I found a source that states Bokken's Hut in 59 but no reason we can keep it in 51?
Stalker of Vengence
yeah he can be in 51, that is fine, adjust it for us.
At the end of the month, Stalker calls for an emergency meeting. Katrina had been attacked. Proposal of protection. This is just the quick blurb, we will RP it out in gameplay.

Yeah that is why I asked. I will put it in 51.
Can I say that working in Google Docs sucks. Nowhere as easy to deal with as Publisher and apparently you can't open Pub files in Google docs.
Even worse when I save the highres image after I make changes in it in Publisher it looses a ton of quality. So I have to do it all in docs to not lose resolution.
Tristan Morgan
Thanks for tackling the map. Changing the numbers will be nice :)
Quince Medvyed
Yeah I number the whole thing in publisher and it looked great put when I saved is as a png to bring to Google the resolution dropped. So its slower but I am going to build it today on Google.

Here it is the Updated Map!!!!
Quince Medvyed
Looking at the hexes you have listed for roads it appears you have 2 routes that run north to south from Elkheart and Fort Promise. I suppose it could be a winding road but the geography and rivers suggest 2 roads.

Mr GM, Kev wants to know why you are picking on his wife? ... lol

Eventually, every hex will have roads. They overall improve the economy and make travel faster. The lines to represent roads are more of an identifier than the actual road. Rember the hexes are 12x12 miles I thing. Roads just mean there are roads in the hex.

That makes sense. I was thinking of adding them to the map near the sites of interest but I get the idea that they just mean here there are roads.
Quince Medvyed
Are you guys able to see the map.
What do you think.
I added a few icons some from the AP maps and others that looked iconic and fun. Like the orange tree where we met Treissia. And the mushroom village where we met our faerie dragon and friend. As well as the iconic scorched tree and the Tree that marks the Mite caves.

You did great man! Looks really good!

I found the map that had all 4 plots of land and I included it on the left with the other 3 land sections greyed out. So I figured that after we start moving into the other sections. Then our section will be G1, G2, G3, . . . Which is why along the right edge of the map I have a few hexes labeled H8, H16 . . . and so on because they are part of the Hooktounge Slugh map. So if we grow the map can grow with us.
I have been learning to use Gimp lately so I played around a little. I have been doing a lot with Roll20 for my usually in person game.

Working on the map I also noticed a few things from the legend of the old map. There are things from Hexes we have yet to encounter.
I remember asking awhile back and Wolf just mentioned that in those instances its rumors we have heard if we haven't been there.
Because of this I figured that these rumors should be highlighted.
New Hex #- Description Old Hex #
47. On the Prowl (Rumored), Hills (7)
48. Lonley Barrow (Rumored, Hills (30)
50. Abandoned Fort (Rumored), Forest (34)
52. Mad Hermit (Rumored) Forest (32)
53. Old Belemane (Rumored) Hills, Waterfront (31)
54. Old Crackjaw (Rumored), Hills,Waterfront (52)
62. Mud Bowl (Rumored) Forest (39)
64. A Call For Help (Rumored) Hills (47)
67. Drake (Rumored) Forest (57)
It also should be noted that we killed the Scythe Tree at 51 (Old Hex 330 but have not explored that hex.
I know Wolf really wants us to meet Old Belemane.
Also there are still Hexes in the north of the region that we have not explored:

So far we have wanted to tie up loose northern ends. Do we want to run a exploration mission that runs down those hexes or send a team to look into those things (Svetlanna or orther NPCs that don't usually travel with us who might be lower level but trustworthy).
Quince Medvyed
Not to overwhelm us with options but the Campaign Tab has the wanted board that I am sure have something to do with the rumors we are hearing.
Tristan Morgan
Well we rescued Tig. I need to add the +2 loyalty to the kingdom. We should do a couple of the 1200gp bounties. We should save to get a lyre of building. It reduces the cost of a building by 2. It pays for itself in 7 months. This would be worth taking BP out to buy from Restov in the next couple of months in the long run.
Kevros Droverson
FYI all, I am traveling to Georgia to drop my daughter off for a year of Coast Guard Academy Self Prep. We are bringing a laptop but I am not sure what the Internet situation will be like or how much time I will have so if I disappear until next Thursday, that is why.
Cleonora Petalouda
Have fun everyone who will be traveling! I'm gonna stay at home. Where it is safe! XD

I gotta admit I seriously considered Quince just walking out and not coming back from that council meeting. LOL.
Lawful Evil jinni giving guards 3 wishes a day. That won't be a problem. LOL.

