Female Medusa

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

*Begins reviewing character stat block in preparation for combat.*

male Silver dragon

initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Kroug's Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
TheCreature's Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Differences in combat:
So, for the most part, combat is the same. When you attack, you are rolling against a DC that is equal to the opponent's Defense.
- If you would like to attack defensively, you may do so by subtracting from your attack and adding to your Defense for the round at a 2to1 exchange. (-2 to attack gets you +1 to defense)
- If you take full defense you get a +4 to your Defence. If you take a full defense AND have an appropriate weapon (or shield )with which to parry you may exchange attack and defense on a 1to1, so you get a +4 or perhaps higher bonus to Defense if you don't attack at all.

When you hit (or are hit) Armor is subtracted from damage. You may attempt to hit apparently unarmored parts of your opponent for a penalty to hit based on the size of the target area.
Pretty sure that covers the changes. I'm happy to answer any questions in discussion or PM

Order of actions:
Relio (22)
Meselleth (19)
Kroug (15)
Sidra (13)
The Creature (1)

The Corridor is 10 feet wide with a slight curve, with a 15 foot ceiling. The creature is charging forward fairly quickly, head down, horns out. It is currently about 50 feet away, but at the rate it is moving, should be on you in seconds.

male Silver dragon

Seeing the threat in physical form seems to dispel much of the fear of an unknown enemy. Though still worried, Relio now knows, instinctively, that battle will be joined. Glancing around at his companions, he knew, even at his infantile state, that he would need to protect them.

Uttering a shrill roar, he dashes past the others in the corridor, facing down the enemy and bracing himself, fangs bared.

Full defense this time, gonna stop that charge first.

Hmm...didn't expect that from yourself, little one.

1st Round Action:

Meselleth goes from calm indifference to snarling wild feline in an instant. Dropping into a crouch she snarles in defiance at the rampaging beast.

DM's information:
Meselleth plans to try and jump to one side, then pounce upon the creature once it has gone past. Yes, I know the corridor is relatively narrow at 10' across, so the beast may still get an attack in on Meselleth.

Acrobatics:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 (To jump to one side. Plus 'Full Defense' much like Relio )

Kroug scitters up the wall to the ceiling, and begins chanting in undercommon.

Female Medusa

Round 1

Sidra will move to be flush with the inside of the doorway of the room they were held (5 ft step back). When the charging creature is within 30 feet or less, Sidra will attempt to gain its attention and lock eyes with it in order to transform it into stone. (Petrifying Gaze)

Normal Ranged Attack to lock eyes with charging creature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Sidra is staying out of the melee combat currently and attempting to "subdue" the creature with her gaze within the specified distance in order to give her "companions" a better chance to attack it.

GM:
* Rule stated in recruitment: STR is not added to your BAB to hit, nor is DEX added for ranged BAB. So that means Sidra does not add the +3 for her DEX, for a total attack of 18, yes?

* If successful, the victim must make a Fort save DC 16 or take 1d6 pts of DEX and be held in place by the Medusa's gaze this round. Each round, the victim must make a save or break away or take an addition 1d6 pts of DEX drain.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Fort save: 1d20 ⇒ 13
dex drain: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Although the creature's head is mostly down, the medusa manages to catch it's gaze as it charges forward. Arcs of energy erupt from her eyes, darting across the hallway in an irregular pattern until they meet the eyes of the rampaging creature. At 30 feet away, it is stopped in it's tracks, and it slowly begins to take on a greyish hue, and it's movements are visibly slowed. The energy continues to flow between Sidra and the beast as it visibly tries to turn away from her.

Sidra:
Although she has good contact, the effect seems to be slowed somewhat...almost as if the creature is healing back the transformation

If any of your characters had ever seen a medusa before, this is how all of their gaze works, so it is not something they would note as changed by the Mage

Relio, you're up

male Silver dragon

Seeing the attacker halted in his tracks, Relio'Than's predatory instincts kick in, and he lunges at the disabled monster.

charge, bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
AWWWWWW, REALLY? first die roll of the game is a fumble? COME ON.

As slow as it is, were it not for a bit of stumbling on his part, Relio would have connected. Instead, his feet are a bit unstable on the stone and he slides into the wall near the creature.

Meselleth, your turn

Meselleth leaps away from the marauding brute at first, seeking to attack from its rear.

Acrobatics:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Jump to one side and strike next turn

Meselleth misjudges the flailing of the creature, slowed as it is, and also slips on the stone floor trying to maneuver past it...Its meaty fist lashes out blindly, 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 but only finds the air above her head.

From above, the spider-creature Kroug finishes chanting and suddenly appears as 2 small bolts of force erupt from his hand, striking the creature 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 21d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2=4

The beast snarls its reaction, struggling against the transformation threatening to take it over.

