I think our best bet for solving the monkey problem lies with Nigel and that chant mentioned by the cloth.

As the party enters the Eastern Exhibit Room they see:

A large placard above the entryway to this hall reads “Hunting
the Beasts of Legend” in great block letters. This gigantic
chamber is relatively free of mist, and darkness is held at bay by
braziers of radiant light. Behemoths occupy these halls, great
taxidermy nightmares such as a two-headed bear easily taller
than an ogre; a great desiccated beetle, its carapace larger than
the face of the clock tower of Absalom’s Clockwork Cathedral;
a massive specimen of chimera, its jaws open in a mock roar;
and an assembled skeleton of a tyrant lizard. The walls here are studded with strange masks, staves, spears, and other implements of long forgotten cultures, most likely used in ritual hunts of the beasts preserved here

Weapons still drawn Azalia calls into the room. Come on outta there. We know your in there. Then steps cautiously inside. Eyeing the masks, feeling the heart pulsing spirits of ancient hunting parties on the wide open planes and deep dark jungles, Azalia can't help but drop her jaw open in wonder. There is ancient magic in this room. Long forgotten wonders.

The taxidermy animals do not call back to Azalia as silence pierces the room.

Looking around skeptically at the monstrosities adorning the room, Renli seeks another egress through which Nigel may have escaped.

Look, these masks are cracked and there are small bits of stone on the floor.

Azalia pulls a mask off the wall and puts it on. Hide her monkey face.

As Azalia grasps the mask off of the wall the rest of the stone cracks and falls from the mask to include another mask on the wall as suddenly a blackened, bat-winged fiend's head erupts from her hands as they both fly 50 feet into the air near the ceiling. Tentacles dangle from their chin and scalp as their fanged mouths hang agape.

Reenlist fires his bow at the grotesque creature as his arrow clatters off of the wall behind the creature.

Both flying tentacle faced monsters swoop down until they are 20 feet off of the ground and their jaws unhinge as they both let loose the worst shriek you have ever heard.

Billin rushes forward as he hurls a bullet from his sling at the flying monster. The bullet smashes right into the creatures tentacle face dislodging a few teeth that clatter to the floor.

Makoa grasps his weapons in a defensive posture

The two tentacle -faced flying creatures descend down until they are within biting distance of Azalia and Billin. The two creatures jaws seem to dislodge as the snap crooked fanged mouths at the two adventurers. The creatures fangs dig deeps past Azalia's armor as Billin ducks out of the creatures path.

Well I've certainly never seen anything like that around Absolom. It must be from the Mwangi Jungle? Stow away on a crate they brought back? Nasty suckers. Azalia looks back at her frozen friends. I wonder if what the mist did to us is what has kept us from becoming like them?

Leena-The table is about 3.5 feet tall. Acrobatics DC 14 or Climb DC 10 check it looks like

Leena does nor recall anything about these creatures from anything she has heard, seen or read about as she heads to the top of the table.

I am moving you there now but if fail the check I will just place you to the side of the table.

Billin flings another bullet at the creature and strikes it in the wing this time causing the creature to fall to the ground in a heap. As Billin slings the bullet the creature near him sees it as a chance to bite him again.

Azalia steps into the remaining creature as she slashes with her dagger missing the creature.

The remaining winged beast snaps it's jaws at Billin once again

Billin lets loose another bullet hat smashes in the front of the monsters face dropping it to the ground in a twitching mass of tentacles.

Shaking off the numbness in his limbs, Renli bursts forward in exclamation. "By Cayden's frothing mug, that was quite a battle! And Leena, leaping off of tables?! You are becoming a master swordswoman indeed! Hazaa!"
