Yeah, I don't usually like to dump any stat, preferring a more well-rounded character, and I pondered the 8 Cha for a while before doing it. But Trekos will get some Intimidate boost as I level up - and perhaps he'll learn to be intimidating as well...

This has been a lot of fun so far, ready to get moving again after the long weekend slow-down in all my PbPs.

female human commoner 1

Sadly, the slowdown here is going to probably ease after NEXT weekend. Work has snuck up and gone from meh to oh-my-god-help!!! on me.

Ah well, real life happens. I mostly wanted to express appreciation for this campaign. It's a cool idea for a setting and I'm looking forward to where it goes.

Anyone into heavy metal... circa 1980?

Only tangentially. Though I did buy Blizzard of Ozz right around then. If I had to guess, I'd say you made a Slayer reference - but it'd be a guess.

Dio, Egypt (the chains are on)

In the land of the lost horizon
Where the queen lies dark and cold
When the stars won't shine,
then the story's told

When the world was milk and honey
And the magic was strong and true
Then the strange ones came and the people knew

That the chains are on

In the land of no tomorrow
Where you pray just to end each day
And your life just slowly melts away

Each day you hear the sand as it moves and whispers
Come and sail on my golden sea
Maybe one day you'll be just like me...
and that's free

But still your chains are on

You've seen them walking on the water
You've seen flying through the sky
They were frightening in the darkness
They had rainbows in their eyes

When the world was milk and honey
And the magic was strong and true
The the strange ones came and the people knew

That the chains are on

Yeah, even in my occasional dabblings in metal (my college room-mate ran heavy metal programming at the college radio station, so I was exposed to a lot), I never took to Dio.

But to each his own. At least it's a nicely relevant song.

Relevant is a good word... song is sorta spooky/ballad. Mood music.

Lights a torch against the darkness... knowing, it will be a beacon for the unholy...

@Nylissa - is the workload lightening up any? I'm very much hoping this will keep going.
