So, about two years ago I started this game with a group in RL based upon King Arthur and his knights of the round table. It slowed because of issues in RL and... with the passing of my dear friend I figured I'd never return to this. This was a game that I mainly made with him and in most part for him because we both loved Arthurian lore. But I feel that, locking this away would be more of an insult. Now, I made this for the pathfinder system and I don't mind keeping it that way. But I can also use the Song of Ice and Fire system for it as well.
So the pitch right? You are all knights in King Arthur's court, soon after he has taken up the crown I will add. Now you can either take the place of a knight we know, Trysten, Gawain, Gareth, Lancelot, etc. Who ever you don't pick I will go about making a character of them (who are already done honestly). This doesn't mean you cannot make your own knight and play them. I even encourage that. The game would be played here, but the maps (since I have them all laid out already) would be on roll20.
So I ask you, those whom I have come to consider friends on this site, would you like to give this a try?

Timeskeeper |

Hold on! You need the character rules first! XD
Waskally, you don't need to be a Arthurian nerd like I am for this. After all there is always google! Or you could ask, I'm glad to answer any and all Arthurian lore questions.
As to the classes you have access to, anything that give you full martial proficiency.
Those classes are:
Barbarian
Fighter
Paladin
Ranger
Cavalier
Magus*
Hunter
Warpriest
*If you pick magus you have a little bit more to worry about
Now you may say, "Times! We have no healer! Or mage!", you will get NPCs to fill these rolls... if you're nice enough to them that is.
Now I'm going to go ahead and give you the character creation rules, and I think I'll keep it on Pathfinder system. Mostly because, while you can talk your way out of every fight if you're crafty enough, I want you all to have a great chance of surviving combat if you choose that path!
Abilities: 25 point by or roll 3d6+6
Starting Level: 4
HP: Max at 1st level, round up on .5 levels
Starting gold: Max starting gold+level 2 starting gold*
Skills: Background skills will be used*
Traits: Two traits, and you may take a drawback for another trait if you wish.
*You only get the level 2 starting gold if you take on one of the squires. Whom you will have to equip.
*Background skills are going to work a little differently. At level 1 you get 1 skill point in each of the following skills:
Climb
Handel Animal
Knowledge Engineering
Knowledge Geography
Knowledge History
Knowledge Nobility
Knowledge Religion
Perform: Dance
Ride
Survival
Swim
Now, you get 1 point in each at 1st level and them every level there after you get 2 points to put into two of them. All of these count as class skills if they are not already.
Edit!: I forgot Race! Okay human are everywhere, half-elves are found as well though further south, and elves are rare as they are a form of Fey in this world.

DarkestHeart |

Okay I'll roll and see how I do, but I may still do 25 point buy. Lets see...
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) + 6 = 13
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) + 6 = 20
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) + 6 = 18
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) + 6 = 13
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1) + 6 = 19
3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) + 6 = 20
So if it is 3d6 keeping all dice... yeah I'll keep that. ;)

Timeskeeper |

Now there is a bit I need to tell you when it comes to this world.
This land is named Altaira, and before Arthur took over it was without a king for almost a full 15 years. Arthur has been trying to keep this kingdom together and had only been on the throne for three years. He is still unmarried, though there have been a few who have come to call, he tends to send them away.
While there are multible gods, there is only one you need to know and worry about. Arkay is the god of Life, Death, and Time. He is the creature of human kind and there is a whole story around him. It is on the site. Under Arkay and Arturia. Who is Herald and bride. This is the only god Altaira recognizes thus the only one who is worshiped inside the boarders.
Lastly, while divine magic is free, though often only within the church, arcane magic is not. Those who show arcane power are trained under the crown where they serve the kingdom as a whole and watched carefully. This is because arcane magic is seen as dangerous and tied to the fey, which is a worrisome thing as Altaira shares a boarder with the Dark forest which is the fey wilds that leads to Avalon, Kingdom of the fey.
Now please ignore the tab labeled as Players, and at any point you wish, dive into the world of Altaira

Timeskeeper |

Oh, I would kindly ask that you ignore the character named Ryari. Normally she'd be hidden from player site but... Well I forgot! XD
Now I'm at work, so I'm on via my phone which really doesn't like me posting on forums not does the spell check program enjoy my typing, but I will try to answer any questions you have during that time. The squires are a subdivision that can be found under the knights tab. Feel free to pick any of them even if it says they are already taken. This was from the first group and we're starting over. Things can be changed and rewritten.