Female Medusa

Round 2

Sidra, from her position in the doorway (and keeping out of the way of the creature which is 30 ft from them), continues to maintain direct eye contact with it -- the green arc of energy flowing brightly between them, hoping to stay the creature moreso with each contact.

Her right arm was tingling, the blue sworls and patterns itching from beneath the skin. Anger bristled at what the man had done to her skin. She wondered what it meant but she had some of his papers and she would discover the extent of his cruelty after she got herself out of this prison.

GM:

Each round, the victim must make a Fort save (DC 16) to break away or take an additional 1d6 pts of DEX drain.

raging fort DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Struggling even harder, it fails to break away from the medusa's gaze, frothy saliva dripping out from under its helmet. 1d6 ⇒ 5
The creature strains, still a grey hue and moving even slower now, its skin even taking on a granite texture.. It brings down a mighty fist in Relio's direction, heat and vehemence radiating of the creature with every heartbeat, 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18and manages to connect with the off-balance wyrmling. 1d6 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 7 = 6.
armor taken into account

edit: fixed some wording, the beastie actually failed its save

Relio on round 3!

male Silver dragon

Screeching at the impact of a heavy blow on his back, Relio'Than snarls, coils his neck with teeth bared, and lunges for a vital organ in the creatures midsection.

power attack, bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Come on now, really? 9 ft tall target and I'm getting single digits on the die...seriously

Meselleth, tail lashing, continues to skirt around the slowing monstrosity. For now she seems content to await her chance to pounce.

Rather be descriptive with my actions. Not going to trust the dice roller. :P

Kroug looks on from above, and seemingly decides to wait and see if the others can defeat the creature

With boundless fury burning in red shaded eyes, the beast tries once again to shake off the transformation; raging fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22, this time its vigor proves more focused, and it averts its eyes from the medusa, and the arc of energy between them fizzles away. He turns slightly towards the sphinxs and, howling drives his many horned head at her, swinging his meaty fist a half second later gore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 fist: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 141d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, but the rage of the beast makes his wild thrashings inaccurate, and again it doesnt connect.

just for Dm:
Int: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Meselleth hisses in reply at the creature's clumsy attempts at attacking herself.

Bluff:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18(To keep its attention and allow others benefits in attacking)

male Silver dragon

Relio weaves around the creature's wild thrashing, and as it rears back from it's swing, he darts in, snapping for its thigh.

power attack, bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Sidra calls out the the creature, "Over here you pitiful beast, your end will be swift"
Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
raging fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
It does look to her, but its rage turns its focus back to those attacking it and it flails and gores at the wyrmling;
gore: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 201d8 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 7 = 3,slam: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 191d6 + 3 - 7 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 7 = 0

From above, Krougg launches two more bolts of force at the creature,

Undercommon:
"I won't be able to do that again"

male Silver dragon

Relio growls and snarls the horn puncturing his hide, and quickly glances around at his comrades' position. Satisified his aim is true, he rears his head back, and exhales a blast of freezing air at the beast.

breath attack, cold: 2d8 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8 ref 14 for half

The creature shrieks as the cold washes over it, frosting over the greying, hardening flesh.
reflex save: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (13) - 3 = 10

The sphinx sees an opportunity to strike and bats at its midsection with her claws
claw,claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 211d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
and they are both solid hits, but the creatures hide appears to be too thick, and they merely scrape down its sides noisily.

Female Medusa

I realise Kroug hasn't posted, but last round he held action and went after Sidra, thus changing initiative order?

Round 4

Sidra was confounded by her diminished petrifying ability. The creature seemed to be reviving when it should have already turned to stone. Sidra's right arm prickled again, along the tattoo mark, the itch spreading from fingertip to eye.

How she wished she had her bow and arrows!

Sidra swiftly scanned the hallway for a passage/door away from the crazed creature stalking them.

Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21

At the sight of the howling yet still-standing creature, Sidra growled her frustration, the sound echoing through the marble hallway. Hisses ensued from her long serpentine hair.

She stalked the creature with her eyes, exerting greater effort in ensnaring it with her gaze once more.

Normal Ranged Attack to lock eyes with the creature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

GM:
Here we go again. ;) The victim must make a Fort save (DC 16) to break away or take an additional 1d6 pts of DEX drain.

male Silver dragon

Relio grows annoyed with the creature's persistence and goes on the offensive, leaping at the creature with fangs and talons.

five-foot into his square to enable full attack with claws and bite.

power attack, bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

claw: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
second claw: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
combined claw damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11 divide as needed, two claws, likely miss anyway.

I think. Still not sure if I got the multi natural attacks right...feel free to adjust/correct as needed.

Male Drider (aberration)

Not sure of the order, but here's my action this round.

Kroug scrambles along the ceiling (move action) gathering webbing in his hands. Perched near the graying creature he launches the mass of webs at it hoping to trap it (natural web attack).

