Renli notices all of the taxidermied animals and begins to notice that there are dozens of masks that line the walls of this room.
Azalia Lunarra
|
I wouldn't dream of it! I'd rather eat raw corn-dogs at the Umbra Carnival! Let's explore some more... 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 +8 when finding traps. Like cursed masks. But it doesn't matter cause I rolled a stupid 3. again.
Renli Rumblebelly

While keeping an eye toward the masks remaining on the wall, Renli approaches the more southern of the two doors on the eastern wall. Placing his ear upon it, he listens for any threats that could be hiding within.

As Renli places his ear to the door he hears a mad cackling coming from the room within.
Renli Rumblebelly

Turning back to the others, "There is someone on the other side. Doesn't sound like one of the apemen, though it does sound like the individual may have lost their mind. Be prepared for trouble. Any plans going in?"
Azalia Lunarra
|
Open it 8 inches. I will sneak in. If you should enter slowly I will do this *hand signal 1*. if you should bust the door down and enter howling i will do this *hand signal 2*. If you should not enter and cut your losses at just MY death I will do this *waves arms in air in freaking out fashion*
Azalia will sneak in and move directly to the nearest shadowy corner, then signal the others to enter.

These public restrooms seem to be for the use of visiting
clientele. Several stalls are here and a huge cesspool below
collects the offal. Mad laughter echoes in this cramped
stone chamber. The stench of sewage battles the cold of
the mist, but through the haze can be seen smears of blood
across the floor, walls, and ceiling, as well as the doors of
several stalls. In the NE corner of the room lies a half-orcs head in a pool of blood as gnats and flies circle the room.
The laughter seems to be coming from one of the stalls and echoing off of the bloody walls as soon as Azalia enters the laughter stops except for very short uncontrollable bursts as the SW stall door bursts open.
Azalia sees a pudgy, bald human rip open the makeshift door to the stall. As the man walks from the stall he falls (not literally) into fits of maddening laughter with specacles of saliva forming around his mouth as he clamors out of the stall towards Azalia dragging a bloody stump. Upon exiting the stall he hurls the stump at the western wall. As the bloody stump hits with a sickening plop the stump rests on the floor.
Azalia is in the room. Everyone else is on the otherside of the door awaiting her signal

Leena bashes into the room as Azalia and herself rush for the NE corner of the room.
The cackling man rushes at Azalia as e slams his meaty fists at her body. The man's fists bounce off of her armor.

Hearing Azalia's screem, Billin says, "C'mon, boy, there's trouble afoot," and Remue rushes into the room. Billin draws his morningstar as they close. Once they have arrived directly west of the man, Remue nips at him.

As Remue bites the man's leg, Renli slams the flat side of his balde against the man and Azalia's blade cutes the man's face deep he falls to the ground in a heap. Within seconds the mist begins to escape every orifice in the man's face as he visibly shrinks, returning to a normal sized human.

The man does seem to still be alive. His face is bloody but he seems to be unconscious.

Renli looks about the company, "My skill lies not in setting bones. Can any of you make sure this man will survive?"
Stepping back, he searches the room for any clues that may be of use.

Billin is able to stanch the bleeding. The man seems to be more stable.
Renli just notices the half-orc head lying in the corner of the blood spattered room. There is a cesspool in the middle of the stalls piled with muck and insects buzzing all around it.
Renli Rumblebelly
|
Holding back his last meal as he spots the half-orc's head, Renli looks to the others, "Still no sign of the curator...if he is stable, then let's keep moving."
Renli exits the lavatory and checks the door (both listening through it and checking for traps) to the storage closet adjacent to the pot-chamber.

"Oh no, Captain Maldris asked me to look for a Half-Orc called Sheg Wraithbane. He's a night watchman of this museum. I hope this head does not belong to him."
Lymwin starts looking for the half-orc's body, in the stalls and in the cesspool.
Take 20 on perception if it's possible for a 28
GM Tyranius
|
Renli is unable to hear anything from the storage closet door as Lymwin and Azalia see limb connected to the majority o a torso hidden beneath the surface of the cesspool's muck.
Leena is unable to detect any idols or magical items within the vicinity.
GM Tyranius
|
Azalia and Lymwin grasp the leg and pull the torso out of the smelly cesspool. Attached to the torso's belt is a ring of keys.
Azalia Lunarra
|
Finally, a break! Azalia grabs the keys and tugs them off the belt. She wipes them up with a rag as best she can. Probably get out of this mess alive and end up contracting cesspool fever and die! she says with dark sarcasm.
Lymwin Shinebug
|
This seems to be Shag's Body. Lymwhin says to herself. Can we please take the keys back to Captain Maldris after we finished this mission? she asks Azalia.
I know that there are no faction missions any more, but it's fun to do them.
GM Tyranius
|
Yup that is why I threw them in :)
Lymwin and Azalia recover the keys from Shag's belt loop
Lymwin Shinebug
|
Lymwin puts the keys into her beltpouch. "Thanks for your understanding." she says.

@GM Tyranius: did I hear anything or notice any traps on the next door per my post on Thursday night?
GM Tyranius
|
It was up above but here it is again. Renli is unable to hear anything from the storage closet door as Lymwin and Azalia see limb connected to the majority o a torso hidden beneath the surface of the cesspool's muck.
Renli Rumblebelly
|
my apologies, totally missed that
Hearing nothing, Renli opens the other door off the Beasts of Legend exhibit (map listed as storage).
GM Tyranius
|
This simple room of unadorned stone is piled floor to ceiling
with boxes and crates, allowing room for only a few small
corridors between these towers of dusty, mothballed exhibits.
GM Tyranius
|
Azalia finds old exhibits and a small rat runs out from a crate as she opens the lid and scurries around the corner.