Oh I am so glad Cleo isn't in the room! Like the sarcasm she'd likely do would ruin this whole thing. Not to mention Quince, Tristan, and Kevros would likely look at her like, "We're gonna let this person onto the team?... Seriously?"

Oh I am so glad Cleo isn't in the room! Like the sarcasm she'd likely due would ruin this whole thing. Not to mention Quince, Tristan, and Kevros would likely look at her like, "We're gonna let this person onto the team?... Seriously?"
Cleo as far as we know isn't an old god who planned on killing us but now wants to see how things go.
nor
Is Cleo an evil wish giver screwing with reality 3 times a day for her friends.
So Cleo seems pretty wholesome to the NPC members of the council. Which by the way from the powers they have and habits they mentioned would know right away if we grew nervous and wanted to remove them. LOL
We are sooo screwed.
Cleonora Petalouda
Except, none of the PCs have seen the truest side of Cleo. They haven't seen the murderer. They haven't seen the interrogator. The most they've seen is Cleo possibly over reacting, and in the end was right. Only two characters have even glimpsed the depths of what Cleo is willing to go. That being Katrina and Larina.
I'm not saying she's worse than our genie or old god! But what would really ruin the feel of being honest because Cleo is rarely honest about herself. She'd laugh of this, though not openly, and if asked to share as well she balk at the idea before sarcastically going into the "I was born in. Yada yada," speech. Simply because she has no ties to these people. Even after saving about half of the court she still wouldn't blink at killing them if they where harming innocent people. The worst part is, outside of likely the old god, no one would be able to tell if she was lying because of just how much I can buff her bluff skill.
It wasn't so much of the, she's even worse, it was more of how she'd act through this. Which I feel would ruin the mood. Cleo just isn't the type to open up without a few drinks and even then it isn't easy to talk about for her!
Quince Medvyed
Yeah well. . . . that might be a problem. But if Cleo screws up we can take her out. If I am not sure we can take Berik or Sulvanii.
Cleonora Petalouda
Seeing as a basic Efreeti is a CR 8, I think you could take down that one. But if he is of the noble cast which are CR 10, then I'd worry. Or it he was an advanced one which is a CR 11. There is a CR 19 one but that is a different story! We're not going there! XD
Though both Sulvanii and Cleo would likely just vanish to come back later along the line. Really the old god would be the only one I'd be like "yeah no we're so totally screwed!" On. Because while we know on Golarian gods can die... It isn't easy! XD
Quince Medvyed
Wish seems powerful.
Cleonora Petalouda
Oh wish is powerful, but there is an interesting thing about genies... None of them can use wish for themselves or for another of genie kind. So Sulvanii couldn't actually use wish to fight you. He'd have to have someone else wish you gone. He could have one of you wish for something, then turn it against you in some monkey's paw like stuff, but he actually can't use it himself.

So I am at a loss as to how I should be feeling about what is going on in the kingdom. Its really a question of tone of the game. Perhaps direction of the game.
The recent council meeting has greatly unsettled Quince. We have several allies who are really powerful monsters and may or may not actually be allies.
Prior to the council meeting. Sulvani felt like "neat-o the GM wants to give us cool things so there is a jinni." At some point his stats made him useful on paper to put in a kingdom role. So because of the fact that it felt like we were getting gravy and then perhaps putting too much focus on mechanical kingdom management than real role playing we now have a evil outsider granting us and by his own words other random people in the kingdom wishes.
Prior to the council meeting Bearik seemed like a mysterious old fart who was super charming and wise. We again plugged him into a kingdom role because of great stats. I remember some discussion or rp about this but it feels like we are gaming the kingdom building issues and painting ourselves into a corner with RP. I don't remember and after years of posts it would take a lot of detective work to track down when sense motive rolls were made and how well we did or if we failed at multiple points to ask for them repeatedly (I don't think this was the case).
Now here is where I feel a real dilemma and its more about tone and direction of the game than a character choice.
Should this be treated like we are now in a kingdom intrigue sandbox or are should we continue the direction of what has felt like over and over again the push of the campaign, Explore, face obstacle, grow, and repeat.
It feels like now that we have "dealt with kingdom business" we should start thinking of getting back at tackling open quest lines and rumors.
But there is this nagging feeling like there are other factors that are potentially far more dangerous and significant going on.
My worry from the time when we first started Charter #2 was that good kingdom stat choices would happen despite good role play reasons. I thought that we had struck a great balance here. We crossed that bar and things seemed moving pretty smooth and rather benign. Now it suddenly appears that we are ridiculous fools.

