As Aelin enters the room a small bottle of ink falls and cracks over her head.
"No one shall." Caught stops mid sentence. As Tannar calls the fox Caught the six scroll fragments begin to glow. As they glow they hover in the air and stitch themselves back together. Just as they are stitched an enormous inter dimensional gateway opens and sucks the fox in and traps him once again. The albatross and owl ar scene leaping into the gateway.
Even though the fox is gone the crocodile still remains.
The crocodile lunges at Grast.

Aelin sends a bolt of lightning towards the beast and it immediately succumbs to its wounds.
End combat
Nice job there.
Now you have Caught captured, what do you need to do next?

Ah!! Don't tempt me, fox, I am in a foul mood! You are our prisoner!
Remember you spoke his name so now he is trapped back in the completed scroll. I will carry on from there, so it's back to Mistress Koi.
The Pathfinders drudge back into the wet Archives to confront Minstrss Koi. As they approach she notices you.
"Hi! I'm Mistress Koi. Have you seen a fox around here."
Remember she's forgetful. Try explaining what she agreed to and see if she agrees. A few diplomacy checks will probably help too. Once again sorry for not updating yesterday, but that migraine would not go away.

Do we not still have the other fox we rescued? I assumed the party was yelling at him for no real reason.
"We found one in a cage and another attempting some sort of magic. When his name was called a portal seemed to suck him in."
HP 10/10; AC 16, T13, FF13; CMD 13; F+3, R+3, W+4 (+6 vs ench); Perc+4, low-light, Init +3
The other fox was the real Virml. He's currently slightly toothless and confused, following us around.
"Greetings, Mistress Koi. We have trapped the fox called Caught. We return him to you, in return for which you agreed to dry these archives that you have made into a watery mess."
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 19
The fox you rescued is the real Virml. The fox that was with the crocodile is Caught. Caught is now trapped back into the scroll. Mistress Koi required Caught to be found. So, as long as you explain that you have Caught in the scroll then your mission will be complete.

Speaking in sylvan
good day Madame Koi, we have heard you are in a bit of a bind, all due to the actions of a fox. If you could do something about this water we have the fox caught in the scroll, and would be willing to hand him over to you
diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
"Hi. Good day to you too. You found a fox. I was looking for a fox. Are you the ones who said they would find the fox for me?'
I think one more diplomacy check and she should clean up the water for you.
Female Aasimar Hunter 4 | AC 22 T 14 FF 19| HP 31/31| F 7 R 9 W 5| Init 6| Perc 10
Continuing in sylvan
Yes we are and here is the scroll that holds the fox
She reaches out and hands over the scroll to madame koi
diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
"I remember you. You found the fox. I will clean up the water."
As Mistress Koi cleans up the remaining water the scroll comes to life again. As the whirlpool from the scroll opens up Mistress Koi swims to the center and vanishes as the last drop of water is sucked into the whirlpool. When the whirlpool closes the scroll falls to the ground and is dormant once again.
The Pathfinders find there way back to the lobby and are immediately met there by Kreighton Shaine.
"What is this? Where did the water go? What happened down here?" The Master of Scrolls exclaims.

"There was a fish... and a fox. I found it confusing, someone else may have a better impression I think."

Silvanthur nods and bows to the Master of Scrolls. "Sir one of the scrolls contained some sort of pocket dimension in which a fox-spirit was imprisoned. It escaped and its jailer followed here, flooding the Archive in order to help trap and recapture the fox. Virml, the Virml you saw, was that fox-spirit disguised. The real Virml is with us, and he has suffered much at the hands of tooth fairies. But all is right and my comrades performed their tasks admirably, sir."
Female Aasimar Hunter 4 | AC 22 T 14 FF 19| HP 31/31| F 7 R 9 W 5| Init 6| Perc 10
Long story short sir, a fox changed himself to look like Virml and changed Virml to look like him. This Fox also released and trapped some creatures in the lower sections, one of which was willing to remove the water if we gave her the fox, which we did

"You expect me to believe that with no evidence to support it. I see me creatures like that around. Either way, your mission is complete. You may keep any treasure you found. I will require that you give me The Darklands Precept that I know you found."
Kreighton Shaine extends his hand and waits for the book to be handed over. The Pathfinders hand over the book and Kreighton Shaine walks off into the Archives.
That is it. You have fulfilled everything you were tasked with. Thank you. You guys were great. I have chronicle sheets filled out all ready. Give me a day or two to double check them and I will post a link to the folder I have them in.
