Natalia Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

![]() |

That's it. Her next revelation will allow her to roll twice for initiative! Damned annoying Chelaxians.

![]() |

My intention is to scare them a bit, and call on the Water Elementals to keep the fires from blowing the place up. Im not attacking per se, but I also can not control them as I dont speak Aquan.

GM Farmagnuðr |

Ini ifriit 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Ini ifriit 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Ifriit 1: shaken 1 round.
Surprise round
Ash casts a spell on Natalia, before Hagrym and Natalia move into melee range, while Yanos begins to chant a conjuration of some sort and Milton goes on lawyering, this time setting a harsher tone, pointing at the ifriit who started the fire. She seems a bit shaken by his tone. Meanwhile Xiaobo uses the chance to kick the feet under the other one away, who falls down.
Due to the surprise round you get, not all actions take place right now.
Map.

![]() |

If I get a Surprise Round, I'll use my Standard Action from then to begin casting, (and 5ft step), then in Round one, I'll use my Move Action to finish casting. Not really taking an action in Round 1 as I like to RP that I never attack first, and I don't actually want to kill/harm anyone, it was a bluff ("leave one alive"). I'll summon the water elementals on/near the flames, but again, I cant actually control them, so what they do is up to you.
"You can see you are outnumbered here, yes, and that you started to pick on the wrong man? That man has powerful friends. Just give up and you will live through this. Take a look at yourselves. Is this really they kind of person you want to be? Nothing more than slaves. Is that the sort of "queen" you want to serve, one that murders whoever doesn't agree with her?"

![]() |

Milton may be many things, but he is a man of his words.
If when his initiative comes up either of the Ifrit are still in the fight and not surrendered, he will charge and power attack that one.
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 2 + 2 = 16
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 4 = 16
However, if they have both surrendered, or are down and out when his turn comes, he will toss out a couple pairs of manacles to be placed on them.

![]() |

@ GM the ifrit who is down should tke the attacks unless there is a reason y i cant make AOOs. Any person i trip provokes 2 AOOs and i can trip 2 a turn.
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

If Natalia has not cast her Create Water, she will do that, taking a 5' step back to be clear of AOOs.
If she has cast Create Water, she will 5' step back, and cast Divine Favor.

GM Farmagnuðr |

@Yanos: ok
@Xiaobo: right, but only 1 AoO from greater trip. You may roll that attack again in round 1 now.
@Ash, fire is marked on the map.
@Natiala can only cast create water in the first round.
Everyone casting create water, please tell me on which square. The squares on fire are the orange marked ones on the map. You can count letters down and numbers from left to right to nominate a square. A1 would be the first square to the left in the top row.
Initiative: Ash 21; Yanos 18; Ifriit 1: 15; Xiaobo:14; Milton 13; Ifriit 2: 10; Hagrym 9; Natalia 4
For ease of play i´m now asuming squares for Ash and Natalia, E9 and F9.
Ash sings magic incantations and water pours down somewhere, barely extinguishing the flames in a part. Natalia does the same just besides.
Yanos finishs his spell and a water elemental appears. One or more? How big? It immediately extinguishes the fire next to it.
Milton charges in to attack the scared ifriit but misses.
The tripped ifriit stands up (another AoO from Xiaobo and Hagrym and the water elemental, Yanos your call.), then unleashes a cone of flame unto Hagrym, Natalia, Ash and Milton.
Meanwhile, unfortunately the fire spreads.
The second ifriit tries to kick Miltons feet away after concentrating on him for a second, then kicks after him another time.
Ifriit 1 concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Burning hands: 5d4 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 2, 4) = 16 Ref DC 11 half.
ifriit 2 trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
ifriit 2 : 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 4 = 111d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Hagrym and all AoO´s, then round 2
Map.

Assuming I have interpreted correctly, I need to do a reflex save on the burning hands.
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Which I cleverly fail. However instead of 16 damage, I take 11 due to fire resistance.
Then it appears I was tripped with a 26 against my CMB? Does he have improved trip, or do I get an AOO?
And then the attack on me while I am on the ground misses, so no damage there.
My status is down 11HP and prone, and I'm possibly owed an AOO against Ifrit 2 if he doesn't have Improved Trip.
Also, if anyone has Combat Reflexes, they could take another AOO on Ifrit 1 when he did his burning hands, right?