Timeskeeper |

Oh and since you're both going paladin, when you get to the part of backstory and all, PM me. We've got things to discuss.
Edit: I don't feel it needs to be said but I am going to anyways! Please no Chaotic or Evil alignments. You're knights of the realm to King Arthur for gods sake. I can maybe, maybe bend the rules for LE but I need a really really good reason on why you are with TWO paladins.

Mew...Alright alright, I gotta get in on this >.>. I enjoy a good knighthood
3d6+6 eh....~wibbles~
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6) + 6 = 20
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) + 6 = 15
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3) + 6 = 14
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) + 6 = 13
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5) + 6 = 16
Stats: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) + 6 = 12
I will not be near as epic as DarkestHeart :P But that is fine by me. Hmm hmm hmm. I will think on this as to what to play alongside two flipping poncy paladins >.> (I tease). Still though, not sure exactly what to play. I am fond of Rangers, Hunters, and Barbarians...but I may play them too much.
I see no love for the dwarves...sure there are Elves...wooo :P I tease.

Storyteller Shadow |

No one has claimed any knight yet. Though at this time Gareth would be more of a squire, but man we'll make it work! XD
Alright then I'll just make somebody up! That said...

![]() |

Ah yes, well if you know of a Squire fitting the earlier idea, who would not find squiring to a Bowman in a realm of swords and lances and is also not too choosy about the fact that the man has claimed himself as a courtesan at some point despite being a knight...Though if they are indeed female masquerading as a male then I suppose they can't be too choosy in someone who might carry a secret or two themselves?
Also...unusual mounts are we sticking close as possibly to Arthurian Legend and settling into the usual horses...or would a dire wolf be within the realm of possibility?

Timeskeeper |

Actually there is one who fits that! Neal. He a blond boy with green armor I believe is his picture. He is a bowman. Also, woman are not looked down upon as knights. In fact one could argue that the most fearsome knight is a woman! You'll meet her later! ^_^
We'll, get back to the courtesan part later.
Dire wolf? No. But a gryphon isn't out of the question. Nor is a Pegasus. Or a hippogriff.

![]() |

Sounds fun then, I won't start with a Gryphon, Pegasus, or Hippogriff obviously then but it's an interesting idea to aspire to....especially as a bowman.
I think I have the crunch ready for my character.

As for Neal I don't know the character myself so I would have to directed towards his fluff if I could at some point. If so, I would be more than happy to have him as a squire I am sure.
I feel like playing a bit of a poncy Frenchman in nature. Despite being a man of the wilderness, he prefers the comforts of life and despises being dirty. He enjoys his free time in the comforts of a woman's arms, a soft bed, and a large amount of wine.

Storyteller Shadow |

I should REALLY be updating the nine zillion games I run (or finish shoveling snow) but...
Strength - 18 (18)
Dexterity - 18 (16+2)
Constitution - 14 (15-2+1)
Intelligence - 21 (19+2)
Wisdom - 16 (16)
Charisma - 12 (12)
I'll have the rest of the build up at some point this weekend or maybe Friday if I can swing that.
My concept as above will remain the same.

GM Xan Nes |

Alright, I will be making my own knight as the only ones I know are Gawain and Lancelot.... and one of them was an adulterer.

Actually no, he did do anything then and that is why he lived through that whole thing! But before that when he was still a young knight, he tried to help a fellow knight, Percievel court a lady who wouldn't give him the time of day. Yeah Gawain ended up falling in love with the woman and she with him and his friend found them in bed...
