Girzog slowly releases the man, "accidentally" doing so in a slightly painful manner.

He nods to the party, indicating to let them leave.

Assuming they leave, he asks

Alright, there's obviously a little more to this... arrangement you have with them, than you said before. Now that they are gone, what's going on? We have our own business to attend to here, but I see no reason to ignore an obvious problem.

Once the three interlopers depart, Ostrogard sheathes his dagger and walks over to where the others are talking to Sinzer.

What sort of medicine would you need that you can't make yourself, and for such a steep price?, Ostrogard asks.

Butharn wanders the shop perusing the wares and keeping his ears open, but saying nothing.

Kardiv places a gentle hand on his advisory, which relieves some of the head trauma that had just occurred. Staggered, the man slowly backs away from the heavily armed paladin.

Girzog slowly releases the customer from his talon, while allowing the sharpness of his nail to rake across the man’s throat.

Agreeing to leave peacefully, all three men seem very concerned about leaving empty handed, as they make their way out the main door. You catch one of them saying, ”Lura’s going to kill us”, as the three men head down the street.

Butharn begins looking through the displayed alchemical wears. He comes across bottles labeled in names that he has never heard of before. (Hydrochloric acid), (Antimony trichloride), (Zinc oxide), (Acqueous ammonia), and many more. The teak wood shelves, along the center of the room, display hard goods and alchemical tools of the trade. The dwarf also comes across a few finished products which includes Spirit of salt, spirit of hartshorn, bismuth glance, lunar caustic, and more.

Sinzer wipes his brow and wrings his hands in his leather apron. “Thank you, Pathfinders! I’ve been expecting you ever since I stopped contact. Tragic illness grips my poor son, Roald, and a woman named Lura Ichon claimed to have a cure. I signed away my entire operation to the heartless wench to cure my son, but the elixirs she sends every day are diluted with cheap rum to the point of being almost useless. In exchange she’s worked me sunup to sundown manufacturing drugs for her little den of vice, the Sanguine Pit."

“I know she found a real cure for my boy—tiny amounts of it in those elixirs she sends keep him from getting worse—but I can’t march into that bar of hers and demand it. And as soon as she learns what you did to her men, she’ll kill me and Roald, as sure as you’re standing here. I want to help you, really I do, but I gave the Society everything I had for three years. Now, I need you to return the favor. If you want any help supporting your excavation, I need that cure for my son, and some guarantee that Lura Ichon won’t dump us in the bay the moment you leave.”

The alchemist turns to Ostrogard with a very concerned look on his face. "I’m not exactly sure what the disease is. The healers can’t seem to cure it, and no chemical compound that I have tried has had any effect on it. The only thing I have seen that has had any affect at all, is the tonic Lura sends."

I hate to ask, but is it possible that this Lura has poisoned your son, and what she is giving is small doses of antidote? I assume that a qualified alchemist like your self has probably checked this, but am asking out of an abundance of caution.

My thoughts exactly, Butharn. Anyone as cruel as to drag you along like this could just as easily cause the problem herself to come in as your savior with a cure. The least we can do for your assistance to the Society is take care of this... menace. We'll need any and all information you have about thus Ichon woman and her Sanguine Pit.

The alchemist glances at Butharn. "Such a thing has occurred to me. If it is poison, its one that I haven't heard of, and is fare beyond my ability to cure. Besides, the symptoms act more like a disease than a poison."

Sinzer give specific instructions on how to reach the Sanguine Pit.

It is now marked on the Bloodcove map.

"The Sanguine Pit is a local bar,den as you may, that caters to exotic animal fights and supplying the local population with drugs. The owner, Lura Ichon, runs the establishment. I have only been there once, so I have very limited information. Lura is a somewhat attractive woman with light colored hair. It shouldn't be difficult to find here, she tends to be the focus of attention, in the bar."

After considering his situation the man begins to weep. "I hate Bloodcove, its all but killed my son. It has taken everything that I have worked so hard for. Please help me."

