"We can sell whatever is left and use the money to pay our surviving men and send the pay of those who died to their respective families."

Which reminds me... How much do we owe to each mercenary?

"To be honest, I'm glad mine's dead. Couldn't get the bastard to stop talking about how guilty he was for being talked into visiting such a 'house of ill repute'. Didn't even have the decency to do me while he whined so I could tune him out." she rolls her eyes.

You get a bunch of similarly inane or callous things from most of the other working girls. They're not particularly bothered by the deaths.

Some of the patrons, on the other hand, are a bit more distressed. You overhear a couple of wealthy merchants talking.

"Terrible, simply atrocious. The Guard's really cracking down now, and it's TERRIBLE for business. How am I supposed to get my contraband into the city now?"

Why the men whom I could use my assets to steal/blackmail are always ugly as f@#? hell? - Jo thinks with disgust. Then she realize that contraband could be a lucrative job, but also it could be she could black mail the contrabandist. Jo then return looking for Korak.

I kid, of course.

Korak spends the days following Charles death giving the extra pay to the families of the men who were killed in action and paying for the funeral arrangements (If no one wants to share the bill, Korak uses his share of the loot. I have no idea how much funeral arrangements cost, but the extra pay I give to the families is the same amount the men got upfront when they enlisted. To kill two birds with one stone, I hire the Cleric who went with us into Charles HQ to take care of the necessary arrangements, this way we can tighten the bonds between us, the Mandrigal and the Church of Pharasma).

I'm thinking of giving these families (and whatever community they are part of) a way to contact us if they need, but without sharing too much information about us. This way we can start a Godfather thing, which is why I thought about giving name to our group... Maybe just ask our contacts to pay attention to whatever woes afflict these communities, so we can help them and create a solid ground for our future endeavor as Kingpins of the Underworld. ;). I'll think of something, but I do accept suggestions!

"You know, Tiny... Isn't it odd how Obsidian Guard associates seem to be have particularly bad luck in this city? It's also really unfortunate that the OG's problems always end up causing pain and misery to this lovely society... I think we should (anonymously point those facts out to some community leaders. Do you happen to know anyone who talks to such leaders?"

i.e.: Can you use Bluff/Diplomacy/Whatever to spread disdain and ill-will towards the Obsidian Guard? It shouldn't be too difficult, if they are even more vicious than usual. And we can do it with just gossip and informal Tavern discussion, whcih means we don't even have to show our (real) faces to do it. I'm sure that can ferment some discontent among the general populace.

Hurray for Portuguese being so freaking similar to Spanish that I can understand most of it even though I haven't spoken Spanish in a long time. ("quebrantar" in Portuguese is "quebrar"). :D. Sadly, even after all these years, I still speak every language with my original accent, and whenever I'm finally starting to, I visit my family and it all goes back to square one. -.-'. I like to think it makes me sound "exotic", but it probably just sounds freaking weird. LOL.

Anyway, back to rogue'ing in Madrigal:

Okay, 16 of them died, right? So that's 240gp, plus whatever costs their funerals... I suppose a simple funeral shouldn't cost more 1gp, but let's say we spend 5gp on each to ensure the clerics make a good job with their final blessings (hopefully, they'll add a nice no-undead guarantee as a bonus ;)).