Web attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 2 = 18
I subtracted 2 for the web attack 10ft range increment. I figure he'll stay one range increment out at 15ft.

Initiative order is : Relio, Meselleth(now being NPCd), Sidra, Kroug, then the creature, in round 3 Kroug is just positioning himself, so here's how round 4 plays out...

Relio quickly sees a chance to strike and lands a blow with his teeth and one claw, but like the Sphinx, it only scrapes down the creatures hide.

Meselleth swipes at the creature with her paws attempting to knock it down so she can discern a possible "soft spot"
trip attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
the creatures AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
She manages to knock it over, but not before being hit herself;
slam the sphinx: 1d6 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 7 = 4

The Creature is struck once again by the wild energy from the eyes of the Sidra and it howls defiance; raging fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 and seems to shrug off any additional effects, but is still quite rigid and moving slower than it would otherwise. If it was odd and pitiful before, it is moreso now, bringing mind a turtle on its back. All can see that the greyishness is slowwwly turning back to the sickly pink of the creature's rough hide.

Then Kroug's web comes shooting out from the ceiling and hits the creature squarely, barely missing the wrymling and sphinx.

The creature is now stuck to the ground and struggling to get out of the web str: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 but it doesn't seem to have the leverage at the moment and is held fast.

on to round 5!

Female Medusa

Did Sidra's perception check reveal anything, GM?

Sorry, from where she is now, she does not see any doorways; the slight curve puts the full length of the hall out of sight.

male Silver dragon

Relio isn't swayed by the creature's predicament; the wounds on his back are a reminder of the mindless brutality of this berserk beast. He lashes out at exposed flesh, hoping to either tear or crumble the partially petrified creature.

power attack, full attack

bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

claw: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

claw: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Hmm, I need to find the natural attack rules again. Almost feels like something's off. I rarely use power attack builds, and natural attacks even less. Any confirmation if I'm off the mark here, GM?

Relio: after a bit of research, looks to me like dragons have primary on both their bite and claw attacks.

Meselleth takes a half step back and paces a bit, looking for weak spots on the creature
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
but either does not see anything or doesn't share the information.

Male Drider (aberration)

Now that the creature is at least temporarily subdued, Kroug takes a round to study any magic auras on the creature or nearby.

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Female Medusa

Round 5

Sidra cautiously draws nearer the temporarily subdued creature and looking for the most vulnerable sections on the creature's hide (not affected/greyed by her petrifying ability), finds a possible section and allows the serpents on her head to bite at the immobilised creature.

Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23

Snake bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 (Damage = 1d4 plus poison.)

GM:
Poison - Bite - injury; save Fort DC 18; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d3 STR; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution based.

Sidra does indeed notice raw flesh, close to the helmet around its neck where the skin seems to have been flayed away, and looking closer through the eyeholes it seem the perhaps all skin has been stripped away from the creatures face. Further, the helmet itself seems to be bolted onto the beast's head. Before she strikes with her snakes, though she notes that she would have first remove the web that now entangles it, lets the snakes get caught.

The creature rages and thrashes against the web, str: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
and does finally manage to burst free, though it's clumsiness in getting to it's feet allows both the medusa and others around to take the opportunity to strike at it.

Sidra: you can keep your previous roll to hit

The snakes find exposed muscle and inject their venom,
raging fort vs poison: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12, and its seems a bit woozy as the poison takes effect str dam: 1d3 ⇒ 2

On to round 6!

male Silver dragon

As the beast thrashes through the web, it tears a leg free...right into Relio's reach. He does not waste his moment.

AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
threat?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
bite damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
bite crit: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

His jaws finally find true purchase, ripping free a chunk of flesh and a torrent of blood from the vulnerable limb.

As the monster finds what's left of its footing Relio drops the hunk of flesh in his jaws and assaults the beast with everything he has.

So as far as I can tell, does that mean all my attacks are at the same bonus?? Just gonna go with that for now, haven't had a free moment lately to dig for that entry, will find later.
power attack, bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

bite damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
claw damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
claw damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 if that last one even hits

Male Drider (aberration)

Here's my action for round 6.

Did I notice anything last round with Detect Magic?

As the creature rips through his web, Kroug panics and points the mage's staff at it focusing on the feel of magic, with a image in his mind of the creature immobilized.

Meselleth takes her swipe at the creature as it stands,
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 but again only scrapes off the creature's hide.

and before it can act again swipes out her claw, this time batting at the bolts holding on the helmet,
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, and the bolt looks slightly worse for the wear

Female Medusa

Round 6

In her current position, Sidra can still see the bolts (currently dented/made loose by the Sphinx) where the helmet is attached to the creature and strikes at it with her hands, hoping to dislodge it.

Unarmed strike: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

GM:
Sidra has the Improved Unarmed Strike feat.

Not sure about the crit here, so I will post it under the spoiler.

