Here's the discussion thread everybody.
Let's try to post daily if not once every 2 days. I want to keep events moving as much as everybody else. Remember, if we are in combat, if you don't in 48 hours after the enemies go, I reserve the right to act for your PC.
Again, no OOC remarks here or in gameplay. Definitely no tactical information to be shared that your character wouldn't know. Keep in combat talk reasonable in duration.
Battle Map: I'm going to link the battle map to the top of the Gameplay page. I will keep it as current as possible. Keeping it perma-linked there will make it easier to reference I think.
New PC information: Durnolf, you have a sister and a niece that lives in town. Your niece is coming of age as a woman. You can name them if you want or go with Danellia and Mathilda.
It is the party's understanding that the caravan is here to provide festivities for the completion of the Quest for the Everflame. The only thing the Vudrani know is that its some local tradition that celebrates the coming of winter.
If you haven't done so, please update your characters to level 2. If you have Hero Lab, please send me your updated PC file to my name @ yahoo.
Here is a link to the old thread. I'll deactivate it in a couple weeks once we've all transferred over.
That's it for now. Let's see who's ready to pay the Price for Immorality.

Liz, a heads up on your PC. You are at medium encumbrance, and that's not even including your artisan tools. Of course, without your tools, you are at -2 to all crafting skills. I have you at 64 lbs with what you are carrying. Light encumbrance is 33 lb. Keep this is mind if you plan on carrying all this gear.
Also you have 1 too many languages as well.

Me too. I'm just hoping the hobbits are making their rounds at the movie premiers (3:40 today for me!)
Liz, you are still encumbered quite a bit. Keep in mind that your weapons and armor alone are 26 lbs out of 33 lbs. I don't have a problem with it if you don't.
Aldous, let's see that second level sheet!

It's typically a move action to drop/remove worn gear.
If you are feeling extra paranoid, tie your heavy stuff in a hobo-bundle and tote it over your shoulder on a stick.
Then it's a free action to drop it.

To answer Liz's question, it is a move action, but you need a hand free Ms. Duel Wielder. Naked would have been fine in Kaer Maga, here . . . who knows.
Aldous, you too are encumbered. I have you at 30lbs in gear. Also, since you took a rank in Linguistics, you get an extra language to learn.
Garuneh is a bit encumbered too, but I believe that is just his coins

Aldous Mor'esti |

All righty, moved stuff around.
For now, Durnolf & Ruckus have my food, water, & rope.
4 pounds for tanglefoot bag seems crazy but it's all good. Anyone want that?
Should be down to 23 lbs carried weight now. If b necessary, I'll haul the heavy stuff in my backpack and expect to drop it like Elizabeth.

Any sign of Durnolf?
Say, Neb, what's our IC explanation for Tina's disappearance? Or is she 'expunged'? (suddenly thinking of...what's it called from Wheel of Time...balefire. Oh, those stupid books...)

Garuneh Lasandarman |

I was also wondering--what did we miss in the Godsmouth? Can we get the moviespoiler version of the rest of it? I don't think I'd go back to run the rest ever, so I don't mind a spoilerating.
Which reminds me, I can never click on a Rise of da Runelords or Kingmaker thread. People spoilerate away all the time!

Tina was so quiet most of the time, the rest of the party hardly realized she was gone until now. Such an impactful figure in decision making and storyline =vp .
She was encapsulated by the great blue bubble of doom. Legends speak of the Blue Bubble whenever the Old Gods known as D.M. is angered.
Or Balefire, what ever works for you.
Honestly, there wasn't much else in Godsmouth for you. You guys kept passing a set of double doors that go into a library. In the library you can find a key that opens the stone doors in the beginning. Then in the greatroom there was a secret door behind each statue, but each statue was trapped. In the secret rooms was a various number of minor challenges.
All in all, you didn't miss much. Maybe a little bit more treasure and a little bit more XP, but nothing of any note.
One thing I never got off were the creeping hands in the pile of corpses. Nobody got close enough so that I could spring them on you.
I have PM'ed Durnolf. I really hope he returns. I'll give him until after the holidays, then we can look at other options.
On something completely unrelated: Miss Chances. This came up on another game.
You guys roll it when you roll your to hit. The number which is concerned a miss is the Percentage of Miss Chance or lower. So a 20% miss chance is a 1 to 20 on a d100, 50% miss chance is 1 to 50 on a d100. Make sense?

OK, Durnolf's main posted last night, so at least he's alive. I sent him a PM but no response, yet. I do hope he returns.
If he doesn't return/respond, what do ya'll want to do? Look for a new "warrior" PC, go with 4 or bring in an NPC to fill the void.
Also, Gunder, you around? It's been awhile since we've seen yah.

I'm going to go ahead and put out feelers to get you guys a front-liner. If Durnolf comes back, I can always close out the Recruitment. After the holidays, I'm hoping we can get into a quicker pace of posting. Lulls are the death-knells of PbP games.
Otherwise, feel free to talk amongst yourselves while in the tavern. I'll get you on the road by the end of the week, if not sooner depending on the outcome of my search.

Ok, there is a post on the Recruitment page. Go ahead and look at the different applicants. Feel free to either post here or PM me with any insight on any of the PCs or recommendations of who you like. I already have some thoughts of those that have presently posted. But I would like to hear what you have to say since this is your game too.
If we don't hear back from Durnolf by the end of the week, I'll go ahead and make a decision for us. One way or another we'll get things going by the weeks end.
Happy New Year & Foundation Day, everybody!
