Garth moves up, and again tries to trigger his wand. This time it triggers, unleashing a torrent of flame in a 15' cone.

The golem catches fire, stumbling back as its limbs smolder and pop. As it becomes wreathed in smoke, you can hear the two large shields hit the ground, ringing out through the dungeon. After a few moments, the smoke fades, leaving only embers.

"Well, that was surprising," says Garth, as he licks his eyes to remove the irritants from the smoke. "Someone should grab those shields, and we should move on. Is there anything else there?"

The shields are large and poorly designed. They each weigh 60 pounds. While carrying them, you are considered wielding a tower shield, but are always flat footed.
In the ashes and embers you find the panel that shifts the stairs - you may be able to reset it.
Exits from this room are (East) blocked and (South) a closed door.

Did the mesmerist trick go off? If so, he sets it up again with Rolander.
Ignoring Anya, Garth looks to the shields. "Wow. I couldn't even think to carry one of those on my best day. Why, it probably weighs three times what I do!"

And the door seems clear, but locked. Quickly though, the key is found, still cold from its time in the pool of water.
The small chamber has a table in the center of it. On the table are sets of bags, each with a note attached, displaying one of your names.
A quick search finds nothing else in the room.

Garth bounces over to where his stash lies, and checks it out. "Oh, wow. This will certainly be helpful! Well, for the times my mind-mastery doesn't work, at least."
Garth's tongue whips out, and grabs the wand, bringing it to himself. "I should have picked up one of those wand harnesses I saw back in Bloodcove. You put a wand into it, and it makes it far easier to trigger. Oh, well, no bohter" he says to no one in particular.
He then checks out the scroll. "Well, this might be a little tougher. Will really have to concentrate to invoke the magics from this. Anya, would this be easier for you to to use?" It is a scroll of scorching ray

Complex room here, I'm going to try to keep everything as easy as possible.
The door swings out, revealing a single pillar in the center of a wide, domed chamber. The pillar is surrounded by a pit, but a stone bridge crosses the put on the south side. Dozens of arrows jut from holes in the pillar, facing every direction.