Still waiting on a couple more Disguise or Intimidate checks. We can move forward, those rolls can be included as we go. Sounds like the group is moving to the Sanguin Pit.

The sun slowly makes its retreat, yielding relentlessly to the more submissive moon. The day’s residual light becomes a soft orange glow, which reflects of the tide of the sea. The group makes its way along the shoreline that leads to the Sanguine Pit.

Freshly lit lanterns hang from the outside of a poorly maintained building. The entrance, which opens to the main street, appears to have no rest from the constant traffic of the establishment’s clientele. Loud cheers can be heard as you approach the building.

After closing in on the place, you observe a back entrance to the building. It sits off to one side and is tucked away behind part of the outer wall. A boardwalk pear running along the side of the building leads to the rundown face of the back entrance.

There's two doors? Only one thing you can do at a time like this, and it has never gone wrong before. SPLIT THE PARTY

I think the front door may be better. We aren't exactly here for a cup of tea, it may say something that our plan was to just walk right in not caring if we were noticed. What better way to start a... heated discussion, than to show that we aren't afraid?

Not to mention, the worst case scenario for each choice is noticeably different. The front, worst case is we disable the guards and show our strength immediately. The back, worst case she isn't in the mood for talking, and we get pinned down from both ends of a small pier. Ideally no combat takes place here. If it does, I don't want the disadvantage. If it doesn't, I'd rather not be seen as sneaking in already planning to cause trouble.

(Note) The Sanguin Pit is packed with people. Fare more than I can place images on the map. I have added some images for effect, but it doesn’t come close to the number in the place. Current headcount is somewhere around 80 people.

The Sanguin Pit

The clamor of cheers and shouted bets drowns out any intelligible sounds in this large, crowded bar. A massive aquarium, fifteen feet on a side, dominates the room as a dog-sized creature and a dark green, man-sized fish with fanged jaws circle one another, occasionally trading blows. Heady, pungent smoke fills the air, and the floor is slick with spilled drinks and seawater.

Near the central tank stands a well-dressed and well-rounded woman with light colored hair. Towering over her, at seven feet tall, stands her idealized, Amazonian reflection. Both women bear a curious glowing rune on their foreheads. The bookies clearly defer to the smaller woman, and everyone keeps their distance from her glamorous bodyguard.

As you enter the establishment, a young serving girl greats you. “Welcome to the Sanguin Pit. May I get you a table?” The young lady doesn’t seem to have any idea who you are, or why you are there.

The crowed is thick, making it difficult to discern who is a patron of the establishment and who is not. After a moment, you catch sight of the three men, (Customer Green), (Customer Purple), (Customer Yellow), who were at Senzer's shop. While standing next to the woman and her double, the three men seem to be discussing something in a heated manner. It doesn’t take long before one of them spots your group and points you out. Without hesitation, the smaller of the two women begins shouting in your direction.

“So, it seems that roughing up my boys at the alchemist’s shop wasn’t enough. I am assuming you came here looking for a fight.” As the woman announces the word fight, the crowed begins to disperse into a ring around the aquarium and yourselves. The crowed begins shouting and cheering as the prospect of a fight becomes a possibility.

“What say you? Are you up for a scrap?” Immediately after the last announcement, the bar’s bookies begin taking wagers and shuffling pouches of coin.

As soon as Lura intervenes, the serving girl quickly moves away. Most of the group waits patiently at the front door as Lura offers up her table to Girzog and Jinhong, who sit and make themselves comfortable. “I expect you are here in regards to Senzer the alchemist.” Lura says while retrieving a glass from the nearby table. “No need to be uncivil though. Could I get you anything to drink?” As the discussion continues, the smaller woman retrieves a vile from her pouch and pours its contents into the drinking glass.

While standing nearby, the much larger version of Lura observes the conversation with a blank expression on her face, whereas the three men from the alchemical shop wait patiently nearby.