![]() |

Reflex 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 5 = 19
The dwarf avoids a good chunk of the fire as he moves forward and swings his great sword at the closest ifrit.
Attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Damage 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12

![]() |

Natalia's save
reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
She takes all 16, leaving her at 35hp.

![]() |

Ash tries to dodge out of the way of the sheet of flame
Reflex save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Used to being around fire Ash manages to dodge most of the fire (16/2=8-5 for fire resistance = 3 damage taken)
Ash then takes a step back and creates more water to put out some of the remaining fire

![]() |

Milton takes his AOO against the one that tripped him:
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 - 2 = 28
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 4 = 17
Crit confirm:
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 2 = 13
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 4 = 19

xiaobo will use flurry of manuevers to trip the ifrit using greater trip for AOO1, viscous stomp for AOO2, and ki throw to move him away from everyone else. i will use a swift action to add my wisdom to first trip.
Trip: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31
AOO1: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
DMG: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 4) + (6) = 13
AOO2: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 31
DMG: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6, 4) + (5) = 15
after xiaobo uses ki throw to move the ifrit he uses his second attack in his flurry to grapple the downed ifrit.
Grapple: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35

GM Farmagnuðr |

Some dodge the fire, some don´t, all get scorched a bit.
Yanos summons three small water elementals that quench most of the fire, Ash does the rest with his conjured water.
Meanwhile Milton deals out a strong hit with his club, letting his victim see some stars floating around it´s head.
Xiaobo shows his kung-fu mastery, boxing, kicking and throwing around the ifriit, so he nearly doesn´t know anymore where he is and then grapples him.
Hagrym also swings his sword with efficiency causing a great cut.
The ifriit look puzzled and angry at the same time. How can it be such vermin like you harm them?
Ifriit 1: 28
ifriit 2: 29
Ifriit 1: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 11 - 2 = 231d6 ⇒ 21d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Ifriit 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 201d6 ⇒ 11d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Both ifriiti gather their force for a hard strike, one striking at Yiobo not caring for the grapple, the other at Hagrym, buying himself some room.
Both a fort save DC 17 please or unconscious for Xiaobo:2, hagrym 1 round. YOu get a new save each round.
Round 3

![]() |

Round 3? We wre completing the round 1 AOO's right? I never got a round 2 action?
In round 2, I'd stand (provoking most likely) and swing at the one adjacent to me that I hurt with the AOO.
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 - 2 = 22
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 4 = 13
And then if you want my round 3 Attack, it's the same, assuming my guy is still up, or against the other if mine is down.
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Hit: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 - 2 = 10
+1 Cold Iron Heavy Mace Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 4 = 15

Yanos grabs his spear as he steps up, suddenly growing into a giant, and jut readies to attack either of the Ifrits that continue to act aggressively, but at the last moment, flips his spear around to hit with the haft (Non-Lethal).
I did not add in any Cover bonuses, if they are Prone, or any other modifiers, just the -4 for nonlethal.
Free Action: Enlarge Person for 1 Round
No Action: 5ft Step
Standard: Ready Action (to attack if one of them continues to attack us)
No Action: possibly 2 Attacks of Opportunity
Special: 3 Water Elementals act as you wish
Readied Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Non-lethal Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 3) + 5 = 13

Non-lethal Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3) + 5 = 11

power Attack w/ furious focus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 for: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Natalia gives Milton a look of non-understanding. She thinks, 'The Chelaxian forgets the blessings that Aroden has granted me. Oh, well, we'll save them if we can.'

![]() |

Natalia replies to Milton in Infernal.

GM Farmagnuðr |

Hagrym makes a fortitude save please.
Xiaobo your info says AC 23?
Seing Yanos grow large and your combined efforts to subdue them, the ifriiti surrender.
Allright, you´ve won! You just have the bigger numbers! Listen, we just did our job here. We have to do what Tygora says! Just let us go!
You notice a crowd of oreads standing nearby and watching the scene.
On their marbled faces seems to be an expression of relieve. You think you can hear things like: Thank the gods they didn´t kill them!...After all, they´re still our kids...
The fire is out, only few signs of it remain thanks to your water affinity.

![]() |

Once she understands that the fight is over, Lady Natalia will use Create Water to help finish dousing the flames.