I say let's roll with what we have, this is a new challenge brought before us and maybe done on purpose to see what we do with it.

That certainly is possible but I felt confused and just wanted to take the temperature on things. Some of these plot lines have been cooking for 5 years. So I wanted to gauge things. If this were at the table a couple quick questions would be redirection. Here a lot of nuance of communication is lost or takes days to get locked down.
GM Wolf
So what are your questions and concerns?
Well you may have been a bit naive as characters, not players.
Sulvanii originally gave you a choice: have an item that produces gold for you OR have him as your councilor. You chose him to stay and he made the promise to help build our nation to the best of his abilities.
Bearik. Some of you think him a snake. Though some of his gestures may have been more than expected but he has done wonders to help the nation grow. Yes that has helped him too but that is how most would play it out.
Be glad there is no evil forces that have infiltrated your council of Wardens.

Message to all games:
I AM A LITTLE FED UP WITH THIS... IF I AM SLACKING ON POSTING TALK TO ME! IN ALL MY GAMES I EXPECT YOU TO POST AT LEAST ONCE A DAY! I AM ON THE VERGE OF CLOSING DOWN SOME OF MY CAMPAIGNS FOR LACK OF PARTICIPATION! I SHOULDNT HAVE TO MESSAGE YOU, PLEASE CHECK YOUR GAME AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!
I am just making a blanket statement to all games, so you can't say I didn't tell you. Some games are better you should know who you are but even in those games we have people who are slacking!!!
Honestly I feel bad about most of my games, a little bit of encouragement would go a long way!!!

I think I do pretty good on this one! (it's higher on the list thanks to some of mine that are on hold with everything going on.) Though my work is being a little b%$##! Though to be fair they're doing the best they can as they're trying to change the schedule to cover times when we need the most people. Though I kinda got the shaft from this one. I have five shifts, two of which are night shifts that back up to morning shifts... Uha someone kill me...
Quince Medvyed
I am sorry you are having this trouble. I hope I haven't contributed to any stress.
One of my posts didn't go through. I had responded to your post prior. But it looks lost.
Quince Medvyed
So what are your questions and concerns?
If I were to boil down that thread to a single question it would be:
"Should this be treated like we are now in a kingdom intrigue sandbox or are should we continue the direction of what has felt like over and over again the push of the campaign, Explore, face obstacle, grow, and repeat."
Well you may have been a bit naive as characters, not players.
Perhaps. We haven't failed to roll checks. So we obviously might have as characters misjudged people that even as players we mistrust. But that is playing the game.
Sulvanii originally gave you a choice: have an item that produces gold for you OR have him as your councilor. You chose him to stay and he made the promise to help build our nation to the best of his abilities.
Right. The big issue at least for Quince was the self declaration of being evil. Perhaps this is an issue of game rule term being used in character but it felt alarming. Also who exactly he is issuing wishes to and what wishes they are could be potentially disastrous.
Bearik. Some of you think him a snake. Though some of his gestures may have been more than expected but he has done wonders to help the nation grow. Yes that has helped him too but that is how most would play it out.
Yeah he seemed to be helping. Glad he is openly saying that he used to want to kill us but not any more but that doesn't do much to alleviate fears. It also pulls the pin on a grenade of "well as long as I like supporting you I won't be using my god powers to kill."
Be glad there is no evil forces that have infiltrated your council of Wardens.
Ummmm is the joke here that we should laugh at what has happened and get back to exploration and expansion?
or should we laugh at the fact that we have been infiltrated by evil forces on the council?
Cleonora Petalouda
Well, do remember Quince that in Golarian morality is far more clear cut then in our world where it changes with the culture. We can see this from how things are broken down in acts and codes. However what evil means is still in question in a way. For example I'm fairly sure Sulvanii's evil is different than Cleo's evil. Like I'm Golarian slavery is stated as being evil, but now all evil people agree with slavery. For example Cleonora doesn't like it, but she does understand how and why it comes about. She'd never take part in it and would be what she could to stop it but she know some people put themselves in that position because of poverty and other issues. She doesn't like it, but it is a evil she's willing to live with as she doesn't have a better option to replace it in places that are built upon it. However those which don't have it she'd fight it's inclusion. (One of the reasons she went off on the tirade about it. Because no matter who wore the bracelet those here would still be endorsing slavery. Though with the approval of the one enslaved there was little more Cleo could say.) The fact she opposes slavery is a good trait in Golarian, (and our world but I'm focusing on this fantasy world right now!) and many of her other traits of generosity and community are good traits as well... Yet Cleo is evil! And would possibly tell you such if you asked her... Depending on how you ask.
This comes from just how far Cleo is willing to go. Murder is as simple to her as it is to a cat who catches a mouse. While who she kills is restrictive and even that has rules in place that she follows, if the threat is great enough she will disregard them though not without great care and thought. Her judgement is also greatly the same. She's as cutthroat on a murder as she would be a thief. Her willingness for that and her ease at which she could lie about it does stick her in the evil spectrum. And because these things are so core to her being and who she is it gives her the evil alignment. Though one could say she does it for the right reasons, the protection of the innocent.
Of course it makes sense that Quince doesn't agree with evil characters as he has show himself to be a bastion of good, at least when not mind controlled... So yeah I easily see him very unnerved by finding out Sulvanii is evil and identifies himself as such as evil acts are clearly defined in this world. But something that might help him through this is actually talking it through with Sulvanii about how he is evil as it comes in so many different flavors! If he needs to he could wish for Sulvanii to never lie or withhold the truth from him and then speak about it. The main point is the how of why he is evil is as important as the fact he is evil!
I hope this helps! Sorry if it is a little hard to read as I typed it up quickly on my phone while on my lunch break! (Which isn't very long) Now back to work for me!
GM Wolf

