Makena Nyambose |
Unaware of the barbarian's intent and taking advantage of Twigg's distraction, Makena sneaks to the upper deck. She softly sings a sweet lullaby, barely audible to anyone but her. She extends her right palm under her lips and blows gently, sending her arcane music through the deck towards the woman and her companion.
Stealth to the upper deck: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Standard Action: Cast sleep (DC 13)
Roary Flamebearer |
Yea i dunno what was up with the 21.. obviously a typo.. I assumed with her distracted by the silent image we would have a surprise round.. All good though
When its his turn he'll attempt to repeat..
attack+charge+pa-flat side: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
dam+pa: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 4) + 12 = 18 Non-Lethal
Astarton Columbridge |
As soon as Roary looked like he couldn't contain himself anymore, Astarton rushed out of the hold doing exactly what he was best at: making a spectacle of himself. Before she could react, he moves beyond the lady toward the end of the boat flapping his arms like a tengu. "Watch the birdie!" he squawked lobbed a sling stone above the rowboat in the center of the deck at the lady's companion.
Arcane Strike (sling): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Sorry for the racism, but I never said that Astarton was a high class guy.
Gryne Skystone |
Gryne will ascend the stairs and let out a Hearty Dwarven Bellow (Ear Piercing Scream) The Scream is half Belly Shout and Half Belly Belch.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
If hit 1d6 ⇒ 3 and stunned for 1 round.
Fort save for half and no stun - DC=14
I'm sure I missed but I was targeting the "pet".
GM Captain Trips |
Ok, back in town from the wedding. Man, did I leave us at a bad spot or what? :)
Astarton, not one who is prone to be conservative, heads out into the open desk, moving towards the woman in plate and doing his best impression of a flightless bird, chucks a sling stone at his target, missing wide, the stone thunking off of a section of the boat. Makena moves quietly onto the deck, following Astarton's dramatic entrance, and whispers quietly in a lovely melody, sending her arcane energy out through the notes of her song...
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Other target is immune
...the woman's eyes flutter for just a moment and she manages to shake off the spell.
The creature, seemingly some sort of undead monstrosity, bears its wicked nails and fangs and steadies itself, protecting its master.
The Twigg is up!
GM Captain Trips |
Twigg, unfortunately I think you are too far to get it off on her this round. I show you as 50 feet away with two paths to get to her. A 40 foot move on the clear path still leaves you at 20' away because of the diagonal. The other way puts you in front of her friend, 15' away from her, but through cover.
GM Captain Trips |
Gotcha
Twigg shuffles up behind the rowboat on the main deck, preparing to launch a spell at the next chance he gets. In response, the woman moves ahead, standing behind her foul minion, and begins to chant in a dark tone, sending waves of foul energy through the ship...
Channel Energy, Negative
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
Saves for Half, DC 14 (Halve the damage if you make your save)
Twigg: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Roary: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Makena: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Astarton: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Gryne is up!
Gryne Skystone |
My action is above.
I believe Astarton said that Ear Piercing Scream did not require an attack roll, just a save for 1/2 and no daze. The save is 10+spell level+mod, so 15 fort.
GM Captain Trips |
Gryne lets out a dwarven bellow at the foul creature in front of the party...
Fort Save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
...and the creature recoils at the sound, its once functioning ear drums bursting and blood spraying from its ears.
Roary, finally released, charges at the creature...
No path to the woman, so I'm assuming you would want to chop something at least. My guess is you wouldn't strike to subdue on undead, so I'll adjust your roll accordingly.
...and connects, his sword cleaving through the creature and carving it into two nicely distinct pieces, both of which drop to the floor with a thud.
Astarton, Makena, and Twigg are up!
Roary Flamebearer |
Sounds good
His sword caked in undead gore he'll turn towards the woman.. "DROP YOUR WEAPONS OR DIE!"
rage 4/11
Astarton Columbridge |
Astarton moves up to the mast, dropping his sling and drawing out his curveblade as he approaches the slaver. He's a bit serious as he goes after the lady because goofy has really been not on his side lately.
Arcane Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Makena Nyambose |
Makena watches de group flocking around the woman and realizes she has no space to fight in hand-to-hand combat. She curses her choice of weapon and drops the kukri on the deck as she reaches for her bow and for an arrow. She hopes to get a good shot this time, but all the people in front of her make it difficult to see the woman. She waits for Asterton's swing and fires over the half-elf's shoulder.
Free action - release kukri
Move action - draw bow and arrow
Ranged Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Damage if it hits: 1d6 ⇒ 5
_Twigg |
Twigg will lean over the cover and cast Color Spray, careful to avoid Astarton don't have roll 20, I think the priest was within 15 feet, if not
Twigg will move within range.
