You remembered Alie's failure and kidnapping and being briefly turned into a breeder by the xill! That was her first failure and still haunts her. In her last scenario, the group had to deal with a xill merchant and it was really traumatic for her! She still hasn't forgotten.

I forgot to mention this, but I generally follow the same rules as EndlessForms for GMing.
At this point in time, I am committing to significant, contributory posts six days a week. I might add in some extras, but there will be at least six along with the possibility of extra lesser posts to encourage RP.
In order to get up significant, story-progressing posts, I will need regular posting from you, the players. At the very least, I need five 'push' posts from each of you. Posts that are a few lines of dialogue that say nothing are irrelevant. If combat ends and this is your post:
I stow my hammer before dismissing my earthy companion. "You've done well. Rest."
I can do nothing with that post. It's a great start to a post, but it is not a post that does anything.
A good rule of thumb is: Think before clicking 'Submit' about what you expect me to do after reading your post. In the post above, I already told the player that combat is over. They haven't moved to heal up wounds. They haven't moved the story along and, honestly, they haven't even started good roleplay.
In the event of an absence, notice is always better than nothing! A quick little blurb that life has overwhelmed you or that you just had a baby helps immensely. On that note, if you are going on a drinking binge or just had a kid (aka life takes you away from a computer for a while), take care of life! I just ask for a heads up.
If you AFK without notice, I reserve the right to just say that your character delays. Most likely, this means that you will miss a turn as I usually run multiple bad guys under a single initiative (averaging their Inits, usually). If you give notice, then I will try to bot your character though I make no guarantees as to their effectiveness if I've never seen them act in combat.
Finally, let's have fun!
Any comments, questions or concerns?

I also PMed Bold as to where the group is, since I played it before. It's a fun scenario in my opinion.
Morrin the Stout |
Whee another portal! From a quick search, Morrin has gone through two other portals previously.

Posting is going to take a while for me, as health issues and living/job conditions are going to prevent me from posting too regularly.
Karu the Kobold Strider |
I am having some real life issues at the moment. I will try and get up a post tomorrow. Apologies for the poor post rate.

Sorry for the huge delay in posting. An update will happen tomorrow with another discussion post.

"Fletch" |
Okay, all caught up on my reading.
GM BS, let me know where I fall in the initiative. I recommend that Fletch either be in one of the upstairs guest rooms on unrelated business or that he be out on the street, just walking up to the lodge because he heard some well-known Pathfinders were in town.

I will be heading to a convention this weekend. Will post when I can.

Long day. I'll get a post up tomorrow.

No worries. Just got in from work and a con that is going on this weekend. Gonna finish prepping when I wake up, haha.

Hey guys! Sad news. I have decided to end my time on the boards as I have lost most of my interest in the game at this point. (The game being Pathfinder, not this particular run)
As such, I have made a post in the Discussion section of the Flaxseed Lodge and I am going to try and get a competent replacement to fill in my recently-lacking shoes.
In the mean time, I will try to wrap up this combat. :)

Hi all,
I've been in touch with Bold Strider and am reading over the game so far. Assuming you are happy with me taking over, it is likely to be a couple of days while I grab the scenario and read over it.
I understand this is also just part one of four, so it looks to be a long haul.
Morrin the Stout |
Thank you for stepping in Aerondor!
No problem Bold Strider, I can understand the burnout and hope that wherever you go, you shall enjoy!
Alie Saechel |
Thanks BS. Hope you get recharged sometime soon!
GM A, thank you for considering helping us out. Take your time. It'd be awesome if you take over the Captain's chair.
Kalendir |
Thanks Bold! Wish you the best of luck.
Wynnreyell Moonsilver |
Thanks for the fun combat Bold.
I too understand that burn out is a real thing.
GM Aerondor |
My pleasure. I'm going to dot in the gameplay as well. Things are going to be hectic for me for a couple of days, with Easter just around the corner and I have a cousin and her family coming to visit. But with you in the middle of a combat, that is kind of handy for me to give me a chance to read up. This first scenario is a big one!
Quick question, I see in Flaxseed there is someone wanting to play Eyes of the Ten. How would you feel about a 6th person joining you once this combat finishes up?
Morrin the Stout |
I'm fine with it as well, as getting the people for Eyes can be a tad daunting.
Tortuga |
Hello all! I'm the potential sixth that Aerondor was talking about.
Wynnreyell Moonsilver |
Glad to see a familiar face. A different character of mine as had the pleasure of being in the game with Tortuga. Very strong front line fighter. Glad to have you along.
Morrin the Stout |
You mean I don't have to barbarian tank? Huzzah!
"Fletch" |
This week has been filled with taxes (mine and my mother's), making offers on a house and my oldest son's fourth birthday (today). So, no appearances from me until tomorrow, probably.
GM Aerondor |
Hi all,
I have written to the community support staff to try and get the game moved across to my ownership. I was hoping Bold Strider would finish the combat, but if he is not in a position to, I'll pick it up when ownership gets moved across to me.
Morrin the Stout |
Thanks Aerondor!
Kalendir |
I will be leaving for vacation in Mexico this weekend and will be gone through the beginning of May. It says I have Wifi there so I should be able to still post once a day at night.
Morrin the Stout |
Have fun on your trip!
GM Aerondor |
Right, I've put up a post. I think I'm up with what is happening, but will likely have a few questions as I settle in.
Fletch is up. Morrin, I assume your NL damage is from burn, and thus can't be healed?
Tortuga |
Good luck everyone. Just imagine that there is a dwarf running faster than any dwarf you've seen before trying to catch up.
Romulus appears to be Fletch's companion.
Morrin the Stout |
Correct, the NL damage is from burn, which stays with me until I sleep it off.
Alie Saechel |
Alie has 323 gold, so she can chip in for the scroll.
The only questions I can think of include, Why did the assassin (what'shisname) want to kill you, or have you ever dealt with him before?
Tortuga |

He might not know why though.
Tortuga is sitting on 3098 gp.
What have we learned about the attacker so far?

They have given me the game ownership at long last. Yay!
As you will be using the scroll in game, I'd be willing to let you buy a higher caster level version for in-game use if you wanted more questions. Can't make it onto a chronicle if left over though.
Kalendir |
What do the marks on the map lead to?
Why did the Red Raven target him for death?
Tortuga |
I haven't read through the entire gameplay thread, so I don't have enough information to know what are good questions to ask.
Wynnreyell Moonsilver |
The Map question is good. We should keep the second question open, depending on the answer from the first.