"Should this be treated like we are now in a kingdom intrigue sandbox or are should we continue the direction of what has felt like over and over again the push of the campaign, Explore, face obstacle, grow, and repeat."
That is completely up to the players. I can easily go down either path or both.
One thing you should really pull from the confessions is Katrina pulled out the truth. She WILL be able to do that again.
Well you may have been a bit naive as characters, not players.
Perhaps. We haven't failed to roll checks. So we obviously might have as characters misjudged people that even as players we mistrust. But that is playing the game.
Yes that is true and when needed I have done other rolls for you too. Yup yep!

Excellent questions and you should bring them up in character somehow. Perhaps at the next meeting?

Oh, yes technically you let the Efritti in. So yes there is an evil force. But how about an evil wizard or rogue that say they are working for you and working to depose you.... just waiting for the right time. Yeah you could say Bearik but also look at the positive side of things.
---Yeah it looks like a lot of posts have been eaten within the last few weeks more than normal.
I am fine with your spoiler/private discussions. I actually encourage it more! But would you also please respond to my NPCs, I am trying to get things moving and none of you have responded to them. Well Kevros has a little...
GM Wolf
Thx Cleo, I think that should help, but really the bottom line is get to know your NPCs. I think it was Tristan who made the decision to have Sulvanii help the nation, but I could be wrong, I know the whole group was there to one measure or another.
Sulvanii has made an Oath to do what is right for the nation and to support it. He seems vested in you, otherwise he would have wished you away. XD
Honestly he is more lawful than evil, but he is still very selfish, greedy, and is filled with avarice. Using his ability he is saying himself.
Also Quince has the lamp and can summon him at any time!
Tristan Morgan
I can't remember how Sulvani played out. It was something with Svetlana and she wished to become an adventurer.

Cleo is a whole other bag of worms we will look to work out some day. But I don't imagine alignment is obvious unless you check for it. So I don't figure I know the alignment of a PC or an NPC unless it is somehow revealed. It being on a character sheet has little to do with what Quince knows. Unless through knowledge, spell or action it comes up. Because of the simple fact that I had been assuming we didn't know Sulvanii's alignment that his bland statement of it was shocking.
Which if we have that ability now would make sense to use. But if I remember we scored a high enough knowledge check to know some gennis are bad but not directly.

Apparently I wasn't clear enough for all of you. I moved ahead in time. You may continue to ask about wishes and such but the 2nd of the next month is when your next expedition is set to leave. Why they are all collecting and getting ready to go.
So Cleo, you are back as well.
You all should talk with any NPCs you think should go with you and collect your gear.

I thought was the NPC you wanted us to respond too. That and I am having trouble figuring what to wish for.
