That said, Lilia heads off.

"Any progress so far?" Lilia asks as she walks up to her allies at the fence.

Seeing as they're still receiving the silent treatment, Lilia starts working on the fence's lock.

You detect no magic on the man, but there seems to be a faint aura of necromancy coming from the very ground itself, as if the land is sick with some taint.

The lock seems sturdier than you thought. After three tries without success, you suddenly remember:

Venture Captain Dreng wrote:

He stands up and pulls an iron key from his waistcoat.

“I leave you with the key to the Drownyard gate. Remember, the Drownyard is a deeply personal site for many powerful Inner Sea families. You will tread upon the graves of their children. Be sure to give the site the respect it deserves. Any questions?”

When you open the padlocked gate with the Drownyard key, the man approaches you with an abruptly friendly demeanor. He drops his gloves and axe, smiles, and reaches out a hand.

Friends! Why didn't you tell me earlier you'd come? I would've arranged a party. My name is Derris Marlinchen. My daughter Cassiel attends this school. You should see how she’s grown. Those beautiful long braids! What can I do for you today?

Marlinchen speaks softly and appears completely calm.

It is a mighty fine thing to have a daughter indeed. I've been tending to the grounds whilse she's still in class, a dallying parent is a lousy parent! Come with me!

The ruined paths of the Tri-Towers Yard wind their way around black ponds and gray, shattered buildings. Powerful fragrances precede one roofless hall where a thin path meanders through an abundance of flower arrangements in wild bloom, growing into a small flower garden.

Just off this path is the entrance to a small classroom. Marlinchen turns his head and puts his index finger in front of his mouth, as to motion silence. When you look in you see ten students dressed in checkered uniforms sit stiffly at wooden desks, staring straight ahead. No one moves. At the front of the class, a conservatively dressed woman leans against the wall.

Jobin turns to Radayah. He writes something in a paper and give to radayah.

Thanks Radayah. It confirm what my sense said. I think also that Derris has some sort of trauma.

We, the priest of pharasma, have a lot of those in our building. Blame the death of Aroden for that. Prophecy are now a mad gift.

I am not a specialist but we need him to follow his façade and help him realise this problem or at least put him in a place where he will not hurt himself. (Pharasma wishs it.) For him, it is true. Imagine if someone was saying that you were not a wizard but an insane human woman who is in a fantasy.

He can became agressive if confronted. And in a pragmatic way. He is the expert in this place.

I will try to talk to the other about this.

Silver Crusade

@Jobin:
You think these are not undead, but some vague memory of restless spirits, causing those with an affinity for magic to see the memories in the form of ghost-like figures. These spirit-memories are not undead, but are destroyed if exposed to positive energy.

Marlinchen seems a bit surprised at Hyglak's suggestion.

Wha- A drink? Well, if that's customary.

He takes a polite sip of the flask, before coughing and giving it back.

Thank you. Best not disturb Mrs. Heracks' class any further. I can introduce you to the headmistress, Mrs. Kiwu? It's not every day we get visitors, especially not pathfinders such as yourself. She'd be delighted to drink some coffee with you before you heada out again.

Good, good! Follow me, please.

He leads you to a small office down the hallway. Inside, the flickering image of an older lady silently interacts with Marlinchen following a twitch of his hand. The office seems fairly untouched besides the mold on the ceiling and the dust on the furniture. As soon as he turns around, the image of the woman disappears.

You have Mrs Kiwu's permission to enter the necropolis underneath the school grounds. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to wait for Cassiel on the grounds. I've been waiting so long...

He sighs and walks out of the office towards the pool of water in the middle of the grounds, staring at the sky empty-eyed and motionless.

Drowning rules:

Any character can hold her breath for a number of rounds equal to twice her Constitution score. If a character takes a standard or full-round action, the remaining duration that the character can hold her breath is reduced by 1 round. After this period of time, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check every round in order to continue holding her breath. Each round, the DC increases by 1.

When the character finally fails her Constitution check, she begins to drown. In the first round, she falls unconscious (0 hp). In the following round, she drops to –1 hit points and is dying. In the third round, she drowns.

Unconscious characters must begin making Constitution checks immediately upon being submerged (or upon becoming unconscious if the character was conscious when submerged). Once she fails one of these checks, she immediately drops to –1 (or loses 1 additional hit point, if her total is below –1). On the following round, she drowns.

Silver Crusade

You have 18 rounds left without air. If you want you can try to break free from the grapple, or attack with your dagger...ready a channel maybe?
