Unfortunately for the oven Miranda is somewhat fireproof (which I also should probably include somewhere in my statline :P). Fatigued even if all fire damage is resisted?
I would tend to say "fire" was actually a mistake on my part since it's more of a psychic backlash, experiencing being burned alive from his point of view.
Luckily, you already know the rules for lucid dreaming: DC 13 Charisma check to negate both the damage and the fatigue, by maintaining your fire resistance. If you fail that, a open-ended concentration check vs DC 15...each point you exceed this by lets you use one point of fire resistance to negate the psychic backlash(again, negating the fatigue if you manage to negate all the damage)
I'm all fine with your racial resistance coming into play, but considering it's not REALLY fire, not as a freebie. :)

Erp the dice were not nice. But of all the things to roll low on, that didn't seem too bad (yet :P)
GM Mordred
Aye, it's just nonlethal, too. Much worse things to get bad rolls on.
Apologies for mis-stating the nature of damage at first. I didn't really consider resistance playing a role and just went with what seemed most "thematic", rather than most logical.
Boros Black-Hand
I can't wait to see how this resolves. Is the gnome a vicious psycho killer, and the Livery haunted by his victims? Or is it all a really complex smokescreen on the part of some rebels hiding in a basement or something?
GM Mordred
Seems you wait a bit longer...
Just fell asleep at computer while writing update. I locally saved what little I managed and will continue tomorrow -_-
Work REALLY bad right now(did I mention we had a deadline on tuesday...yeah, well, we didn't make it)- all better in about 1-2 weeks, though.
Miranda Greenblossom
We can wait.
While "moar posts now!" is tempting, the GM care-guide said it is important to let them rest so they can yield lots of posts and plot in the future! :3
(Also I hope your work situation works out soon - and well : ) )
Boros Black-Hand
We'll just amuse ourselves here in the discussion thread :D.
Nissim Siverto
I've moved Juliette and Miranda on the map to more or less where I think they would now be. Sorry to move other people's tokens, but Juliette is out at the moment it seems, and Miranda was in her way.
As much as anything I did it to make sure that I'm understanding current Livery, PC, and NPC locations. I'm not 100% sure and feeling just a mite lost.. :)
Boros Black-Hand
Miranda, Boros, and Varuzhan are in that wooden shed at the back.
Everyone else is in the gated room.
GM Mordred
Updated the map moving everybody :) You guys are lazy in doing so. Juliette and Nissim are in the southern room(you checked the southern wall's blood flow so entered the room), Miranda is in the oven, Boros and Varuzhan next to it. Lily and Rexus are waiting there,(Gnome went into room and back out after hearing the sound, on his way back to the food but not in a hurry)
GM Mordred
Feel free to take your time discussing or considering. I'll be travelling tomorrow night(after work), and then again(back) the day after, for a trip to HQ in another city.
I am certain I cannot do a larger update tomorrow, but hope I can do so in about 48 hours(I'll try but no guarantees if I am too tired after all the work and travel by car).
So just a heads-up that there's no need to hurry and/or time to talk amount yourself, also before moving out again(just tag such posts/post parts with ------Before, during the Meeting------ or something like that-)
GM Mordred
@Miranda: Yes, the bleeding wall ignores your attempt at communication.
@Varuzhan: Assuming Nissim told you about the grinding noise he heard from that direction basically inmediately after Miranda turned the key, you would probably assume "a few minutes ago"(considering you took time to check some rooms again and get everybody up to speed in the shed.
@Nissim: As said, not wasted, plenty of time left on the spell.
Miranda Greenblossom
I'm sad to admit that Miranda doesn't own anything that gives light - nor does she have any spells for it at the moment. (Dancing) Light(s) should be in her spellbook, but she didn't prepare them!
(Read/Detect Magic + Prestidigitation seemed more useful! And on the Occultist side she's limited by her schools. Also Mage Hand/Ghost Sound are very nice to be able to cast without Verbal/Somatic components : ) )
GM Mordred
Fun. I am aware neither of you darkvision-guys really prepared for the need of light.
Alas, it would seem you checked your options again. And either totally missed something, or need to get your sheet in order. ^_^
Languages Common, Halfling, Infernal, Gnome, Dwarven, Elven
Just for the record, it was Dwarven to begin with, but I checked to see if ANYBODY could read it, and would have possibly picked a different language if not.
Boros Black-Hand
This lack of light is discrimination against the differently-sensory. I'll be contacting Golarion's ACLU chapter to examine my options going forward.
:p.
Boros Black-Hand
You know what, I'm just dumb >.<
Don't feel bad. I forgot Boros has Dwarven as well...

