"Bleargh!"From the barely controlled look of rage and the exclamations of fury Menas seems less than impressed with entangle.

Reflex Save vs Entangle:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Ripping his feet from the suddenly lush undergrowth he sets his stance firm for another swing.

Still awake, ended up answering e-mails!

Need Reflex saves DC 14 for Gaza, Othrik, Varos, and Haterivet.

Actions for Gaza, Quain, and Emilian.

Updated Map

Creatures that fail their save gain the entangled condition. Creatures that make their save can move as normal, but those that remain in the area must save again at the end of your turn. Creatures that move into the area must save immediately. Those that fail must end their movement and gain the entangled condition. Entangled creatures can attempt to break free as a move action, making a Strength or Escape Artist check. The DC for this check is equal to the DC of the spell. The entire area of effect is considered difficult terrain while the effect lasts.

Entangled condition: The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) or lose the spell.

For this combat, I am not allowing readied actions for anyone. Thought it would be too much of a hassle in PvP as everybody would declare readied actions and it would be too difficult to adjudicate. I have found a solution, I believe, that will be implemented in future combats. In summary, no readied actions for anyone this fight. I will announce my proposed solution/rule after this combat is over. Okay, back to the slaughter.

If there is no delayed action, then Quain will pre-empt.

AS the two fast runners take menacing poses in front of the tournament squares, Quain doubles back to J, -8, swinging his guisarme for the first time in a powerful blow towards Hollanders head.

damage 2d4 + 4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 + 3 + 2 = 15

His next words are for Cirnos: "Please, step nicely back to the Tournament ground and all will go well."

Everything is legit! Down goes Hollander, as the guisarme nearly splits him in half, his sling falling to the stone and blood spraying everywhere. As he lays there, dying, his eyes see the safety of the stone tiles oh so close before they close! The crowd above roars at the brutality of the blow that the prisoners catch faint sounds of the cheers.

No better way to start a morning that with fresh blood!

Reeling from the pain inflicted by Menas' powerful blow, Orthrik smiles at him with begrudging respect before swinging down at him with his cestus and going in for a bite.

Favored enemy applied.
Cestus Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Cestus Damage: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Bite Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Bite Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Second Entangle Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Unless there is intervention from somewhere I can't imagine..

Orthrik's vicious blows and bite take Menas to the precipice of death but he refuses to fall, at least for the moment! Menas is at 0/15 and disabled.

Disabled: A character with 0 hit points, or one who has negative hit points but has become stable and conscious, is disabled. A disabled character may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions, but he can still take swift, immediate, and free actions). He moves at half speed. Taking move actions doesn't risk further injury, but performing any standard action (or any other action the GM deems strenuous, including some free actions such as casting a quickened spell) deals 1 point of damage after the completion of the act. Unless the action increased the disabled character's hit points, he is now in negative hit points and dying.

The crowd moves to the edge of their seats, as the 2 warriors circle each other. Does the barbarian have 1 more swing in him?

Everything is legit, except for movement to K-2; difficult terrain, no 5' steps.

Menas' shield breaks Orthrik's jaw, as the ranger collapses to the ground. 2 rounds of rage used. Cheers go up from the crowd as another prisoner falls!

it was a move action DM, not a five foot step. i only used a standard to attack and a swift to rage.

"No point in waiting anymore in this jungle, follow me" - Haterivet said, referencing a missing follower of Midnight Lord. Overgrown plants tried to cling to him and hold him in place, slowing his movement.

Familiar sight, and even more familiar scent of blood spilled, filled his mind with memories. "Well, at least it's not mine blood this time" - he thought as he started moving forward, his progress slow through the thick flora. He moved in diagonal direction, going towards goblin and halfling, which were already standing in, what was considered safe zone.

"No doubt they are dangerous as well, but at least they are not wielding range weapons" - that was passing through his head, while he was glancing back to see if the priest was following.

Edit: original intention/post was not by the rules
Double move to B -3

Haterivet, it is difficult terrain so no running and if you double move, you only move 30' total.

F Tiefling 2CLR/ 1MNK

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Those that fail must end their movement and gain the entangled condition. Entangled creatures can attempt to break free as a move action, making a Strength or Escape Artist check. The DC for this check is equal to the DC of the spell. The entire area of effect is considered difficult terrain while the effect lasts.

Gaza, you have two chances to break free each round. If you do so on first try, you can move 3 squares.

F Tiefling 2CLR/ 1MNK

I thought you couldnt change a roll but above cleary changed my roll, no more roll then edit for me.

Does anyone else wish to continue combat or go after someone not on safe ground? If so, send me a PM. If I don't hear from any of you, I will assume no and we can stop with the entangle rolls and assume everyone else makes it to safe ground. Your choice.

Okay, we continue in initiative.

Gaza is entangled and can't move. Varos is up and then on to Round 3. I know Kwin is double moving. If you are not attacking, post your Round 3 action as move away or stay and watch.

Male Half-Orc Per: +2 Init: +2; HP 7/9; AC 15/15/12; F: +4 R: +5 W: +5

Kor will stay where he is to watch how things turn out.

Kazmuk looks at the crumpled body of Hollander and shakes his head. Perhaps not the wisest thing he'd ever done to ally with the man. And with most of the other prisoners deftly picking their way through his plants, it was time to retreat.

Double move to the tunnel.

F Tiefling 2CLR/ 1MNK

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
If successful will float to ceiling and continue move.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

F Tiefling 2CLR/ 1MNK

yea! She silently curses the dwarf guy at holding her up like that

Since Varos made save, he has 6 squares of movement so I will assume he moves with Haterivet but no matter which way he goes, unless it is backwards, he will end up still in the entangle so a new Reflex save is required at the end of the Round. He can choose C-3 or B-2.

Round 3:

Justified
Kwin (double moving)
Kor (watching)
Kazmuk (double moving)
Gaza (makes save and floats up)
Catelyn

So need actions from Bug, Justified, Catelyn, Quain and Emilian.
