aren't? Oh, wait... I assume the ambulances usually come after you've been somewhere. ;)

![]() |

Sounds good. Im going to go ahead and drink one of those fire resistance potions just as we reach her castle.
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

Sounds like we only have one. I don't have a problem with Yanos using it, just making sure we know we only have one. GM, if I am wrong, please correct me! I read that we got 1 fire resistance, and 4 CMW

![]() |

Lowest HP front-liner who doesn't have any fire resistence?

While we are heading over to the fight, Natalia will heal herself with her wand. (were we doing shared charges? I cannot recall)
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Takes 2 charges for her to be at full.

![]() |

Some PbP games I have been in will keep track of charges used for CLW wands... and then divvy them out at the end of the game. Technically not RAW, but it wouldn't take much effort, in game, to make it happen.

GM Farmagnuðr |

I heard in some games people actualy use the discussion thread for discussion ;)
You walk through the city towards the massive, fortified palace that was created when Tygora granted and twisted the oreads’ wish, called Fury’s Hold. The structure combines thick walls made of solid bronze juxtaposed with delicate, sweeping features that seem to defy gravity. The palace extends into the mountain to the east and west. Everywhere in the streets you can see scenes of tumult, oreads overwhelming and disarming their ifriit children. They make clear there is no help needed in this family business.
You continue the 500-foot road extending up from Crystalcrag to Fury’s Hold, giving the structure a commanding view of the whole town. The curtain wall around the palace’s courtyard is 20 feet high and sealed with an immense, barred bronze doors. The doors are closed, you can see that from 100 foot distance, where you are now. How will you continue?

![]() |

Keeping walking forward, I'll go ahead and call on a holy ward against evil's touch Magic Circle vs Evil, and as we get closer"Well, all else fails, I can jump it and let you guys in from the other side?"
Do we see any opposition? Guards? Another army? <Been there, done that, now I'm a word-famous General.> Honestly my plan is to jut go right up and knock, possibly aggressively.

"Yanos let us go together. I will provide you cover if need be."

"Very well, I will walk this path."
Without any attempt to hide his actions, or his destination, Milton sets off with a purpose towards the bronze doors.
Should he spy any defenders within the keep, he will yell out to them declaring his sole purpose is to retrieve the Pathfinders.

Map.
Fire Elemental 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Fire Elemental 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Ash: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Hagrym: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Natalia: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Milton: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Xiaobo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Fire Yanos: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Sorted initiative: Yanos; Fire Elemental 1; Fire Elemental 2; Natalia; Milton; Hagrym; Ash; Xiaobo.
Indeed the way seemed much shorter before than it is now. Just as Milton makes several steps striding forward, only about 60 feet away from the palace door, two large roaring flames shoot out from the ground. Growing larger with astonishing speed, the flames transform into vaguely humanoid shapes, you can make out hands, arms and faces.
One of them extends his arm, motioning you to stop:
A mob of upset oreads gathered behind you, looking angrily at the elementals.

Kn:Planes: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Lady Natalia yells out, (in Infernal if combat has started), "They are fire elementals! They burn as well as hit. It does not seem we are greeted in peace."

![]() |

I don't seem to be on the map, though oddly my Thor character is.
Looking at the masses gathering behind him, "Stand back. Let us make the way clear!"
Know Planes: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Assuming that my Second Comprehend Languages is still up (total of 3 hours)
"It is you who should not be here. Return to your natural realms, or I'll send you there."
Standard Action to cast BLESSING OF FERVOR!!!
Move Action to Move 3 squares in front of Milton, drawing my spear.
Free Action Enlarge Person for 1 Round.
I've got Magic Circle vs Evil up, and Im going with +2 Attack, AC, and Refl.
•Increase its speed by 30 feet.
•Stand up as a swift action without provoking an attack of opportunity.
•Make one extra attack as part of a full attack action, using its highest base attack bonus.
•Gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves.
•Cast a single spell of 2nd level or lower as if it were an enlarged, extended, silent, or still spell.

GM Farmagnuðr |

Map.
The elementals look quite aggressive and will probably attack if you don´t turn around and leave. Combat would start then in initiative order.

![]() |

Hagrym moves 10' to the right, then ten feet to the north, as he pulls his greatsword. As he does so, he calls out to Gorum, asking for his blessings as he prepared for battle.
Cast Divine Favor. Hagrym will take the attack and AC bonus from the Blessing of Fervor. Current AC is 20.

GM Farmagnuðr |

The fire elementals advance into a flanking position around the enlarged Yanos and attack him, slamming fiery fists after him.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 151d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3On hit DC 16 reflex save orBurn : 1d8 ⇒ 1 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.
Attack 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 131d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10On hit DC 16 reflex save orBurn : 1d8 ⇒ 1 for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds.
AoO on Hagrym: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 321d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4On hit DC 16 reflex save orBurn : 1d8 ⇒ 6 for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.
Crit: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 281d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
They fail to hit him, but Hagrym gets a fist on the nose.
Map.
Moved Hagrym on the map and Yanos. Feel free to do that yourself^^ Also no problem with posting out of initiative, post your intentions and alternatives.

Milton will 5' step up and left and Attack the left side elemental
As a Swift Action he will make his Mace Bane to Elemental Outsiders
I'll take the extra Attack from the spell
Power Attack Two Handed
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 2 - 2 = 28
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 6 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 6 + 2 + (5, 4) = 29
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 2 - 2 = 26
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 6 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 6 + 2 + (3, 3) = 25
Shame neither of those critted.

![]() |

I assume the AoO is a mistake and you meant that was the elemental's regular Attack, as I would have been outside a large creature's range after my previous movement.
Slightly singed, the dwarf continues ahead with his Attack plans, using a swift action to initiate his Destruction judgment. Hagrym takes a five foot step forward before the swing.
Attack with Divine Favor 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 9 + 1 = 21
Damage with Divine Favor and Destruction Judgment 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6) + 1 + 1 = 13

![]() |

Assuming that they only have 10ft Reach, (I have 15ft with Longspear). . .
AoO vs Elemental 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 5) + 5 = 11
AoO vs Elemental 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 1) + 5 = 12

![]() |

i do not have a computer so i will need someone to do my movements for me.
Xiaobo will take the +2 atk and ac
Xiaobo will move diagonal left and up and then 1 more square up to the elemental on left of yanos taking AOO.
Fighting defensively he will trip the elemental and spend a ki point to move it to fit inbetween milton and natalia and yanos.
trip: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22
atk1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
dmg: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 2) + (4) = 8
atk2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
dmg2: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 1) + (5) = 11
27

Reflex save forgotten from last post 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6
Also, since I'm a doofus I forgot to add the +2 from Blessing of Fervor to my attack roll. That makes it a 23 to hit. My bad. AC 20.

Natalia giggles a little when she contemplates her next move. She decides that it might be sort of fun to see the Fire elementals attacking each other, so uses the blessing of fervor to cast an Extended Murderous Command (DC 16 Will save) on the elemental nearest her.
She then moves 5' to the NE to stand next to Milton (I am on an iPad right now), and draws her nodachi. She contemplates casting Enlarge Person, but thinks the casting time is prohibitive.