Confirm crit: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Additional dmg, if hit: 1d3 ⇒ 2

thanks for your patience everyone.

A well placed strike from Sidra knocks loose one of the bolts, and only one remains, before the helmet can be easily taken off, but even now it looks as though someone strong enough could tear it free.

The creature is less grey now, and it becomes obvious to the group that it possess some sort of rapid healing ability.

The creature wildly flails out with both fists and attempts to gore as well, gore, slam, slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 181d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 111d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
and the horns slash across:
random target 1-Meselleth, 2-Relio, 3-Sidra: 1d3 ⇒ 1gore: 1d8 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 7 = 3
and the Sphinx is cut by the wicked horns.

Kroug points the strange looking cane at the beast hoping for some effect, but nothing seems to happen.
Yes, Kroug did detect magic coming from both the helmet the creature wears and the flasks about its belt

To round 7!

male Silver dragon

"Stubborn prey."

Noting the loose helmet, Relio bares his fangs at the persistent beast, leaping at its head. He rakes claws across its face and snaps at the helm, searching for weak points that might dislodge it.

bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

crit threat, claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

bite damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
claw damage: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (1, 3) + 8 = 12

He looses his grip, however, and the beast's thrashing throws him to the ground with a dull thud.

Maybe with the helmet? Let's see.

Female Medusa

Round 7

It is healing itself! Damn its soul. Sidra's angry hiss echoes through the hallway.

Now the helmet has been loosened and Sidra noticed the dragon attempt to knock it completely off, she hoped to regain eye contact with the creature and attempt to petrify it.

She screamed at the beast, urging it would lift its miserable head and gaze toward her.

Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Once Sidra could gain some contact with the creature, she directs the green arc of energy from her eyes to its eyes, hoping to subdue it and bring the grey hue to its skin again.

Normal ranged attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Petrifying Gaze.

Male Drider (aberration)

Kroug reaches out with his free hand feeling for the magic flowing in the helm visualizing the energy freezing in place. (supressing magic item with dispel magic)

dispel check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Relio's claw and bite prove enough to knock the last bolt free and as the wrymling tumbles off the beast, the helmet comes free.
Beneath the helm is the visage of a truly tortured creature, humanoid but skinless, with its nose torn away, it almost seems a corpse. The glistening muscle exposed is red with life though, and the eyes of the beast are one who (like you all) have known great pain. It clearly does not have its mind clear, if it ever did, as it continues to flail in anger and rage.

Sidra catches the creature's attention;
raging fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
but it is too caught up in its fervor, and throws off the effects of the beam.

Meselleth, seeing the exposed flesh,leaps out with both claws;
claw,claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 211d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 51d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
and scrapes it well across the exposed muscle.

Kroug reaches out with his magic, attempting to affect the creature or the enchanted helm, but his concentration is not at its fullest and his attempt is turned away.

The creature seems even more enraged at the sphinx drawing blood, and focuses its attacks on her;
power attack: slam (x2): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
and one blow lands heavily on her
damage: 1d6 + 9 - 7 ⇒ (5) + 9 - 7 = 7

On to round 8!

male Silver dragon

Relio pauses for only a moment, beholding the anguish of the mutilated monster, and glancing at his own recently bound wings. "he is like us, but he is gone."

Now resolute, the wyrmling leaps for the beast's exposed face, raking and snapping at eyes, ears, and neck as each is momentarily exposed.

bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Wow. all 2's. I think the dice roller is trying to communicate...

Female Medusa

Round 8

The pitiful creature had no nose and its eyes were filled with pain. A tortured, broken beast. It would be kindness to put it out of its misery.

Sidra leans in again and allows her serpentine hair to bite at the now fully exposed creature, at its most vulnerable spots.

Snake bite attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 plus poison. Got to love those 1's.

Poison:
Bite-injury; save Fort DC 18; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d3 STR; cure 2 consecutive saves. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Male Drider (aberration)

Kroug maneuvers across the ceiling to get a better vantage point through the confusing melee (5ft step). Seeing the loose helmet he pulls a loose strand of web from his belly and flings it downward trying to pull the helmet away from the creature (mage hand).

web attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

As Sidra rears back from her snakes bite attack, (fort save for poison 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13, it takes 1d3 ⇒ 3 Str damage) Meselleth jumps at the now weakened creature again, attempting to claw its exposed face
claw,claw: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 251d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
And lands one strike across the beast's cheek.
claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

It recoils in pain, and swings its mighty fists at her,
slam,slam: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 131d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
landing 2 blows
slamamage: 1d6 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 7 = 61d6 + 7 - 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 7 = 5

Kroug cast out a web at the fallen helmet, and the web latches on, but after moving a few feet, the web pulls free as the helmet is too heavy for the grip (mage hand only supports 5lbs.)

On to round 9!

Female Medusa
