I've got no problem with you running Aluar, DM Awesome.

And you can make him go away when you think it's convenient, that's fine by me too.

I am definitely fine with you running Aluar/Jean. My suggestion is to run him for the full encounter at the vineyard.

If he hasn't been able to rejoin the game by the time we get back to town, I'd have him go off on his own 'mission'. That way, you could reintroduce him later if he can resume playing.

From earlier in the game, our options as stood were:

Vineyard (Where we are)
Westwood Abbey
Library in Capitol

There was also a mention of an excavation site where the amulet was found, in a tomb. Maybe we could find the location of that site, maybe we could learn the history of who that tomb belonged to.

We could always hit up the Abbey but I think we should learn about the amulet before we go poking around into how Alastair played a role.

@drawesome Yes, Yolk feels like he wants to delve into the history of the amulet and uncover any battles that may be tied to it, although he doesn't really state that anywhere in game.

I will try to find a way to RP his quirk in at the library

Looking for; where was he heading, and was it recently enough we can still follow him?

Yay, end of the next day. Another 100 EXP everyone for making it through. Plus bonuses, Arasmes gets 25 for his use of diplomacy to entice answers out of Adrien. Aluar would've gotten more for venturing off after the other fellow, but he is no longer with us...

And don't worry, there will be many opportunities to get XP and please don't gang up on Arasmes.

Hey DM_Awesome. Do we know if the road we are traveling on is generally free of bandits or other types of baddies? Or am I wrong in assuming that roads are dangerous to travel alone?


The road is a main highway from Sandpoint to Magnimar. Thus it has the opportunity for bandits, but not overly so. You know that guards also regularly travel between the cities on this road.
