This is the discussion thread for 2-13. I've got reserved places for the characters of Gerald, chocula, Rychyrych and Sior (and two more)

![]() |

I'm here, just gotta get that chronicle so I can officially level up. Should be tonight or tomorrow. I'll fix my profile then.

![]() |

Howdy, all! I'm in the same game as Darvik. I'd think we'd be ready by tomorrow evening. All Hagrym has to do add gold, etc, because I won't be levellling.

DM Kludde |

I've sent out pm's to the players on the list, so we should fill the other two spots soon - and it'll give Hagrym and Darvik some time to update the characters.
Just out of interest: what scenarios have your characters gone through? Can you tell me something about their background?

![]() |

well this is Liara's first scenario (and my first cleric) but my other character Imperia Lexia has run Mists (with you :)) and the confirmation and is currently fighting in the diamond city. As for character background it is on my sheet located on the bottom .

![]() |

Darvik is about to escape The Accursed Halls. He will end up as a S&B fighter of sorts. He thinks he can be a leader but really he isn't.

![]() |

The Accursed Halls , Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible, Tide of Morning, and the Cyphermage Dilemma will be. Hagrym's scenarios.
He swings a big sword. When he isn't swinging his sword, he's thinking about swinging it. He has a terrible charisma, and laughs way too heartily at his own jokes. He also likes slapping his friends on the back...way too hard.

![]() |

The Confirmation, Delirium's Tangle, and Murder's Mark is the extent of Loenor's resume.
A wiry elf, sinewy muscle pressing beneath skin stained in shades of blue and hues of green. Trident, cutlass, and shortbow are his weapons. Wary of traps and learning to deftly spring and disable them.

![]() |

Aw neat...I didn't realize that The Accursed Halls gives three xps. So Hagrym will indeed level. I'll get that done today.
Me being level three is still ok, I assume.

bluedove |

Hello! Wanted to double check who I should bring along. I have a rogue investigator who needs to go up to lvl 3 and a lvl 1 bard (Lexia should remember Azura!) But need to do a little work on both of their sheets, probably prefer to bring the bard, myself, though she is an Andoran! ^_~

DM Kludde |

We've got a full table now: bluedove and magabeus are the players completing the table. The 'throaty mermaid' is indeed a ship, so it would be good to prepare for a sea voyage.

![]() |

GM, sir, I think now is a good time to say that Loenor has the Spirit of the Waters alternate racial trait. So if he ever falls overboard, he can always take 10 while swimming for a 20 total. Gotta love Advanced Race Guide shenanigans, eh?

DM Kludde |

For this scenario, faction missions are still used (as secondary success condition). I've got two Cheliax, a Sczarni, a Grand Lodger, an Andoran (I assume), and I don't know the faction of Magabeus' character.
I'll post missions once the game starts (in the gameplay thread)

DM Kludde |

I've put up the first gameplay posts. Bluedove, you can finalise the character (I've seen it before, so I'm not expecting any big shocks) and just post.
Still hoping for Magabeus to join...
Your characters will have met on the first leg of the journey - feel free to play that out as well.

• Grand Lodge faction PCs should treat Osirion faction missions as their own for all Season 0, 1, and 2 scenarios.
• Lantern Lodge faction PCs should treat Qadira faction missions as their own for all Season 0, 1, and 2 scenarios.
• Sczarni faction PCs should treat Taldor faction missions as their own for all Season 0, 1, and 2 scenarios.
• Shadow Lodge faction PCs should treat Cheliax faction missions as their own for all Season 0, 1, and 2 scenarios.
• Silver Crusade faction PCs should treat Andoran faction missions as their own for all Season 0, 1, and 2 scenarios.

This is Magabeus character, sorry for the delay. Faction: Andoran
I have played the Dalsine Affair and First Steps 1 with her. Also got two credits with pregens (Rivalry's end and We be Goblins Too).
She is a archer ranger that just hit 2nd lvl. Not used to shipping but she loves it. Only thing that worries her is the lack of fertile soil on which she can rest her greenwood bow.