Not that you could read with the amount of light there, though...
Miranda Greenblossom
Miranda could have described the runes and have him guess!
"The first one looks sorta like a cart but with skiis. Then there is one that looks like a clown-bear and then ..."

-.-
I can't help but think Boros would be better off trying to read in the dark.
Boros Black-Hand
Juliette is best spellcaster!
Boros Black-Hand
Oh, we do! Totally. But there's something horrid lurching up those stairs, it's dark, and Juliette is bringing a light. So, yeah...
:D
Miranda Greenblossom
My genre sense is tingling; I suspect the gnome and the slime will duke it out and we should pick a side. Now I'm not sure if "crazy gnome" or "crazy slime" would be our best friends ... But it seems as if we are in a little rush to figure out a bit more of the plot before things go down!
Now I suspect we have been given enough pieces to put things together, just not sure how... But that earlier suggested theory of "gnome murdered someone" does seem more and more appealing!
Thoughts?
Nissim Siverto
While I'm not convinced that the gnome is being straight with us, I'm actually less sure now than before. I was assuming that something was haunting the place, and that it would be fixated on a purpose (revenge, protection, etc.) Limited in it's ability to interact so less likely to be manipulative.
But the gnome mentioned something being bound, which would imply a planar creature. If that's that it is instead, it could be very tricky. That's often their stock in trade. So whether it slime thing or the gnome is the better, or better-ish, of the two is looking like a tossup right now to me.
Hopefully slime girl will be chatty :-/
Boros Black-Hand
Bound could refer to a spirit, as well, actually. If someone was deliberately prevented from going on to wherever after being killed in the Livery, indeed if they were killed in the Livery expressly for the purpose of being bound there after, that would generate some serious piss-off.
Miranda Greenblossom
Maybe it's an echoplasmic sludge-blob?
It seems as if they have have taken some inspiration from occult adventures and that is one of the concepts that book introduced to pathfinder!
____________________
It seems Varuzhan has picked a side, although slightly involuntarily I think. Which OOC makes me somewhat less inclined to side with the gnome.
I *think* Miranda will thus side with the blob. Not sure how though ...
Nissim Siverto
Honestly, unless I can see some compelling reason to get on a side, I'm not sure why we should. It's all very murky and without a reason, either someone who clearly deserves support, or who we need to get our stuff done, I might be happy to just step back and let them go at it.
Boros Black-Hand
Varuzhan totally ruined what could have been a great friendship. The Internet assures me that slime girls are absolutely awesome. And the Internet surely has no reason to lie about something like that.
;p.
Miranda Greenblossom
True!
Don't really feel to compelled to help either, merely trying to get Varuzhan back. We'll see if this backfires horribly or not :P
Boros Black-Hand
*grabs some popcorn, puts on shades*
Good thing you didn't have plans, right? Because I'm pretty sure those would have just been derailed into a flaming pile of 'WTF!?!' at this point, rofl.
GM Mordred
Oh, I know it's cruel. You don't have a perfect information scenario here and have to act on gut feeling. I may have considered one or two other options you had to learn more beforehand, but not without risks involved, and which you did not take.
Either way, there's some actors on the field, with an agenda of their own. How things play out is up to you...*shrugs innocently*...everythings nice and safe, once you get back home and sip some hot cocoa.
Boros Black-Hand
Evil GMs, always running people's lives like it's some sort of game or something...
Miranda Greenblossom
Maybe?
I/Miranda am currently operating under the assumption of some sort of charm/suggestion effect as we can't really try and deal with much else.
Unless Varuzhan is secretly into filthy gnome hobos and rats (quick! Mordred check your charts :P) in which case it is probably best if he pretends it was a charm effect ... ^^
Boros Black-Hand
Filthy gnome hobos, rats, and slime girls...
Why do I feel so utterly certain that there is an R34 of this somewhere...
GM Mordred
Oh, game is as much pg/adult as you please and the board rules allow. I'm one of those filthy liberal europeans, so everything goes.(but, the table is for NPC's...unless one of you WANTS me to roll for their character and is willing to roll with the result...)
Also, will update in evening to clarify turn situation(and do init for all of you so we have a more ordered situation). Nissim and Miranda may also learn a thing or two - don't hold your breath for plot-twisting revelations there, though...
Boros Black-Hand
I'm one of those filthy liberal europeans...
'S alright, we equally filthy conservatives of assorted nationalities forgive you :P.
