Kizziar:
Perception: You cannot detect any auras on her. Going by her face and hands, she seems to be thin and short, but it's hard to be certain as she is wearing several layers. A studded leather jacket overlays a vest with many pockets, under which is a faded, pale green blouse. A headband keeps her short, black hair out of her eyes, which you notice are heterochromatic, one green, the other purple.

Urashu:
Sense Motive: She seems to be suspicious of everyone and everything, but while her movements are quick and energetic, she still seems very focused.

Urashu:
Sense Motive: She is speaking words.

She smirks and nods, turning away. She leads you to the middle of town, to a large, wooden building that is half gothic manor and half palisaded fort. She walks up the stairs to the wrap-around porch and knocks on the door. A moment later, it opens, and you follow her in, a guard shutting the door behind you. She nods to the man and leads you through the house and down some stairs. The basement is stone, rather than wooden, and she leads you to a large, comfortable looking room. The stone walls are covered in rugs and tapestries in many shades of blue, mostly deeper, from cerulean to azure. The scenes they depict are strange and alien to you, involving creatures you've never seen before doing things you cannot discern. There is a desk, cluttered with various paraphernalia, as well as a large, comfortable looking bed.

Sitting in a large, plush chair is a very odd looking creature. Stocky and heavily furred, it resembles nothing so much as a very small mammoth, though flickering whisps of pale green and blue light limns it's form and trails behind it as it moves.

"Dreamstalker" the creature greets Jade as she leads you into the room.

"Dreamweaver" she replies politely, nodding her head towards the creature.

"There's a Xill patrol in the area. I would wait for a few hours," the creature says ponderously, gazing at you, though you can't tell what the expression is on such an alien face.

"Meh," Jade grumps, flopping on the bed, "Let me know when they're gone?"

"Of course," the creature replies.

"Plan is to go through the Ethereal Plane to get to the boss," Jade informs you, "Harder to be tracked that way, and shorter too. We'll just wait for the Xill to clear out first. Actually pretty convenient. Won't have to worry as much about anything else bothering us after they've been cleared out. Might as well make yourselves comfortable."

About the ethereal planes comments and the Xill

Urashu:
Knowledge: Planes: The xill, as Jade said, are one of the more dominate races across the Ethereal Plane. They are a nominally humanoid species that is monogendered, each member capable of both creating and fertilizing eggs on their own. However, the eggs must be incubated in a living host, which has led the species to see most other lifeforms as little more than living incubators. All Xill are capable of shifting from the Material to the Ethereal and vice-versa.

The time passes, and after about an hour and a half, the Dreamweaver nudges Jade to wake her up.

"They're gone," it informed her, "Are you ready?"

Jade yawned and stretched, her joints popping before nodding.

The Dreamweaver bade you all stand in a circle with it in the middle. Without so much as a whisper or gesture, a ring of esoteric symbols burst into being around it, and by the time your eyes adjusted the spell was done.

It's hard to tell the difference at first, the magics and wardings that must infuse the room giving a certain solidity even in the Ethereal, but beyond that most things are misty and indistinct.

"Everybody stay close and don't touch anything," Jade orders, her lackadaisical attitude and spitefulness gone, replaced by a focused professionalism that you can appreciate.

Once again, a flash of symbols appears around the Dreamweaver, and you all feel slightly more in control of your bodies.

"There's nothing holding you down here, so we can travel much faster by flying. But go ahead and take some time to get used to it. Don't want you careening off into the dreams," she says.

And thus begins what is my personal favorite part of the journey! I love planar travel.

After a few minutes of watching you practice moving around, Jade seems satisfied, and you all fly off towards your destination.

The Ethereal Plane is a strange blend of monotonous and boring terrain, with the occasional random jewel of surprising beauty or horror. The lifeforms that you would be seeing were you in the Material Plane are easy to spot, bright auras of life energy contrasting against the greengrey mists of the Planes terrain. A few spots in the town are solid, likely from warding magics, but the rest is fuzzy and indistinct, difficult to focus on.

