Gwen's blow slides off the creature.
The things stroke out with a bite at the nearest foes.

Anyone hit needs to make a DC13 fort save, or be paralysed for 1d6 minutes.
Everyone up (may as well include Gwen's Round 2 action).
Rojerick Alandsson
Roj steps north and to the east, swinging his shield at the creature across the creature threatening Eric in an attempt to move it to the left. Then, he drops his scimitar and reaches for his morningstar.
Reposition: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Five-Foot-Step, Standard Action: Reposition (provokes AoO from the monster threatening Eric), Free Action: Drop Scimitar, Move Action: Draw Morningstar. Trying to open an area for Eric to either cast or flee to the party, or both.

Basil Kettering
Basil attacks the one closest to him.

Basil brings his greatsword down with terrible effect, chips of bone scatter everywhere. The hit doesn't do quite the damage you would expect though.
Bordan hews at the thing in a similar way, connecting but not getting quite the strike he'd hoped.
Eric's stone doesn't seem to have much effect, but it does hit the thing.
Roj manouvers around the one attacking him, easily avoiding it's strike.
Round 2, gwen

Gwen's strike glances off the thing, which stikes back at Basil. The other two move in to attack Eric and Roj.

As everyone fails to hit anything at all, Basil suddenly stops moving.
For 1d6 ⇒ 5 minutes.

Eric's flames wash over the thing that keeps attacking him, but they don't cause the damage he'd hoped.
Gwen
Guinevere "Gwen" Duchamp
Cursing loudly at the sight of a paralysed Basil, Gwen attacks her closest enemy with everything she's got:
Power attack w/greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 1 = 222d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (5, 2) + 4 + 3 = 14
Don't know which map is the correct one, please move Gwen if needed.
Edit: not that it makes any difference given the fort roll, but is Basil's fort save really just +1?

Latest map is the highest number, 17 as far as I can see.
Gwen takes out the thing attacking her Basil and Bordan with a clean swipe. It drops to the floor as a collection of bones. The other two continue to try to bite their opponents, moving as needed.
Atk Roj: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Atk Eric: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Edit: not that it makes any difference given the fort roll, but is Basil's fort save really just +1?
Absolutely not, but as Basil is refusing to level up to 3rd with the rest of you, it's how it stands at the moment....

Fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Roj feels the thing's bite start to have an effect on him, but the divine gift of Sarenrae helps him to shrug it off. He once again brings his weapons to bear on the creature before him, this time making contact with his morningstar, though the shield goes wide.
Morningstar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

EDIT: I'm glad the effective creature is attacking me instead of Eric, since I have a fortitude save...
Erik Copper
Eric's eyes go wide as his sheet of magical flame do little to harm the skull, and with panic begining to gnaw at him, he simply takes a five foot step south and unleashes a sling stone at the distant skull.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Bordans swing clangs to the wall next to the thing, missing it. Roj takes a good swing at the one attacking, and collides with it, knocking it back a few inches. Eric's stone just misses the one chasing him.
Gwen

Gwen moves ahead and attacks the next enemy on her path:

Yup, I'm back but I can only post before and after work. Apparently the waiting helps with my rolls so it might be a blessing in disguise :-)

This time, Roj is ready for the poison, even if the thing's fangs still hurt. He hefts his morningstar and smashes the creature, but misses with his shield.

Seeing how the enemies seem to fall like autumn leaves before her, Gwen rushes ahead and strikes the last one standing with all her rage:
Power attack w/greatsword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 1 = 92d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 + 3 = 17
but the sweat on her hands makes her grip slippery and so she fails to land the crucial blow.
Rojerick Alandsson
Roj reels back from the creature's bite, turning the motion into a wheeling swing with his morningstar. The spiked ball flies over his head, crashing down on the creature with a satisfying *WHOMP*. He tries to follow it with his shield, but with no success.

Roj brings another blow crashing down on the creature, as Eric backs away. Bordan tries to bring his spear into play, but fails to get the small thing. Gwen then brings her sword crashing through the middle of it, to finally stop it.
End of combat.
Dr5/bludgeoning doesn't look much, but bloody hell it draws combats out!

Gwen wipes off the sweat from her forehead
"Well done guys. Can anybody do anything to help Basil there?"
then she starts searching the place:

Rojerick Alandsson
Roj pokes petri-Basil in the chest a couple of times. "I can do nothing for him. We can wait and hope he thaws eventually, or we can move on. I say we wait, but if it lasts too long, we have a job to do."