"Woo! Light magic!"
GM Captain Trips |
Astarton steps up and hits the woman with a mighty stroke, finding a crease in her armor and drawing a grimace of pain as his completes his cut. Makena fires her bow at the target, the arrow sailing wide and heading out to sea, splashing down in the water in the distance.
Twigg channels some flashy arcane magic, sending forth a shower of color at the woman, rainbow flashes filling the night time air...
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
I'm assuming a 19 makes the save?
The woman, blinking her eyes after the onslaught of magic, steps back away from the deadly bard and his elven blade, and casts a spell of her own, pointing at the barbarian who will surely end her life if he is not dealt with quickly...
Fort Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
The magic assaults the barbarian, his eyes clouding over for only a moment before he shakes off the effects of the dark magic and stares the woman down, promising only pain in return for her assault!
Gryne and Roary are up, followed by Astarton, Makena, and Twigg!
Roary Flamebearer |
Roary charges and takes a mighty swing using the flat of his blade..
Attack+Charge-PA-4: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Dam+PA: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (2, 2) + 12 = 16
rage 3/11
Roary Flamebearer |
Trying to take her alive, hence swinging with the flat and taking
-4 to hit..
Gryne Skystone |
Oh yeah, I know you want her alive which is why I am waiting I don't want to fire off a spell and kill her. Above was my threat for her to give up.
Gryne Skystone |
Gryne was still at the stairs, so I'm not sure how you are going to unarmed strike her from there, and she's too far to move and attack I fear. Also, keep in mind unless you have improved unarmed strike, unarmed attacks provoke, and she might bash you with a big nasty flail.
Ugghhh I didn't check Roll20, my bad. I guess I will move into position behind Roary, ready to heal/shield.
moved myself on Roll20.Astarton Columbridge |
Astarton, seeing that Roary's threat of cleaving her went unheard, decided to see what he could do about it. He moved around to her flank and attacked. He was getting grumpy, and it wasn't going to be good for his show tonight, if he even made it on time.
Arcane Strike: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 2d10 + 4 ⇒ (1, 8) + 4 = 13
GM Captain Trips |
Astarton circles around the back of the woman, more than a little bit peeved that this whole affair was possibly going to make him late for his show, and slices at her with his elven sword, cutting her down and sending her body crashing to the deck with a loud thump, her flail falling from her hand with a clang.
End Initiative
Roary Flamebearer |
Ending his rage Roary bends and picks her flail up.. "Someone heal her.. If she is the leader my representative would like her hanged publicly.. If she nots than we need info on where this leader is.."
"Gryne use my wand on her!" Roary will sit on the woman's chest as she's brought back concious..
Gryne Skystone |
I will approach the woman, and touch her to stabilize. (Touched by the Sky)
And if she is still able to be healed I will use the Wand.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Be ready Roary
_Twigg |
Twigg stops his prancing when he sees Gryne heal the woman.
"Wow! You are a creature of magic too! I suppose magic comes in all form... even hairy!" Twigg laughs.
Once Gryne uses the wand Twigg gets ready to daze her if she gets aggressive (Will DC 17).
Roary Flamebearer |
"Well dammit all to hell.. Lets search her for info"
perc.: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
GM Captain Trips |
Searching through the remains you find two potions of cure light wounds, a set of +1 half-plate, and a masterwork heavy flail. You also find a note and a map on her that seems to give directions to a cooper’s warehouse on the south side of the Imperial Naval Shipyards. The note is a love note accompanying the directions and is signed by one Dalirio Teppish.
If any of you are from the Taldor region and have Knowledge: Nobility trained you can make a check here for additional information.
_Twigg |
"Let us drink some delicious magic juice! Who is hurt??? I am! This way if there are more bad guys we will be ready! Even though my light magic hasn't been working... I wonder if I'm doing it wrong?"
Twigg practices the somatic component of color spray
Roary Flamebearer |
Roary drinks one Cure Pot: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"I think we should look into this warehouse, but first lets get all these prisoners free and perhaps we should ask around about this Dalirio Teppish.. I need a drink and a rest as well.."
Astarton Columbridge |
Astarton shrugs at Roary, "Sorry, I figured you wanted her dead with that threat you gave her and her lack of compliance. If you told me to take her alive I definitely would have. I'm still very frightened of you, especially if such a thought eases your mind."
The half-elf wants to explore the rest of the ship to make sure all of the slaves are found, and to check for the captain's Log Book to see where they might have been going. Also, if there are any crates with a big red X on them, he will have to take note.