![]() |

Sorry for my delay as well, trying a different build for Azura, this time focusing on buffing my allies. ^_~
Question for the GM:
Gave her the Flagbearer feat and purchased a Pathfinder society flag. She has a buckler as well which states:
This small metal shield is worn strapped to your forearm. You can use a bow or crossbow without penalty while carrying it.
Benefit: You can also use your shield arm to wield a weapon (whether you are using an off-hand weapon or using your off hand to help wield a two-handed weapon), but you take a –1 penalty on attack rolls while doing so. This penalty stacks with those that may apply for fighting with your off hand and for fighting with two weapons. In any case, if you use a weapon in your off hand, you lose the buckler's Armor Class bonus until your next turn. You can cast a spell with somatic components using your shield arm, but you lose the buckler's Armor Class bonus until your next turn. You can't make a shield bash with a buckler.
Now my question is: Can I hold my flag in my buckler hand without any penalty while using my primary hand to cast or attack?
Also spent 2 pp for a Wand of CLW.

![]() |

Rules question: Greenwood items need to rest on fertile soil for an hour every week. Would you be fine with me having a sack of soil with me for that purpose?

DM Kludde |

If captain Cook could do it, you can do it.

DM Kludde |

As for the flag bearer feat: hard one. The bonus seems passive, just holding the flag (like holding a torch) would work, so I suppose you can still deflect using the buckler.
I'm not going to rule against the Pathfinder flag, but somehow it seems a bit ill-fitting. I'm on the brink of saying it should be an Andoran or (at your discretion) a Grand Lodge flag. The loyalties of some of the members seem to lie elsewhere. Which flag would your character run under if it were the olympics?

![]() |

Well, I was thinking that since we were representing the Decemvirate that it should be the Glyph of the Open Road, but isn't that the symbol of the Grand Lodge as well? I was shooting for giving a party wide bonus, but if my GM would like for Azura to be parading around with an Andoran flag of protest on a smuggler's ship, she will certainly oblige. ^_^
And be simply heartbroken over leaving the Chelaxians out of the fun. XD

![]() |

Eolowyn, The wands are actually 1d8 +3, so add another 4 hp
Now I am confused, why? The minimum caster level to cast a cure light wounds is 1 and not 3. Not that I would mind ;-) I have never seen it ruled like this.

DM Kludde |

You are confused because I was wrong. I have the 'fey foundling' feat on a couple of characters of mine, so I'm quite used to rolling 1d8+3. The spell is at lvl 1, so for a regular wand it is 1d8+1

![]() |

Can you repeat my faction mission for me? Thanks

![]() |

andoran it was on the first page =)

![]() |

Something tells me I'm going to be useless in interacting with the crew. I am an aquatic elf just like the fellows who assaulted the ship. I bet we can see no small amount of prejudice against me... Damn alternate racial traits actually coming into play...

![]() |

Taking the words out of my mouth. Poirot is far more enjoyable than Marple. And "And Then There Were None" is still one of my favourite books!

![]() |

Sorry, Azura's player has been in a Benedryl induced coma for the past day or two. Being sick is no fun, trying to sort through and figure out where everyone is.

![]() |

lol, she's still nice... to the right people! Her player just knew that the art of intimidation would likely come in handy here. ^_^

![]() |

I've returned from OwlCon. The plan for me is to find the time this afternoon to catch up, I have 30+ posts to wade through in this game alone. :)
For now I'll simply go along with the majority, I do not want to hold anything up.

![]() |

Talk with Thanzeril? Unless you want to share that he had an alibi? We need to keep notes on everyone's alibis...
Ulamon - Plotting a course, no witnesses
Captain Veane - ____________
First Mate Mallick - _________
Azuretta - With Thanzeril
Thanzeril - With Azuretta
Anera - Claims ill, no witnesses, known assassin (from faction mission)
Shira the cook - No alibi, not a very nice person
What am I missing?

What the .... 77 unread posts!?
Sorry for the absence, had some real life issues and a broken down laptop that needed fixing.

DM Kludde |

Guess I forgot to warn you. Some of these guys burned through the Stolen Heir in three weeks. I hope the number of posts doesn't put you off :/
For orientation: the PCs have been talking to several crew members (see the list of Loenor). There's still more areas of the ship to explore (Nobody has been to area 7, 9, or 10 yet, and nobody has spoken with Mallick at this point)
Maybe someone else can summarise their own view on the clues you've gathered?
