Gaius Pellandir

"Alright, time for some fireworks." he whispers to himself. He gestures to the others to get ready to breach the room. As he turns the corner his eyes start to glow with soft yellow light, he raises his hands with well-practiced speed. Aiming at the two men in the room, streams of prismatic, multi-colored light issues forth from his fingertips. Like a dazzlingly bright rainbow they cascade over the room at large.

"Little cramped in here!" Lucian yells as he breaches into the room, attacking the nearest enemy with his Scimitar.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 121d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Assuming the enemies aren't unconscious, though there very well might be. If they are I'll just move to that spot.
Lucian, Dervish of the Dawn

"Ah a trap door, who wants to descend first?" Lucian says, peering down the hole in front of him.
Can I see anything down the hole of the trap door?
Amaranti
|
With all excitement over before it really begun, Amaranti retrieves his lance from where he dropped it. Then he joins Lucien at the trapdoor.
"We can go first", he says, trying to peer down the hole.

Looks like we lost some posts due to the website going down. The GM posted today about there being nothing to worry about in the room through the trap door, so that's where we are at this point.
Jorus Skyecliff
|
Looking at the two easily dispatched guards and smirks to Gaius, "Good Job, now lets take a look at this trap door." He moves over to the trapdoor and examines it for any traps or foul play.

Gaius Pellandir

"Thanks! I'll let you check for any booby traps however. That ain't rightly my school of knowledge so to speak." Gaius says to Jorus.
| GM Beman |
Yep…it does indeed appear as though a handful of posts have fallen into the nether.
A2: Vault Entrance
This small, stuffy square room was cut from the building’s stone foundation. The room’s east wall features a large stone mosaic of stone that shows several faceless people worshipping at the top, and others being condemned at the bottom, with no figures in the middle pattern. The mosaic contains a set of three identical circular indentations: one set within the top section, one in the empty center, and another set within the bottom section. Illuminating the room are two lit torches in sconces on the north and south walls. Three circular stone disks stacked neatly against the east wall by the door. The stones represent a happy looking female child, a grandiose city, and a brooding devil.
Someone, I forget who, did post the correct answer to the puzzle. From top to bottom the correct sequence is child, city, devil.
| GM Beman |
A3: Vault Storage
This room is split by a long, ten-foot-wide stone walkway, extending sixty feet east to west between two spiral staircases. Two ladders rest on the north side of the walkway and two more on the south, leading down into a fifteen-foot-wide trench twenty feet below. These sub-rooms are filled with objects ranging from decrepit suits of rusted armor, to piles of rotting furs, and to various over-stuffed footlockers. Two creatures stand in the center of the walkway looking stoically at you.
Placement on the map is random…feel free to rearrange yourselves.
Amaranti
|
Seeing the creatures ahead, Amaranti tightens his grip on his lance. "What are these creatures?", he whispers.
Jorus Skyecliff
|
"Hmmm, I think they might be..." Gripping his Chakram tight he leans his head towards the two figures and studies them.

Jorus Skyecliff

"You are correct Lucian they are known as Lemures and hides are thick to weapons not made of silver or good aligned. Be mindful of there claws." Jorus informs the group as he raises up his Chakram.
Gaius Pellandir
|
Gaius draws his crossbow and aims over Amaranti's shoulder. "I don't think I'll bother with the flashy lights for this pair. Not rightly sure they have faces or eyes for me to dazzle anyway." Gaius says, firing his bolt at the hideous mass on the right.

Guess I'll have to use magic on them. Spell resistance is different, right? (I'm pretty new, sorry)
Seeing his crossbow bolt do very little actual damage, Gaius raises his left hand. His eyes glow a soft amethyst this time and arcane energy blazes forth from his fingertips.
"I don't suppose you are able to bless weapons with your God's righteousness Lucian? These things seem to shrug off the mundane."
Cast Magic Missile at the right Lemure

With hefty flick of his arm Jorus's chakram is sent spinning to Lemure on the right. The Chakram scraps at the creatures thick skin doing minimal damage.

Amaranti aims at the rightmost Lemure, but unfortunately the lance fails to connect.

Balak Stone
|
Yes, I posted the correct answer to the puzzle but the boards ate my post somehow.
Balak nods and says "Right." grimly. "Get ready to heal me." He advances towards the creatures and slaps his palms against his shoulders before drawing his sword and laying out a heavy slash against the one Gaius' magic attack struck, but his swing isn't on target.
Current AC 19. Temple Sword vs. wounded creature. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
| GM Beman |
For ease of combat order I'm going to have Lemure #1 delay until after Phaertes acts; I'll take their actions now however in the interest of time.
Both Lemures claw at Balak but only one is able to penetrate his defenses for some pretty meager damage.
Claw 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

A4: The Long Hallway
This long hallway stretches sixty feet east to west between two spiral staircases. The walls of this hall contain deep notches and cuts at five-foot intervals, and a lever lies in the down position beside the western staircase. Skeletal remains litter the floor, and among them rests the recently slain corpse of an elf, his arms torn off and several feet from the body. Several of you notice a swinging axe trap that has yet to be triggered; standing just beyond the trap is a mercenary soldier pointing a crossbow at you.