![]() |

"Hear up you two," he points at the ifrits, "I promised you a trial, sentencing and punishment, didn't i? As surely as I promised you a whooping I did. We delivered on the whooping, and we shall yet deliver on the trial. Here's the deal though, right now I am inclined to delay your trial, pending some demonstrations of your penitence, and general lack of a plan to continue in your old ways. You see, prison or death will rarely make a man better, although they both certainly make him less of a nuisance. Well you've been a nuisance, so let's see how well you can make amends. Are either of you interested in taking advantage of my leniency?"

Looking back at Nat, "That is why I refrained. They are not our enemy, but children turned on their parents and families."
Turning to the crowd, "Take them, and make them safe. We will deal with the queen."
Then, once everything is calmed down a but, Ill go to the alchemist, "Are your wounds bad? I can help. And this is for you. Recompense for what was destroyed. " handing over 100gp.
"We came to you seeking your aid. Against the queen. What can you tell us? Care to join us?"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you cannot be simply releasing my prisoners. These two may have crimes to pay a penitence on. We shall determine a temporary solution, seeking a permanent one.". He looks again at the Ifrit, "Well, what say you? Don't make me unleash the Taldane on you," and he points to Natalia.

![]() |

Natalia, finally able to understand the Chelaxian speaking in Taldane, decides to play up what he is trying to do. She figures that it would be easier than fighting, or trying to talk the stubborn solicitor off of his bone.
She moves up, menacing, dull grey nodachi at the ready. "I would do as he says, children. I have not had a good day, and my blade hungers. Disobey, and may Aroden have mercy on your souls."

While the two miscreants are decising their course of action, Milton will pull out a wand of CLW and zap himself a few times.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

I was posting the same time you where, but personally, I don't think it would be very smart to look like we are enslaving their children in front of them, and I'm not sure we can trust them enough to help us out at this point, and we probably don't want to be playing guard duty to the kids, hence why I was saying release them to their people.

![]() |

i am actually in agreement with you, Yanos. But I was going along with Milton because he was being... Milton. I would say we leave them in the custody of their parents, and move on. We really need a GM post

GM Farmagnuðr |

The two ifriit swallow hard. Obviously their defeat puts them into a difficult position. They look around with pride in their eyes, but also seem tamed. They stutter and don´t really know what to say.
I...we...you are strong, still you belong to inferior races and only had the stronger numbers! Tygora will have you hanged for this!
The oread close in.
We will take care of those two, don´t worry!
Several of them surround the ifriit and carry them away into some nearby buildings.
The owner of the shop aproaches you:
Thank you so much! You saved my shop! If that fire had spread, surely it would have exploded! You know, with her army growing, Tygora demanded
that all business owners in Crystalcrag contribute a fraction of their revenues and inventories to help arm the soldiers. Most businesses accepted this mandate, but i chose to protest this mandate by withholding my contribution. The ifrits recently were here to bully me already, but i didn´t give in and my defiance has begun to inspire others to rebel. Guess that´s why they came back to cause more trouble. Who are you and what are you doing here?

![]() |

Milton turns to Natalia,

![]() |

Natalia responds in kind.
To the shop owner, Sir, we are friends from the world outside of your city, the world that your tyrant, Tygora, is planning on attacking. We mean you no harm... quite the contrary, and our Pathfinder Society is very much interested in learning about your city, and its history.
"We understand that your society has been usurped by this tyrant, and that many are rising up in revolution against her. As it happens, she appears to be our enemy as well, for she has in her custody a number of our fellow agents of the Pathfinder Society, who we seek to free. If you have any information on their whereabouts, we would appreciate learning what you know.
"Failing that, perhaps any information you know of the tyrant and her operatives would be of great assistance, for it seems we have a very difficult task ahead of us."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21

GM Farmagnuðr |

Oh is that so? In that case, i´m not only thankfull, but i will support you! Here, take these! He hands you a potion of resist
fire and four potions of cure moderate wounds.
I guess you will have need of them before they day is over. Wish i could do more, but my resources are very limited at the moment.
He looks around in the scorched mess his shop has become.
As you have surely heard, Tygora is an efreeti, coming from the plane of fire, probably the city of Brass, and she loves herself some fire. I´ll come to your help and some others here surely too. It´s good you didn´t kill them, they are only children.
