Level 2 Human Barbarian Mental Case

I am not going to be to descriptive. Got alot going on but I want to progress the story

there is no pawn placement token for Bucket. So please place me accordingly

All the while Bucket had stopped talking the moment the group was confronted. As the water enshrouds one of the pirates Bucket (snatches, moves, engages) another of the pirates to get him in a headlock and use the scurvy knave to negotiate a proper outcome

Bucket is not enraged yet
Grapple CM: 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 3 = 6

Bucket reaches for the soggy wet pirate who was just douched. But the wetness combined with the pirates natural stink oil afforded him no purchase upon the head in which to lock.

Oh Damn... says Bucket loudly.

A Guttural, Primal howl followed by a vicious snarl erupts from Bucket as his instincts for rage and death take over. Just before he turned primal a deep pain ripped across his body. But that doesn't matter. The pain is gone, it must not have happened. His cutlass is aimed at the bastard who swung at him last. Driving his blade forward:

Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 1 + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

The rage inside Bucket, the Anger, he knows he needs some control. Even in this state he is aware that his hilt probably did more damage to that future corpse than the cut of his blade.. but what does it matter.. in the end this pirate will die... they all will..

You walk a few hundred yards inland and find a small village. There is a large pub on a boardwalk built over the sand here. Inside, besides what you'd expect from a pirate bar, you see all kinds of things:

1. On the east wall a man with a blackboard is taking bets on the day's lizard race. The lizards and their riders are listed. One lizard named 'Jambo-Jambo' does not have a rider and the owner of that lizard is arguing with the booky that his lizard should not be removed from the race.
2. On the west wall is the bar. Rows upon rows of dirty bottles line the walls behind the barkeep. Pirates at the bar are talking of rumors of treasure to be had all over the shackles. DC12 perception check to listen in, or DC12 Diplomacy checks to talk to the pirates.
3. Chained up and hanging from the roof over your head is the decayed carcass of a mermaid, it's skin and scales blackened with mummification. It's eye sockets are blank, the eyes having rotted away years ago. DC15 perception to notice more. Or DC13 Knowledge to know more about mermaids. DC10 survival or related to know what happened to this mermaid.
4. A giant creature with the body of a walrus and the head of an orca sits on a dias on the north side of the room. Chained to him is a young black lady. She is very attractive but scantily clad. She is being made to dance for the creature who laughs and pulls her closer now and then for a 'kiss'. DC12 sense motive check to know more.
5. Pirates are playing pirate-poker at one table in the center of the room. There are chairs empty. DC12 diplomacy to join the game. Or DC17 intimidation.

As always, other checks are available to you as well. You can do whatever you want.

He doesn't attempt to remember anything about mermaids in general and doesn't notice anything peculiar, but his healing abilities do help him see a large incision runs down the tail of this mermaid from belly button to fin. Someone was curious about it's anatomy. Maybe they wondered if there were legs in there after all. In any case, a top notch taxidermist sewed the poor creature back up. The most horrible thought that occurs to ix is whether the mermaid was already dead when this terrible autopsy was performed *shiver*

The particular mermaid must have been netted because other than the incision, there are no other wounds. Ghiv can also tell that this mermaid was hung here alive, and that she died slowly as her amphibious body dried out. A most gruesome death for an aquatic creature. If that fat whale of a thing sitting on the dias is to blame for this, he is truly a menace. Ghiv may be surprised because he has never heard of anyone actually capturing a mermaid. Usually it's the other way around: they lure sailors away and those sailors are never seen again.

Bucket realizes that Calin is joking and laughs heartily with a firm clap on the half elf's back.

Bucket is not concerned with some fake road side attraction hanging from the ceiling. Whatever this islands crowd likes for clutter is no concern of his. However, there are two things bothering him.

First, what is their new Captain playing at. The note, the gold, the odd welcoming committee. It's not sitting well with him. Neither is that rotten stew he made. That must be the problem with his current fighting prowess.

Second, that girl on a chain is really starting to piss him off. It's hard to concentrate on the problem at hand when a mockery of your child hood is being displayed grotesquely before you. He can't help but study the situation.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

Whatever is going on there is something he might have to deal with before he can move on.
