Hey all! Looking forward to the start of the game!

Dot. I'm leaning toward a cleric ATM actually. 4 first game characters strikes me a maybe a bit rough, I'm OK with Cleric, and I can always just rebuild for L2, after getting my feet wet as it were.
Fiddling around with an Abadaran reach Cleric, with Law and Travel on Tabletopgiant. As soon as I can get it public, I'd appreciate any comments as I have Zero PFS experience, and likely may have missed something specific to the campaign.
(Despite zero actual game time, I do have a fair amount of Pathfinder, and other experience so that will help, and I HAVE done some research.)
Alias is pending a name.

I wouldn't pick a class to fit in with the others personally. I have seen random parties work out perfectly! And most of the time it is more fun to have just a bunch of random characters put together.

Roonfizzle Garnackle |

Aye! I was considering Magus at first, and the idea of 4 front line melee's fighting to get into place seemed a bit rough.
Next time I play, I won't worry about party make up much, if at all.
Besides, I'm OK with a Cleric for my first foray into PFS, in many ways it will make things easier.
Edit: Tabletopgiant to the rescue! Character WIP

Four frontliners means the enemies die faster!
But clerics can be fun too!

If I apply a campaign mode home game credit to this character in progress, how doe it work? I've spent an hour or so trying to figure out how to report a game (AP Mummy's Mask, book 1, we just finished, but none of the player are registered PFS players either), and I THINK I got it done, and it lists 2 Prestige for the GM slot. Does this mean that when I finish making my -1, that he'll start with 1 xp and 2 pp and a chronicle sheet with some gp, or that it's better to delete the session and get a better grip on how things work first?
Half the reason that I'm interested in PFS is because I'm having the PF Society involved in game, and would like to know more about it to enhance my game for the rest of the AP.

I'd go for level 2, 'cause it'll make your cleric a bit less squishy!
You can by the way use 2PP to purchase any item worth 750gp or less. (It doesn't stack, so no 4PP for an item worth 1500gp.) Many people use their first 2PP for a wand of cure light wounds, or something else that's very useful to their character.
Check the PFS Guide to see what else you can do with PP, there are some awesome options! Bjarke's going to save up 10PP for a Vanity that gives him a ship!

I'm leaning towards slow for my first foray, as I'd like to see how things actually work in play before giving up that rebuild, but I'm 95% certain I'll pick up that CLW wand anyway. Besides, I have 5 more books that we'll be doing in the short term future.
What has me confused atm, is that there is 2 sanctioned parts of Book 1, but only 1 Chronicle Sheet, and in the reporting process, I didn't see a Slow or Normal option. I do see check-boxes for "Scenario missions accomplished: " A-D, and since they cleared everything so far, I checked all 4 boxes.
Assuming that I go with slow for the AP credit, that means at some point I'll need to pick up another slow to for either this adventure or my next to make an even number of xp? Or can I just decide later, and not worry about it yet, and have say, a L2.25? Just trying to get a grips on things.

At some point you will need to make up the last .5 xp, so you will have to play one other scenario or module on slow, but beyond that, it's no big deal. Have you looked on the product page for Book 1 of Mummy's Mask? There is a place you can download the chronicle sheets. THAT is where you will find the actual sheet for the books. The reason there are two sections listed is due to them needing both to make it worth a full level.

Saving up for a ship also! ^^ Otherwise my first buy is a CLW wand most of the time, unless I am fully melee. For this character that would be a wand of infernal healing.

Fair warning: I spent most of this week elbow deep into the guts of my PC swapping out parts. 6 Ram chips, 3 Video Cards, 2 Motherboards, 2 Cases, 2 Hard Drives, 2 Power Supplies, 2 cables for the monitor.... and I've FINALLY sourced why the thing died on Monday. 1 Power Supply is dying and no longer pumps out enough power to turn the machine on. The other? Is screaming at a skull shattering subsonic tone, and dying. Kinda frustrated, but will continue to check in and post as frequently as I can while I get replacement parts ... I intended to replace the whole box within the next 2~6 months, but I've figured out some in the meantime contingencies while I figure out what I'm doing, so I'll still be around!
Needless to say, somewhat frustrated, and building a profile character sheet has been mostly back-burnered :-/
Fortunately, I'm down to 1 trait, and expenditures.
Seeking Collective Wisdom!:
Masterwork Breastplate? (350)
Agile Breastplate? (400)
MW Agile Breastplate? (750)
MW Longspear? (~310?)
I'll have 762 gp above and beyond the base 150, so can not quite afford both MW Agile AND MW weapon.
I WILL be bringing a CLW Wand, along with some spells/channels.
Some basic framework is in profile, missing the fluff bit I worked up, but out of time this morning, need to get to work.

If you are going into melee I would choose the weapon first, more atk. The agile breastplate reduces some ACP for skills and gives the same bonuses as the normal breastplate. The armor depends a little on what your future plans are...

When was the start of the game again?

![]() |

Update: I THINK, my build is complete. I would appreciate a second look to make sure it is PFS legal, for both the reason of, it's my first real foray into PFS, and I lost access to my main PC, so I'm not sure I missed a required change.
Also, do we have enough people for an 11/5 start? We only need 4, yes?

![]() |

Quite a big party together now!
@Kennald I believe it looks good.

![]() |

Kennald, looks good except you only get one domain spell (other than 0, which doesn't get any).
4-6 PCs is the usually size for a 'table', so as long as too many people don't drop out between now and then we're good to go.

k, pretty sure everything is done finally.
Character sheet Here's the sheet if anyone wants to check it out, should all be there.

Doing a check-in: We are one week from our start date. Once we start, I will keep it rolling as quick as I can, kept in check by our moderator (though they still haven't fully explained how that part will work, I have a pretty good idea, and I have played/run specials in person before).
I would like everyone to bump this post and let me know you are still here and ready to go starting next week. Then I will see about popping in a first post so that everyone can introduce yourselves in character and then we can start as soon as they give me the go ahead!

![]() |

I am readyyy!

GM Hills |

Alrighty, I'm about to drop the first actual post for pushing forward.
I will give you a heads up when the GO email is given to me, but until then, we can't move any further. I have been given the time frame for each section of the scenario. With that said, whenever we are in combat, if you don't post each day (something I am not seeing as an issue with this group) I will simply skip you. If we can get multiple rounds in each day, awesome. I do work an odd work schedule, so my active times vary greatly.

“Pathfinders, please get settled. All campus-wide events are closing. All venture-captains and field agents are invited to gather on the north lawn for refreshments and the keynote address in several minutes.”
Table GMs Act 2 begins November 10th when the Overseer Announcement is made, please begin to conclude whatever contests are ongoing.

+1 to both if in 30 ft. how do crits work in this? mine is a X3 modifier, longbow.
The GM placed a link to a map below the initiative order, where you can see how close you are to the enemy and move your token.
If you deal 1d8+1 damage on a normal hit and your crit multiplier is x3, you roll 2d8+2 for your crit damage. That way the total damage you'd deal on a successful crit will be 3d8+3, which is x3 your usual damage.

Hey guys, just a heads up I'll be out of town until the end of the weekend starting tomorrow morning and wifi will likely be spotty at best, so if necessary to keep the game moving please feel free to bot me.