The smaller Lura turns to watch the two creatures in the aquarium indulge the crowd by slowly tearing each other up. “Senzer’s situation is quite unfortunate indeed. His poor boy has been sick for quite a long time. I have been able to keep him alive, but I lack enough of the remade to fully cure him. Worse yet, anytime I seem to build up enough of the agent to have any real impact, I have to dispense a portion of it to keep him alive.”

Jinny does her best to keep her tone diplomatic.

It is an interesting situation. What can you tell us about the disease? You know enough about it to formulate a remedy. Perhaps Master Senzer -- who is, after all, an alchemist himself -- could help you to find the ingredients.

She steals a glance at the large Lura, standing impassively nearby, having never seen an Eidolon before.

Perhaps we can help you secure enough raw materials to complete the cure. Because I can tell from his demeanor that your profitable relationship with Senzer will end soon unless his boy is cured. You have extracted as much out of him as you ever will.

Girzog stays quiet for the moment, a little confused as to where Jinny is going with her comments.

Does she... actually plan to help this woman...

Lura swirls her glass a bit, watching its contents twist and turn. “I’m afraid that my profits with the alchemist have only begun.” With her last comment, she drinks down the contents of the glass and vanishes from sight. In her visual absence, you hear one final statement. “KILL THEM.”

With the political engagement obviously concluded, the crowed begins to separate. The patrons quickly form a crowd around the inner perimeter of the room. The crowd becomes so alarmingly thick, that it makes movement through them difficult. Shouts of excitement and wagers ring out as the bar becomes reinvigorated with bloodlust.

Any square within (5) foot of a customer or serving girl becomes difficult terrain. It costs double the normal movement to move through or past any patron of the establishment.

You may find that that is easier said than done.

And with that, Jinny springs nimbly to the tabletop

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

and slashes at Lura with her scimitar.

Scimitar, higher ground: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Wish I could swap those d20 rolls. :-(

@GM Are there any chandeliers, tapestries, torch sconces, etc., within reach? As a swashbuckler, I'm legally obligated to swing from a chandelier at least once per adventure or I lose my union benefits. ;-)

Initiative Round (1)
(Bold may post an action.)

Jinhong (-16 Lethal) (Unconscious and bleeding)
Thug Yellow
Jura (Blue)
Thug (Green)
Lura (Orange)
Girzog (-15 Lethal)
Kardive
Butharn
Ostrogard
Thug (Purple) (-6 Lethal)

If you intend to attack Lura (Orange), who is invisible, you need to indicate which square you are attempting to attack. You can indicate this with the document tools in google docs. You can attempt a perception check to identify which square she is currently in. if you are sucessful you will know which square to attack but will still suffer a 50% (Low misses) miss chance. Orange=(Edilon Lura), Blue =(Invisible Lura). Also, you may move through tables and chairs without impediment. I will assume that it takes very little energy to kick them out of the way.

On Lura’s command the three thugs perk up with excitement. Quickly the (Yellow) thug moves to the side of Girzog while drawing his scimitar. The unprepared Tengu looks up to his right and sees the man barreling down on him with deadly intent.

(Attack) Yellow vs Girzog: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 (Flatfooted)
(Damage) Yellow vs Girzog: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Meanwhile the seven foot tall Lura, steps up and takes two fisted swings at Gurzog and Jinhong.

(Attack) Orange Lura vs Girzog: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 (Flatfooted)
(Damage) Lura Orange vs Girzog: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

(Attack) Orange Lura vs Jinhong: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
(Damage) Lura Orange vs Jinhong: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Without delay the (Green) thug moves forward, while drawing a scimitar, and takes a one handed swing at the swashbuckler on the table.

(Attack) Green vs Jinhong): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
(Damage) Green vs Jinhong: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Unfortunately for you, your boss is a cowardice whore, and you're the first to go.

At the sudden outbreak of violence, Ostrogard dashes forward, weaving through the crowded common room floor toward the melee.
