Tai Leng |

So I just realized I actually do have Snake Fang now.
AoO Round 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
1d6 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
AoO Round 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Hit this round: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
1d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

GM Lemmy |

Tai Leng takes the moment to attack the creature one more time, and in an instant is capable of dealing significant damage to it. Unfortunately, his following attacks are not as effective.
bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25 damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
tentacle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
tentacle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Once again, Brother Cyrus' summoned squid is mauled by the monster hiding underwater.
Just a moment later, the creature on the surface growls in pain as his wounds start to add up. It submerges, while defending itself as well as it can.
"Intruders..." it growls with a tired voice while retreating "Dangerous... Murderers..."
It's eyed tentacles are the last thing you see of the creature, but it's soon gone as well.
Basically, it used withdraw to move down-backwards and escape while it's still alive.
Brother Cyrus' turn, assuming you want to chase it or the 2nd monster.

Brother Cyrus |

Cyrus shrugs. He has no interest in pursuing the creatures into the water.
"Shall we keep moving? I want to get out of here before those...things get back."

GM Lemmy |

The three companions follow the tunnel ahead of them, but not a hundreed feet ahead, their path is blocked by a hastily built stone barrier. Water slowly flows through the gaps between rocks, and just a little bit of light can be seen coming from the other side.
The barrier itself isn't very solid, and can possibly be brought down by removing a few rocks. Whoever built was more worried about build speed than structural sturdiness.
Despite the overwhelming stink all around you, Tai Leng notices a faint smell of... flowers?
Oops, mistook Init with Perception. Only Tai Leng notices the flowery scent.

Brother Cyrus |

Cyrus attempts to prod loose one of the rocks with his longspear.

Brother Cyrus |

Cyrus stops his prodding to take a sniff.
"Why would there be flowers down here?"

GM Lemmy |

I was going to ask for Str check, then I realized it had DC 10, so it'd be pointless! :P
It doesn't take much for the looser rocks to start rolling down and into the water flow... The scent of flowers becomes more and more overwhelming with each falling rock.
A couple minutes and a few rocks later, you notice 2 eyed tentacles spying on you from the water... However, they seem too afraid to come near, and quickly swim away.
The barrier finally falls, allowing the water flow to go unimpeded. and join the stream coming from tunnel you came from.
More than a few rotten bodies float down the water on their way to what seems to be a waterway into the ocean. To your right, a small room, completely covered in a dark purple goo and sickly-looking vines is illuminated by a hole on the ceiling... Under this hole a small pile of corpses rests over a small a puddle of the same purple goo, that slowly but surely flows down a ramp and into the water stream.
The flowery scent seems to completely permeate this room, almost completely overwhelming the smell of rotting bodies.

Brother Cyrus |

"That...doesn't look right. Anyone have a torch?"
Cyrus keeps his distance from it.

Brother Cyrus |

Cyrus holds it for a moment with an almost blank look before sighing.
"I mean I need a fire. I want to burn whatever the hell is over there."

Brother Cyrus |

"A bomb? That sounds dangerous, but we don't seem to have too many options right now and that stuff looks dangerous."

Tai Leng |

You do realize that Continual Flame has a material component of 50gp, right?
Not when I get it once a day as an SLA. =)
Leng smiles inwardly at Cyrus' reaction, but tries to betray no emotion.
"Ah, yes, of course."
"I think your bomb may be our best bet, Eitylen. We could make a torch easily enough but doubt it would do significant harm to that stuff just tossing it in."

Brother Cyrus |

"Give it a poke for me Eitylen, I'm going to stand here in case something happens."
Cyrus hands his longspear to Eitylen.

Brother Cyrus |

"Well...we can either look for that beast while we're down here or head back up and tell that guard we cleared the rubble out."

