Brayden peers around with a half-frown, somewhat annoyed that he did not get to land a blow -- yet again -- on the minions.
"Well done, half-orc! Let's get back to Uori now," Brayden suggests to the party, sheathing his longsword again. "More importantly," he continues, suddenly remembering the fragile guide they had left behind, "What of Janira?"

Knowing Uori wouldn't be able to hear the party, Brayden once again gently interrupts Uori by poking his shoulder with his finger. We did clear these caves for him, he can't possibly get mad at us for interrupting him now.
"We've managed to dispatch the kobolds, elder. Now, what can you tell us?"

            "You have cleared everything?"
Well....not everything, but he doesn't know yet.
"Very well.
Aside from what i have told you of this place's history, it seems the carvings represent homages, paying respects to, the flawed Aroden. One of my people once saw a scruffy looking wanderer do some sort of ritual, related to what the carving depicts."
Despite his calm demeanor, his next words are serious in sound.
"Please desecrate not this site by performing rituals to the flawed dead one. His time here is past due."
He points to something underneath his folded cloak.
"As an appreciation for your troubles of clearing the caves, there is a wand, you can have it."
Wand of Shield of Faith. 10 charges.
He'll tell what it is if none identify it.

Ah, yes, that would make sense given what is known of Aroden. Do you know why this wanderer believed he had received a blessing? Where there any latent magical effects that acivated when he performed his ritual? Can you describe what actions he took in performing the ritual? If this shrine is no longer Aroden's to what deity is it now conserated?
Nevisial scribbles.

            Uori frowns.
He is not amused by inquiries about Aroden.
"I do not know, i could speculate he was a pilgrim to Aroden's spiritual legacy. As for lingering magical effects, i saw no proof of it, nor do i wish to have anything to do with that."
.......
"I did not see what actions he performed. From the brief telling, the wanderer acted upon the carving's symbolism.

After listening intently, Brayden examines the wand and unsuccessfully struggles to get an idea of what magic it contains.
"This wanderer... What more can you tell us about him? Was his appearance similar to your own?" Brayden pauses and thinks back to what Janira had told them. "And what did he do after this ritual? Simply wander away? Was he a hostile creature?"

I see in this the hand of Chaos!! With each such a crazy step nearer the moment when the Abyss mercifully open it's doors for us.
Maladash laughs loudly. His laughter spread in all directions and walks in the recesses of the cave.

As Maladash didn't post it, i'll go with a reflex vs engulf.
Reflex Nevisial DC 14: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Aoo Asterion, studied: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11Dmg, studied: 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
Asterion hurts it for 5.
Reflex Maladash DC 14: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Nevisial evades the mold, quickly jumping aside.
Maladash isn't so lucky however, as the icky green slime covers him.
He takes 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 dmg, becomes pinned and must make a DC 16 fort save vs disease.
You can hold your breath for 2x your con score in rounds, if you do nothing. Every time you take an action, you lose 1 rounds worth.