What is not difficult to focus on, however, are the surprising multitudes of spirits hovering about. Most seem indifferent, and even unaware, staring off into space with only simple emotions crossing their faces.

Others are aware, either giving off despairing wails or enraged shouts, but many seem strangely wounded, and all are unwilling to pursue you.

It's hard to tell in the strange light of this Plane, but you seem to be moving quite quickly, gauging by the quickly dwindling points of light that marked the few solid places in Thrushmoor. It takes just a few hours of travel before Jade starts to look around and check her surroundings. Other than the occasional spirit or pinprick of life, you have seen nothing particularly interesting on your trip. Up ahead though is a much much larger structure, solid with defensive magic.

It is a decent sized manor fort, similar in design to the building you stayed at in Thrushmoor, but larger and more imposing, built of stone instead of wood. As you approach, a large, golden-winged angel flys towards you.

"Greetings Jade Amethyst," the angel speaks, his voice smooth and melodic.

"Antorell," Jade replies, nodding and relaxing a bit.

"These are the ones that the Lord requested.

The angle glances at you, narrowing his eyes and gripping his overlarge mace at the number of evil members of the party.

"Were I not bound, they would not pass," the angel complained.

"Yes yes. Sucks for you," Jade says in irritation, "They shouldn't be here long."

The angel sighs and floats to the side.

"As the Lord wishes," he says, still glaring.

Jade gestures to you and the group flies down to the building, coming to a stop just beyond the rim of light that marked it.

"Dreamweaver?" she asks, and the creature nods, and you are back in the Material.

The effect of gravity reasserting its dominion is slightly disorienting, and even Jade has to check her balance briefly, before placing her palm on the door, which opens enough to let you slip in. Wordlessly she escorts you inside the manor, placing her palm on each door you must pass through, all of them opening of their own accord.

Deep within the manor you all reach a door that she actually knocks at, the rapping sound echoing quietly.

"Come in," a voice replies as the door opens, revealing a moderately sized study. A large fireplace is on your right, as you walk towards a man sitting behind a large desk.

He is slim, with long black hair pulled back away from his largely expressionless face. Other than being almost translucently pale and having straighter hair than most, he is an archtypical Varisian, lean and quick.

"Greetings Hellknights," he says politely, "It is a pleasure to be able to assist the Gate once again. Please, be seated."

He gestures to the chairs arrayed in front of his desk.

Knowledge: Geography: Numeria is a harsh, barren land inhabited primarily by Kellid tribes. It possesses few significant geological features.

"Correct, until just a year or so ago," Lord Vezivo steeples his fingers and gazes into the distance.

"I am something of a patriot, and so I do my duty to ensure that Ustalav is protected as much as is possible. To that end, I do my best to keep tabs on how things fare in our neighboring countries. About a year or so ago, a woman, Ms. Nought, came to my attention, asking for a very peculiar form of assistance. While I was unable to help directly, I did refer her to your Order, as I believed your goals meshed quite well. There was a new political faction, led by a semi-divine entity called Hellion, which she was opposed to. Hellion seems to be singularly devoted to chaos and the destruction of all authority not itself. She had attempted to slay the... thing, but it managed to escape, and due to interference from the Technic League she was and is unable to devote the time and resources necessary to hunt it down. Thus my and, by extension, your involvement," he returns his focus to you.

"After deliberation between myself and your Vicarius, it was determined prudent to support Ms. Nought in her endeavor, as an ally in Numeria would be quite valuable, and she is in a very good place to become a significant, if not the predominant, power there. However, neither I, nor your Order, have the manpower to offer direct support. As such we have been limited in our assistance. However, it seems we have not been discrete enough. Your Vicarius has reason to believe that your missing member was abducted by Hellion's forces. How he knows this, and for what purpose the kidnapping occurred I cannot say, but Torchia has always held his cards close."

"However, that is irrelevant I suppose," Lord Vezivo sighs and leans back in his chair, "The point is that Ms. Nought will be able to provide information on Hellions forces and the most likely locations for your missing Hellknight to be held. My assistance will extend only as far as getting you to her. Once you're in Numeria, you're on your own."