GM Lemmy |

I blame Rynjin for not being a telepath!
The light is faint, but consistent. Whatever is generating it does so continuously, but is some distance away. Probably less than a 100 ft. though.
Directly below the hole where the light comes from, a small pile of corpses is slowly dragged away by the now flowing water.
EDIT: I just noticed the description of the room can be interpreted two different ways. Let me clarify: the floor and walls are covered in vines and purple goo, there are no vines blocking the way or going from wall to wall, although there are a few "lumps" of vine and goo in a few places. These lumps are slightly bigger than a dog. The ceiling has no vines, except for a few inches from where it meets the walls.

Brother Cyrus |

Brother Cyrus summons a small burst of flame which Cyrus pantomimes it burning the vines for them.
Summon Monster 2, Small Fire Elemental.

GM Lemmy |

The elemental walks a few feet. Its heat doesn't seem to bother the vines, at least not at first.
Not 10ft into the room, the fire creature sees itself suddenly grappled by a pair of barbed vines that lash from the floor and into its legs (or whatever it uses to walk).
Oops, forgot this.
grapple: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Okay, it's grappled... But just barely oO
burn: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Yeah, the vines barely notice the elemental's flames.

Brother Cyrus |

The Fire Elemental flails wildly in a raging rage.
Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Burn: 1d4 ⇒ 2

GM Lemmy |

The vines try to constrict the elemental even tighter, hurting it in the process.
Constrict: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Eitylen's bomb doesn't free the outsider, but causes some damage to the vines. At the same time, a guttural grunt can be heard. It comes from under the pile of corpses at the center of the room.
The dead bodies are hurled away, in their place stands a odd-looking creature. Similar to the monsters you fought moment ago, but still very different. It's body is covered by dark purple goo. Vines entangle its tentacles, and legs, creating twisted limbs. The eyed-tentacle has no more eyes, just a number of empty orbits that secrete the same vile substance.
The creature's moves are erratic and heavy, but the vines on the ground don't seem to hamper its movements in any way.
Eitylen: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Tai Leng: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Mound Creature: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Well... It seems it's everyone, then the creature. Tai Leng goes first this time.
BTW, Rynjin. Can you access googledocs from your phone? If you can I'll post a picture of the Roll20 map for you.

Tai Leng |

Leng covers his hand in fire and electricity, then moves in on the creature.
Shocking Grasp Elemental Fist Power Attack gooooooooooo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 10 + 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 10 + (1, 3, 2) + (6) = 27

GM Lemmy |

Tai Leng charges through the vines and delivers a solid hit to the deadly creature. The energy flows through his hand and into the monster's body.
The monster grunts in pain, doing its best to protect itself from the flames. The incoming electrical charge, however, doesn't seem to faze it.
The area with vines is considered difficult terrain, BTW. Luckily for Tai Leng, Dragon Style means he doesn't give a s@#$!

Brother Cyrus |

Brother Cyrus beseeches the gods for their blessing and casts...Bless!
The Fire Elemental flails at the vines holding it.
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Burn: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Eitylen |

Eytilen runs to join Tai leng in melee. Before he enteres the room he jumps to avoid as much dificult terrain as posible
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Stab: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 201d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
=========
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
To avoid the AoO

GM Lemmy |

It seems Tai Leng provokes an AoO from the monster.
AoO: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Right after the elf lands, the creature creatures takes another bite of Ti Leng while simultaneously flailing its tentacles against Eitylen.
Bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Crit Confirm : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Tentacle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 4) + 4 = 13
Tentacle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
That's 19 damage to Tai Leng (ouch!) and 13 to Eitylen. Tai Leng also must make a Fort saving throw.
The vines constrict Brother Cyrus' elemental one last time before being burned away.
Constrict: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Tai Leng |

Leng screams in pain, but stays standing. He strikes at the creature again, however, determining it may be his only chance of survival.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Fack off dice.

Brother Cyrus |

Brother Cyrus steps forward and unleashes a burst of healing power.
"May the bone mend and the wound unrent!"
Channel Energy: 2d10 + 3 ⇒ (8, 1) + 3 = 12
